  • You should have caught it....WITH A POKEBALL!

  • why do animals think there other species beside their own?

  • Hilarious and cute!

  • Actually this is called a blue tongued skink. :) My brother had one as a pet when he was younger. I loved that thing. :( He was so awesome.

And they are meant to look fat when they are close to the ground, they kind of flat out to appear bigger. xP

  • The video preview made it look like a snake!!! Are lizards quite dangerous at all? Will they attack?! This one is quite fat, like it is pregnant?

  • @vintagerosenz These lizards will bite if handled but they can't do any damage. They aren't venomous either, only a few species are. The komodo dragon is the only lizard that's really a threat in the wild. The others won't hurt you unless you do something stupid.

  • @dragonfan1981 Maybe not dangerous, but as for venom...

It's been proven that all monitors have some degree of venom, as well as the bearded dragon, however, it has little to no effect on humans. Of course, you're right about the skink. The bites hurt more than one would expect though, IMO.

  • @dragonfan1981 Research in the last five years has proven that Varanids, along with the Hemodermatid (Beaded lizards, Gila Monster), being the closest lizard reptiles to the suborder Serpentia, do possess venomous toxins. Hemodermatids have more evolved teeth and mandibular glands, while varanids and other close species have less specialized mandibular and maxillary glands. Its just that many are't strong enough for the toxins to be dangerous to us, but they are there.

  • @vintagerosenz hahaha wtf...you know nothing about reptiles. Lizards either are, or they aren't dangerous. Depends on way too many things for me to list here. Will they attack? If you are an idiot with handling them and depending on their mood, sure why not? This one is "fat" because all skinks have large rounded middle sections if they're healthy...seriously, that's like asking why a fish has scales...

    sheesh

  • @jewelbenn I NEVER CLAIMED TO KNOW ANYTHING

  • ewwww creeps me out idk why lol, it is like a weasle from far away. haha but funny video

  • That's so cute! We have a blue tounged skink who loves her wet cat food..it's all she eats..this guy has a healthier diet...he's so lucky to go to your house for lunch. He's very calm.. do you live in a warm climate?

  • That's cute but probably isn't a good idea to let him eat cat food. You can have them as pets but you need a licence and need to make sure you take care of them properly, as a lot of people don't. And you can;t feed them just fruit lol

  • you should get it as a pet since they eat anything that you give them but mostly fruit

  • Anyone know how these go as pets? wouldnt mind one

  • Comment removed

  • @22combe22 As far as I know, they are supposed to make fantastic pets...They are considered one of the best beginner lizards too! :D

  • lol`

  • I love this!!! They are such clever and resourceful little guys. Thank you for uploading, and for being kind to the skink. :)

  • I hope mine does that when shes older

  • omg thats hilarious :)

  • Hahaah! Very cool! I wish the lizards around my place were that big so my cat wouldn't eat them.

  • I think that's really cool that you didn't try killing or hurting it there's not a lot of people that would let a lizard come into there house and grab a quick bite haha especially a blue tongued skink.

  • @Oliver0Sykes it's a pet lizard, you can go out and buy a pet blue tongue lizard.

  • @HSVforme2010 It's not a pet, it's wild...

  • @DawgMagnet

No its a pet. You can tell because it is an Irian Jaya Blue tongue skink. :D

For more info goto bluetongueskinks . net

  • @xxmonitorlizardxx

it's a wild Eastern mate, look at the name of the video.

    Also, the description:

'I was wondering why the cat was always hungry, this cheeky lizard has been sneaking inside and eating the cat food, then exits leaving the cat door even though the door is slightly open.'

  • you should maybe leave some outside for it they make good for keeping down the snail infestations

  • LOL sneaky sneaky.

  • aww thats so cute.
