Yes, it's amazing how far away and out of touch we've gotten with our food. People are starting to become aware. I'm hoping more farmers and schools connect and work something out.
my college is about to start a school garden, in which we'll sell our crops back to the school for the cafeteria. Can't wait to see it implemented. Good to see that it has been succesfull in other areas

Yes, I found that very interesting - if the veggies grown by local farmers are made available, kids find that they taste good! Food grown to hold up during shipping, well, doesn't always taste that great. Kids are smart.

This is the only time in human history when a calorie of food cost more than a calorie of energy (petrochemical) to get to your table. Ridiculous.
