Qusetion about laminate...I have installed several floors now but had a problem with a couple areas. After installing the seams seem to come apart some, I slid them in and locked them but they seem to have small spaces showing. This is a 100 year old house and is definately not square. And are spacers at the edge enough space for expansion? Thanks Sue Love the videos!
@mcavoysue25 Not sure why your seams are not staying together. After you click them in, are you tapping them in all the way with the special tool? Watch some of my other laminate videos where I attach the panels together using the tool. For expansion, most directions say to allow a minimum of 1/4" to 3/8" gap. I wouldn't go any less than that. The spacers can adjust for whatever size you need. I have a video of that too. Your floor should still go together tight since it snaps together. Joe :0
I've laid on a few floors in my time, and finished them off; but you won't believe this...I asked a plumber to come around, and now my front passage is leaking. Talk about a cheap job.....What would you suggest?
@DAZUPYOU I thought this trim piece was a good idea. I actually found it in the carpet section of the hardware store. Always look around at the store for other options for your trim or threshold needs. Joe :0
@Amnas2011 Glad to hear you got a little insight on the videos I've been putting out. That's the classic "the more you watch, the more you learn". It's a good habit......huh lol! Joe :0

I won't, don't you worry. I'll install your screws in future; so that's another lesson learnt, isn't it?!!
Which type would you recommend?
