I am an antique collector and HAVE the ships bell from one of the vessels used in this test. THE USS HUGHES DD410. It was removed before they sunk her as well as most other brass and copper bridge items. I am honoured to be in the presence of it!!
specially, japanese people understand the warnings of atomic weapons, you know, the terrible event in 1945... I'm very sorry
what you told us is true, but unfortunatly I don't think that nuclear devices will disappear in future... the man was born with his weapons, until the end...
Very ironic to see Able going off. Ive just read a book about the Manhatten Project.
The plutonium core of Able was the source of two lethal criticality accidents resulting in the deaths of Harry K. Daghlian, Jr. and Louis Slotin at Los Alamos in 1945.
Both recieved a lethal dosis of radiation in two seperate accidents during critical mass experiements with the core nicknamed "demon core" that was later used in Able.
The description of their days long sufferings is just horrific.

This video is important and we should pay attention to this incident.
Today, Japan is very peace.
But Japanese young people don't know War. ...also I am.
From the first, nuclear weapon don't need for human life.
