I've just purchased the pets version of this model for the princely sum of £38. Brand new, not graded. Hope you'll be reviewing the Vax Turboforce Zero soon. It looks quite good for the money but gets mixed reviews.
@ibaisaic I'll certainly review the Turboforce Zero when it gets here. I've seen the mixed reviews too, but aside from the weight, I think 90% of the problems sound like a case of user error or careless treatment. I've never put much faith in Amazon reviews... I'd prefer to make up my own mind!
Just read your review, excellent review, but aren't Vax and Hoover made by the same company, and if so, why would the Hoover's only get a 1 year warranty while the Vax's get the six year warranty?
@FeeLtheHertZ Nope. Vax are owned by TTI, who own Hoover in America. However, Hoover in UK are owned by an Italian company called Candy. Although both Hoover US and Hoover Europe share the rights to the Hoover name and logo, their products have nothing to do with each other, and Vax has no connection to Hoover Europe.
@FeeLtheHertZ Hoover, as a single company, was formerly owned by Maytag, but the 1992 UK Free Flights Scandal meant that Hoover's European division was sold off to Candy to help cover the £50mil losses. In 2007, Hoover US was acquired by Hong Kong-based TTI.
