  • Hello.....My name is Eddie and I started a new vlog. I did jiu-jitsu

for about 2 years and then I had to stop for about a year and a half.

Now I'm getting back into it and I have a great team behind

me....Alliance Orlando!!! Our Instructor is Michael Langhi and if you

dont know he is a multiple time world champ and a super nice guy.

Come join me as I train and try to get better:) So please check out

my videos and if you like them...SUBSCRIBE! Thanks....I appreciate it :)

  • dang... boring how the other guy on the bottom just stalls and stalls and stall...

  • Alguém já conseguiu passar a guarda do Michel Langhi?

  • retarded commentators ... they dont know what jiujitsu is ..... they dont know who michael langhi is - the guy with the best guard in the world - , and they cant count points :

michael langhi won because he got an advantage for making marcello garcia get off balance ....

  • the commentators have no clue about what they are talking about , maybe the slightest ....

  • Marcelo from USA?

    no way!

    Langhi and Garcia are Brazilians!

  • i dont know, really didnt see a win for ML,

  • What did Langhi do to win? I did not see any points or advantage.

  • @ArizonaMMJ Langhi was in atttack mode the second half of the fight. First half was even. No one really did anything. But Marcelo didn't come close to passing or forcing turtle at any point. Langhi's omoplata attempts and near sweeps from 3:30 onward really dictated the match. Marcelo is pretty much trying to keep his elbow on the outside of that spider/delariva transition so he doesn't get his arm pulled in the whole time. Definite win for Langhi.

  • @ArizonaMMJ he got an advantage for getting garcia off balance ..

  • I'm sure someone has asked, but is there a US channel where you can watch live bjj matches?

  • Great fight, anyone know why Marcelo is fighting at -75kg in the gi here though, when he fights at -82 in the gi at teh mundials? If he can make 75 here, he could make 76 at the mundials, surely...

  • Did he win on advantage? He tried to sweep but didn't come up to secure it.

  • I say they played paper rock scissor to see who would get the title> As awesome as Langhi is I really doubt that he could stop Marcelo from passing once in 10 minutes ....

  • awesome open guard

  • That was a truly boring match to watch.

  • 2 best Jiu-Jitsu guys in the world showing the highest level Jiu-Jitsu. However, this is strictly SPORT BJJ. In a real fight situation, you can't fight exposing your groin like Langhi does unless you're wearing an iron underware.

  • whats your point. There is not a single combat sport that replicates a street fight. Boxing allows you to turn sideways exposing your back and there are no kicks or ground work, kickboxing neglects ground work, mma neglects eye gouging, groin shots, hair pulling etc, and bjj neglects striking and slamming. That being said the top guys from any of these sports could easily handle themselves in a fight better than 99.9% of people out there anyways

  • According to Rorion Gracie and his dad, GJJ is the most complete fighting system in the world and there's no need to learn other styles. They proved it when Royce won the first 3 of 4 UFCs. Now I'm sure Langhi beats Royce in a bjj match, but I don't think he can win UFC like Royce did because his Jiu-Jitsu is geared towards bjj competition, not self defense or MMA. People say BJJ has evolved a lot since pre UFC era, but it also has lost its effectiveness in self defense.

  • Rorion/Helio's emphasis is always on "Full Guard", not speder guard or half guard that are frequently used in today's bjj competitions. Full guard is necessary when you're on your back because otherwise you're exposing your groin. In MMA, everybody plays open guard these days but that's because groin attack is not allowed by rules. In a real situation, it's a suicide move.

  • wow ... well put.

  • @getinmyguard um millitary combat?

  • @rainriders

In a real fight situation your opponent won't defend BJJ sweeps as well as Marcelo Garcia. I think it's a moot point.

  • crazy ass guard

  • Respect to everyone on this site. I know I am going to get killed for saying this, but can't we leave aside the personal attacks and calling each other dumb fucks and what not. This is BJJ, the most beautiful sport in the world, and we all love it and feel passionately about it but don't have to knock each other down to make our points but can learn from each other's analysis/opinions.

  • @bertinotti Word!

  • how old is garcia. he looks young...!

  • Agreed definate advantage for nearly sweep. Awesome guard I dont have the balls to use to let someone get double underhooks with there arms especialy with Macelo.

  • Lying there? Aggressive? Marcelo got totally trapped in Michael spider guard...

He defend well, and don't get sweep.. But Michael control the whole fight and deserve the win...

  • He flopped his guard how is he possibly controlling the fight?

flopping guard is fine but if you think you should win for laying down the whole time youre nuts.

BTW the two "almost" sweeps langhi didn't even try to come up.

  • That's because they are from the same team. They weren't fighting for real, dumbass.

  • What does that have to do with anything you retard. The players have no control how the ref gives points..

If you knew anything about this sport you wouldn't be such a dumb fuck.

  • you'd think they'd have the first pro world cup for bjj in brazil

  • he's not just lying there, his legs are well controlled, they do take points for stalling

  • The score seemed to be 0-0 with 2 advantages to Langhi for near sweeps.

People should learn BJJ rules before commenting.

  • i think for something like the olympics, you would have to take points for lying there....at least marcelo was being aggresive....i didnt even see his point. I think no-gi would do well in the O games. or make a grappling comp, with rules so that judo, and wrestlers could compete as well

  • Marcelo Garcia could not pass that's something different. It's a very technical match. Too often people have the expectation that grappling is a fast paced sport. It is at time, but there is a lot of tie up. If you don't like Ju Jitsu don't watch it. Stop bitching about it.

  • That's the problem with JJ tourneys, people score points and just hold on...fuckin weak

  • i like to call that "the dry hump". that why competition is bullshit.

  • This is why BJJ will never be an Olympic sport.

For the most part all Olympic sports has a clear winner.. ie Fastest, highest, longest, or knockout, and I'm not talking about those "trial" sports.

Change the rules and make guys like Langhi do something..

  • Fuck that he didn't do shit and won..

  • he swept him at 4:35. only points of the match. pretty clear victory.

  • Swept at 4:35? He only took the sweep half way, he never took top, he stayed seated. Rules state you must initiate the movement, follow the reversal to a top position, and control your opponent for three seconds. Sooo, if that was a "sweep", and all Marcelo had to do was stand up to re take the top position... Then why wasn't Marcelo awarded the same points for his "sweep"?

  • agree....garcia should have won for aggression

  • well I agree, but thats not rules.. in the case.

  • I'm not sure if it was a sweep... Are you sure Langhi took scored points for this?!

  • Porra, como chama essa guarda que o Langhi fez?

  • "Guarda de Inferno"

  • "Guarda de Inferno"

  • Wtf?

Good job for langhi and all. He hung in with marcelo and that it itself is deity like.

    But winning the match?

I don't really agree with that.

  • Que guarda desgraçada!!!

  • that match was shit. langhi just chillin the entire time and marcelo not putting on the pressure that i've known and expected from him.

  • Guarda sinistra...

  • lack of intent in that match, obvious work. Team mates said they split the money and didnt want the match in the first place

  • advantage for the almost sweep? i thought it looked like garcia baited him the sweep so he could try and leg lock him.

  • thanks emirates jiu jitsu for the post! i hope this organization becomes the center for jiu jitsu, finally someone who wants the sport to grow.

  • won by refs decision, although i dont know why he didnt get an advantage for the near sweep

  • eh marmelada

  • advantage for the almost completed sweep?

  • Hey emiratesJiu-Jitsu thanks for upload all this fights..

do u have LANGHI X CLAUDIO CALAZANS ?

if yes...... can u post this one for us ....thanks a lot man !!

  • Unfortunately, I don't. I have some fights left that I could upload in the coming days but that's not one of them.

Abu Dhabi Sports TV only aired the Finals of each weight class, except the Alexandre de Souza vs. Gabriel Vella fight due to time constraints.

  • @astrosbr have these two fought no gi

  • Tudo bem que foi um treino entre os dois. Mas a guarda do Langhi, se não for a melhor, está entre as melhores do mundo. É impressionante a flexibilidade. Ele e o Rafael Mendes seria um ótimo duelo.

  • i think he won by advantage.

  • ref decision

  • did langhi win by advantage? or by two advantages? or referees decision
