Thats how it starts. I started smoking green when i was 11-12, saying i could stop when i wanted and 'its not a drug', im now 20 and still smoking it. it got to the age where i was at college and i was still hitting some of the highest marks in my class, soon after i was onto smoking between 6-10 blunts a day (and finding time for that many doobs after college and between other shit isnt easy).
It soon lead to me then smoking in my free hours at college and going to lessons baked, soon after that i lost interest in things i was interested in before such as going out and playing rugby. As ccnt89 said in an earlier post, you just gradually grown used to being by yourself and never going out etc and your world around you gets smaller and smaller, friends no longer hang out with you anymore etc.
I admit that i am a weak minded person in that i could not control my habit, but still to this day i am trying to cut it out completly. Anything in moderation i agree is fine, but dont let people fool you when they say it isnt addictive and its harmless because one day you'll find yourself in a similar situation as me and look back on the last 6 years of your life and wish youd done things differently.

Exactly since Harvard have finished research on it and find that it prevents many types of cancer from forming.
But if a person under 18 uses it there is a 80% chance of brain damage since the brain is still forming at this age. Thats according to US research into it.

Its a FACT that alcohol is worse then Cannabis but I am not going to ignore scientific research which shows that people under 18 who use cannabis daily are effected more by cannabis then people who smoke at later ages.

Thats how it starts. I started smoking green when i was 11-12, saying i could stop when i wanted and 'its not a drug', im now 20 and still smoking it. it got to the age where i was at college and i was still hitting some of the highest marks in my class, soon after i was onto smoking between 6-10 blunts a day (and finding time for that many doobs after college and between other shit isnt easy).

It soon lead to me then smoking in my free hours at college and going to lessons baked, soon after that i lost interest in things i was interested in before such as going out and playing rugby. As ccnt89 said in an earlier post, you just gradually grown used to being by yourself and never going out etc and your world around you gets smaller and smaller, friends no longer hang out with you anymore etc.

I admit that i am a weak minded person in that i could not control my habit, but still to this day i am trying to cut it out completly. Anything in moderation i agree is fine, but dont let people fool you when they say it isnt addictive and its harmless because one day you'll find yourself in a similar situation as me and look back on the last 6 years of your life and wish youd done things differently.

Look at Amsterdam,its relatively legal over there and there ammount of drug addicts is the lowest in Europe.I think if drugs were legalised a lot of things would be different.There would be none of the stigma for one thing.

I wouldn't be opposed to seeing people get certified/licensed. Since it is risky like driving a car, and without prior knowledge it is like diving in at the deep end. I've seen many cases gone alright, and bad. Some unique brain-chemistry make up aren't suited of recreational drugs, and for some it's a good way to let off their steam(alcohol included).

Problem would be the switchover period. Like the week when 24 hour liscening came in, binge drinking went up. If cannabis was legalised then abuses would spike and keep spiking for a long time before we had anything approaching Holland's stable condition.

I was under the impression that a campaign entitled "talk to FRANK" would be frank with its audience.
This advert doesnt state what drugs are addictive, and to what degree, lumping all drugs together, which is rather deceptive.
I suppose its only a brief advert though.

if they want to run a decent drugs awareness campaign they should just say why people take them and what is so good about them (no point hiding it),state the risks and some statistics to put into context, and show how to stay safe if you do take drugs.
