"yama" means mountain. "gen" means strings. They have lots of guitars, so they named like that.

The group name is "YamaGen (pronounced as yama-guen)" and consists of two Japanese session guitarists, Yoshiyuki Sahashi and Hirokazu Ogura.
Sahashi is on his play seating on a chair on the right in the screen, and Ogura plays on the left front.
