  • I am 27 years old and having my 3rd spinal surgery Nov 4th!! Next week!!! Im scared because the last one 3 years ago--the surgeon accidentally punctured my spinal sac when he was chiseling and I lost brain/spinal fluid--bacteria got in and up in my brain and I got Bacterial Menengitis!!!!! I almost died in the Hospital ..........................I hope it doesnt happen this time because he is doing a 3rd fusion and more extensive!!! If you had similiar please fill me in

  • @sublimechick571 Hey man what up, Well I kinda wanted to ask you, How you mess up your back? Hope your surgery goes well.

  • @1989NikeMcfly thanks so much!!! I have scholiosis. Noticed at age 10 and did a Harrington Rod surgery to correct it. Had a 2nd surgery 3 years ago and now this one should hopefully be it lol.

  • i had the surgery and i im still in pain.

  • cómo no amanecerme habiendo tantos pinches videos en youtube!!

  • I've had a herniated disc for almost 27 years. It's REALLY bothering me now. I know I need to go to a Dr. I went to a chiropractor and didn't get much help there. I like to run and train with weights, but I'm even having pain when I walk......Any suggestions?

  • @mholub I dunno if you've done anything drastic yet, but as far as I know, chiropractors are not the best choice for a herniated disc treatment. Your best choice would be a physiologist, and a good one, or take an operation. Personally Í have had a disc herniation for around 5-6 years, got it when I was 16, but treatment has been very slow, and I'm thinking about taking a surgery, but know that I've only been in treatment for almost a year... but that's still a long time.

  • @AbyssalHeim Thanks for the response. I never heard of a "Physiologist." I'll have to look into that.

  • @mholub I do not remember if that is the correct term for the doctors I'm talking about, I could be wrong of course. But be careful with the chiropractors, if he does not mention anything according to the sciatic nerve or the muscles surrounding that nerve in the lower back region, I wouldn't fully trust him. However I can also suggest you trying the operation, I hear they are pretty safe and stable now with very great results. If I do not get healthier soon, I'll take the operation myself :)

  • @AbyssalHeim Thanks again for the advice. I really appreciate it.

  • @mholub 27 years is a very long time!!! Hopefully You get better man, Try a surgery and see how it goes.

  • wow

    i am with gshock48

  • how long does it take to recover from a herniated disc under normal circumstances

  • I have just for a week ago been operated for a herniated disc between L4 and L5

I had pain going from my bag and down my in my right leg for 2 months before I was operated. 6 weeks before I got the herniated disc i gave birth to a little baby girl. And I had to stop my breastfeeding since I had to take highdosis painkillers :-(

  • i think i might have something like this i cant get up off the chair without pain anyone know anything?

  • @pujolsisthebest you should go to the doctor, i got the same pain (i think) 4 monts ago, & i´m just can´t make any movement without lots of pain right now : / try prolotherapy condroitine glucosamine... good luck

  • @5hockorrol I went to a surgon and he sayed i just have some crowding on my lower part of the spine it helps alot to go work out and streach it out he is having me do theropy

  • @pujolsisthebest start working out and strengthing the muslces in your back

  • @AshtonMontgomery my theripy is heloing out alot

  • aaaaaaa

  • 5 stars 2 u ... i like this video !!!

  • @jazminluana sei 1 coglione

  • Schau doch mal bei Facebook unter " Schmerzfrei in 5 Minuten" vorbei, eine geniale Sache, wirkt wirklich.

  • chiropractic or osteopathy can probably be tried before resorting to this. there is a lot of research 'back'ing that up.

  • Multivitamins, protein, glutamine, vitamin C, flaxseed oil or fish oil, creatine, exercise, rest, stretching, and dedication is what's gonna heal that naturally.

  • I had L5-S1 microdiscectomy 4 weeks ago. It is such a relief to have no pain in the leg, that discomfort and mobility restriction that I still have is nothing in comparison with what it was one month ago. Numbness is gone, mobility and strength are slowly coming back. Next goal - to tie shoelaces on my own! Don't wait - agree to the surgery! It is worth it!

  • way too many peoples have this now ...something is affecting our back like those microwave and fluoride....fluoride do create stenosis. anyway had the surgery at 20 yrs old .....have the back of a 70 yrs old and im 32 still works and im trying to keep in shape best stuff is pool and big bag of ice on the back when i feel pain.

  • @f3nder111

i am 34 and been in pain past 6-7 years, docs advised me laminectomy which i never. i just came to India and doc here is very willing to go thru the same route, starting with epidurals, my aunt had one stent put in her cord. it sucks to have that 70 year old back but this is what we have and we gonna fight till the end. Cheers!

  • yes i like video

  • hi. I really like this animation. are you the owner of this video??.

  • i just got my surgery of L4L5 the doctor operate me two time in one week the second one was becouse the pain never went away and he found a blod clogd and was puting presure in the nerve i feel beter but I dont have any feeling on my leg it all so he told me it may be never come back or may be take months to fell my left leg

  • depends of the injury sometimes you a back surgery or Osteopathic teatments, herniated disc in L4,L5 you can live it as long you take care of your life style,L5 s1 is better to go for back surgery dont wait till your pain start shooting down your legs, ciatic nerve can be damages, and star having electric shooting like electric discharges, loosing weight, exercice, like swimming, short walks and longer walks as you progress, find a Doctor in osteopathic manipulative treatment to help you

  • I'm 16 and I had a microdiscectomy done 2.5 months ago. Can honestly say I feel much better but the recovery process will take up to 6 months for a full recovery.

  • I have had this problem for almost a year.

I was sent to get an MRI and it turned out to be true,

my afected disks are L4 and L5.. My Dr said that before surgery they would try an injection to the afected disk's to try and help releas presure off the nerves,

Iv been told that sergery has to be the last thing on my mind,

can anybody help? i would appreciat it.

  • @PANCHO686 ok L$ L$ is not the bad in opposite if this is in L5 s1 is not good cause it causes alot of presure to the dural sacs,i will recommend to see Doctor in osteopathic, for manipulative treatment to decompressed and allow the blood flow,I am DO but Iam Mexico, ask your Dr to for a referral, also apply alot of ice,and keep walking, ask your dr too for orthotic inner soles to stabilized for posture,ell4generationfies@hotmail.com

  • The best way to cure a hernia is by loosing weight. I had a hernia on my cervical spine and I cured the hernia by changing my pillow and in therapy they would pull on my head outward little by little, The hernia was cured but I was left with mild artharitis on the region where I had the hernia. Now I have a bulging disk on L-4 - L-5 and a hernia on L-5 - S-1 I think the cause of it was playing basketball. Loosing weight is the best form to getting your spine back healthy and posture.

  • ثانكس

  • I am dealing with a torn disc in that area..It was a car wreck that caused it..This type of injury sucks and has really screwed up how I do things in a day to day bases...The car wreck was in April 2009 and with proper treatment things are improving, but still I feel it has slowed me down on many of my activities..

  • I had a lumbar laminecotomy. Typical L4 L5 herniated disc. It is never completely repaired. They had to cut into the back muscle to clear out the bone due to the pinched nerve. I would not put my worst enemy through the long painful recovery.

With that said walking on concrete factory floors for 30 years and setting up heavy machinery did me in. The reason I'm writing is to warn future supermen. I'm paying a large price for being a "good employee". Or ex i should say. What you do today hurts.

  • The body cannot heal itself if you no longer have a disk between L4-L5, you are a liar. I have nerve damage from the nerve being compressed for 2 yr. They have to cut my back and actually remove the bone spurs that have formed around L4-L5. The bone spurs cannot go away no matter what you eat, drink or what kind of exercise you do.

  • Therefore, the body is a self healing, self regenerating machine. It is able to heal it self in due time with proper dieting, healthy habits, and believing. It takes longer for it to heal.

But you can still do it. I know of patients who have been healed from the herniation of their discs. Inversion therapy has been found to help out A MILLIONS TIMES MORE THAN pils surgery or medication.

    IT CAN BE DONE!!!

  • Wow! i've had a herniated disc for about 2 years and a half. And Im only 22. It was from a hard fall on the basketball court. Pinched nerves or "degenerated" discs come in due time due to jumping, pressure, lifting heavy objects, diet and weight, and any other trauma that can cause pressure more than can be handled by the interverterbral disc. They say surgery is the last resort. But no, in fact, that's what the insurance companies want you to think in order to get money from patient's insurance

  • hi, i'm diagnosed with congenital absence of lumbar spine pedicle (L2and L3), how should i fix it? can anyone help me? :(

  • @lakerssuckballs In my state so many people are addicted to pain medication that the docs wont prescribe pain meds. Right now I am in so much much pain I want to jump offf the roof

  • @NOVUSORDOSELORUM it took me 7 years to get a prescription because the pill head problem is so bad, the thing is i have no problem finding them from lots of people, but getting them legitimately from a legitimate doctor and being young is hell, get a MRI, and just keep going back, work out/be healthy and conquer the pain like a small bug beneath a boot, and i only got the most minimal dosage of pain medicine , even though he knows i go to work and school 7 days a week and cycle 40 mi+ a day

  • I had back surgery (discetomy) a number of years ago in the lower back area. The surgical procedure lasted an hour and a\ half. I had immediate relief of pain in my left leg. I was in the hospital for one day. I was sore for a few days where I was cut open, but the soreness did not even compare with the crippling pain I had when walking. I felt completely headled on day 4 and was ready to go back to work. However, I was advised to take 2 weeks off from work, and I did. Techniques better now.

  • @ryukyuboi exactly the same with me. u feel no more sciatic leg pain which you've suffered from for so long. i almost hugged my surgen when he came to see me.

  • @CocoJelly92 Usually a result of injury as as result of bad health conditions, poor diet, lack of flexability and being overweight. Leads to you being at a higher risk for an injury that can cuase a hernia.

I slipped on a set of wet exit steps while trying to carry luggage with both hands. As my foot slipped off the step I stumbled, my right leg caught all the weight of me and about an extra 50 lbs compressing on my right hip causing a herniated disk at the base of my spine on the right.

  • @PIlotrcm

I was exiting out of a bus by the way, it was a raining and the steps where wet.....Im sure a lawyer wants to hear more about this now...ha ha

  • Can this be cured by hanging upside down? please answer

  • @scavenski hell NO. There are a number of therapies to cure a herniated disc. i would strongly suggest u see a specialist (neurologist). a herniated disc and the resulting Sciatic nerve pain is fuckn crippling. im 3 weeks out of surgery for a L4 L5 herniated disc and am almost back to normal.

  • @RoMpErStOmP3R sorry sir but you're wrong, i cured my herniated disc by hanging upside down 30 minutes a day, i was at the doctor for a test if it really is healthy, and it is.

  • @scavenski did u have MRI scans to confirm that u actually had a herniated disc?

Was the problem diagnosed by a specialist surgen (neurologist)?

im asking this because u may have not had a herniated disc, u may simply have a disc bulge in which case it would go back in by itself.

ask these guys here on YouTube "Non-surgical Releif for spinal disc buldging or herniation."

as some1 you has experienced the pain associated with this im glad you've gotten over it.

  • @RoMpErStOmP3R yes i had MRI and they told me it's mild disc herniation, they gave me a exercise programme but it didn't help much.. i had constant pain in the back and sometimes in my right leg aswel.

i did some research about hanging upside down and found that it has been used since ancient times...

human body has great regenerative potencial, some say limitless as long as you believe.

try meditating while hanging upside down it feels really good :)

  • @scavenski well i apologise mate "i stand corrected" and im glad your no longer suffering from the sciatic nerve pain.

i went thru all sorts of treatments... Psysio, chiropractor, lumbar nerve block, epidural steroid injections and none worked and as such became quite a skeptic.the surgery was and still is a last resort for any1. but in my case finally worked and im back to normal.

i dont know if i wanna hang upsidedown as ill probably fall and breack my neck.

  • The cause of your back pain is not at your back. So even if you try to get better by streching, manipulation or operation, you will never get better. The real cause is at the top of your head. The area becomes compressed and twisted. Then your head and spine become twisted and tight. As a result, your whole body starts aching. Compression and twist create unbalance and pain manifests at variou joints and areas. homepages . woosh . co . nz / whitelotus

  • I've got three of those at my three lowest discs, been dealing with it for 7 months. All I get told is some stretching and such, I do them, no help at all. Eating painkillers like candy, is this how my life will continue? Any similiar cases?

  • @Yorthan I feel your pain, I've had a large herniated disc for about the past year. Pretty much have been giving me pain killers and telling me to stretch. Nothing works, I can't take it anymore. I feel like a crippled drug addict. I'm going to see a neurologist soon, maybe he will help.

  • @Debodamus

Im 2 weeks out of surgery for Herniated Lumbar Disc at L4 - L5. feels heaps better i have no sciatic pain at all. Yorthan go to a doctor and get referred to a Neurologist and go from there. a year is way to long to have that sort of pain. stretching wont do any good.

  • @RoMpErStOmP3R Thanks for the reply. How intense was your surgery? What is your expected recovery time? I have an appointment with a neurologist on the 17th, I'm praying I can get some good news and get back to being normal again.

  • @Debodamus your neurologist will probably offer the surgery as a last resort. as there are always risks involved in surgery, infection etc...

however the good news is its a relatively routine procedure (Discectomy: there is heaps on Youtube about it) they'll get u standing up the very next day and you'll spend a couple of nights in the Hosp. your back will be sore from the surgery. this will fade over the next couple of weeks as your body heals itself.

  • @RoMpErStOmP3R

Thank you for the reply! Hopefully all goes well, good luck to your back also!

  • @Debodamus also for the next 4 to 6 weeks who'll have to be very careful with your back as the damage part of your discs reform and heal themselves. the best part is when u wake up u will feel no sciatic pain. if its successful

but ask your neurologist all of this im not a medical professional

  • @CocoJelly92 What I know is that in most of the cases it is generated from a fall, or something that has over stressed your back to the point where the only solution the body has is to "leak" the nucleus pulposus to the spine, becomes hard as bone and then the pain starts :/

  • @comosera

    check out videos

    VAX D

  • @CocoJelly92 :LOL

  • @CocoJelly92 its mainly do to a sudden twisting movment or as u said wear and tear do to lifting heavy objects incorretly

  • I don't typically comment; however, I am currently suffering from a herniated L5/L4 protrusion of about 5mm. Also issues at the S1. Pain is an understatement. DEFINITELY get a MRI if you think you have this issue. I have been seeing a spinal & sports therapy D.C. for the past 2wks, and the decompression non-surgical therapy has been working. 6wks - 20 sessions so we'll see how it goes. I just wanted to see what others thought about surgery options. That's what I want to avoid.

  • i thinkt taht i have that...

  • The lumbar supports the whole entire upper body weight, long term incorrect sitting position or extreme sports usually results in the wearness of the vertebral disc, especially the l4-5.

The spine is a very delicate ogran, if injured it requires a very very long period time of complete rest to recover. and do take antiinflamatory med in this time to reduce pain and speedup recovery. the fastest way to recovery is to follow ur doctors direction!

  • Only stupid humans have back problems, we are on 2 feet. Animals are on 4 and they dont have any problem.

One disc came out at l4-l5, it hurted so much. Couldnt sleep, walk, sit, lie in any position, couldnt do anything. Sometimes couldnt even move, because the pain was so hard. Now its okay after surgery and physical work out.

  • Decompression therapy is great for helping disc issues. We have helped many in our office.

  • I am 15 years old. I has a bulding disc with my L5 S1 disc. Ive has 3 steroid injections done, 1 week apart. It helped a little. I've done physical therapy, and try to keep up with doing it at home as well. Lately, my pain has been more than it normal is. I might have surgary done but I am absolutly terrified the doctor could make the slightest mistake and hurt my spinal cord or the nerves coming out of it. If you know anything that could possably help me & avoid surgery plz contact me.

  • @vampyXboo dude im the same way but im 16 and have it at L4L5 they are gonna try injections on me soon and if that don't work then surgery but im going back to therapy and trying a chiropractor that has a spinal decompression machine im trying every thing to not do surgery

  • @vampyXboo search out in your city for decompression. You will find some help. Don't expect the medical profession to embrace the therapy. If you look at my site you will see many success stories. Good Luck

  • @vampyXboo Do not be afraid of disc surgery. It is an out patient procdure. In and out same day. 4-6 weeks to heal. I had it done. Steroid injections merely calm the nerve down and heal it. They do not fix the problem, which is a herniated disc iritating the nerve. Surgery will remove very small portion of the disc that is rubbing against the nerve, hence fixing the cause of your pain. Don't be afraid, look forward to your pain being gone within 3 weeks after surgery.

  • You are so young, you must take care of yourself now. No you will not become parallyzed. As a farm girl I carried 5 gal buckets, later lifted typewriter, (worse) years of sitting incorrectly (driving, computer work) much worse. chiropractor (worse). Oriental acupuncture, (some help), physicial therapy,(relief) steroid inject only calms the nerves. Finally Spinal fusion - rod and screws I'm now as good as new! (pain meds caused ulcer)

  • hello people, two years ago i had a 360 fusion on my l4,l5 n s1 with laminectamy w/hardware, bonegraft. and my back is still in pain, can't sit too long and the pain is still constant. it might have help a bit but the pain is still there. so think twice before you get a surgery and good luck!

  • I'm 18 and also have a hernia at the lumbar

And let me tall yah the pain is fuckn the worst to a point that crying is a fucking understatement sadly I have to wait for my docters evaluation to see if surgary is nerd even thou I do have a hiernia I take to many pills for pain on a bad day 10 to14 pills a day on a good day 7 pills

    Hurnias suck

But I wonder can anyone tell me how is recovery after the surgary???

  • @JoseCoreMusic I have the same problem, we have the same age and I´m getting my surgery tomorrow... I´m nervous.

  • Technically, what they show is a Bulging disc, not a Herniated disc.

I had a herniated disc at L4/L5, and a bulging disc at L5. I fixed the bulging disc by hanging upside down, and had surgery (laminotomy-microdiskectomy) on L4 to repair the herniation. A herniated disc is when the nucleus gets out. It pinches the nerves and hurts like you cannot imagine.

  • I just found out i have a protruding disk i i am 26 years old and have had this pain since i was about 20 i have seen chiropractors and back doctors but they always blowed me off finally they gave me an mri and i found out about this. my pain is in my lower back i always feel fatigue and weak my pain often goes dow my leg sometimes it is so bad i cant get up or even walk sometimes the pain is in both legs i want to cry it hurts so bad.

  • @tinaater same here and i'm 19. had to get an mri and found out i have a ruptured disc and its pinching my sciatic nerve in my left leg. someone mentioned a spillover from the disc too. i wonder what that irritates.

  • they have cut me open there 4 times in 2 years & today again to the hospital because it's still fucked up! Shit happens is now an understatement...meh!

  • same here as all you guys, i was 20 when i got this i got injured at work had xrays and nothing came out so i continued working lifting heavy for another 2 months til i got the mri. thats when the doc said i had 6mm disc protrusion. got epidural steroid injection kinda helped

  • @daisylovesmoy I had two injections, helped, but if the disc is herniated/ruptured, surgery is the only thing at that point. I had surgery 10 years ago, and can still squat 375, and deadlift same. Got to be careful, of course.

  • with the x-rays we can see bones better if there is a problem with the curvature of the spine, but with the MRI we can see the nerves, the discs, the ligaments so yeah...in the end you need that one but there's a reason for ordering the x-rays

  • I've been suffering from this for 5 years...

Thanks to 500 lbs. squats (sloppily)performed in my early 20's that I regret every single day of my life...

  • yes i hd 3 times x-ry but it dint see whats wrong with my bck so i go to my rehab doctor n she suggested tht i shoul hve MRI nd boom!! i have herniate disc at the lumbar...its so painfull so guys go to a doctor now!!!

  • MRI is the most import to perform to know how mauch extensive is ok

  • It's better to make a CT-scan or a MRI from your back. Then they can see more at it. On that photos they had seen my hernias.

  • I currently have really bad lower back pain - and the pain is radiating up and down, right and left, back and front. I had an X-Ray, and it came out normal. Anyone who can help me, so I don't have to keep going back and forth to the doctor and finally decipher what this is?

  • Dude Xrays are stupid and useless. Ask to see a neurologist and get an MRI or CTScan done...

  • do an mri

I have the same complaint and did x_ray, it came out normal. but when I did MRI the doctor found Herniated Lumbar Disc at L4 - L5

  • Xray do not pick up disc or tissue problems.. unfortunatly because of insurance companies the doctors need to send in to things in order.. xray, phsyical therapy, etc.. before they send you for an MRI. MRI is the only thing that will truelly ppick up what is going on. Request it :)

  • i had this.... except mine was with the entire back half of the disc ripped out and the nucleus pushing hard against the main nerve of the spine..... causes pain to course throughout the body especially in the legs down the main nerve.... fixed in 3 hours by a surgery.

    hah!

  • Lord PLEASE explain more detail about your surgery!

I'm on all the pain killers, epidural injections, dos pack steroids & anti-inflam medis probably known to man. Chiropractor/ DTS? Done that! I look like a crab on my worse days and missing wrk more often for lnger stretches of time. Used to weigh 300lbs and down to 245 after a year of changing my eating. The pain doesn't go away. Crippling.

I'm 38 years old. 3 MRI's, Degenerative Disc Dis, spurs, etc.. Is there anyone that can HELP ME???

  • Mungo hello I sympathise with your pain I have had 2 disc surgeries here is my advice , and experience .

    1 seek out a surgeon

    2 have MRI

    3Schedule surgery

4get into top condition by exercising and eating right get your core muscles tight and stay in shape Im not recommending weights but most reputable gyms have exercise classes

5 watch your posture stretch every day

Good luck do it for your self

  • haha a bit of both... disc herniation often occurs because of poor posture (+ repetitive straining to the intervertebral disc) or trauma (e.g. fall) which causes the herniated disc to rupture and push against the spinal nerve causing pain

  • ouch >_o

  • wowziz. ouchy must have been.

  • o_O

  • hapend to my grandma :/ she's fine now but dang it must have HURT!
