The engineering isn't the problem though, the impact of the planes hitting the ground with the hydraulics would damage the planes, plus the excessively large wheels would take up a large amount of space in the fuselage, taking away from the amount of fuel the plane could hold. They could theoretically build one, but it wouldn't be able to function....at least safely
