@delta5297 Colds cats often occur because your carrier isn't at top speed and steaming into the wind. Have her run flank into the wind and you should have no problem launching and recovering aircraft.
just bought the new updated xp version on ebay for 10 bux! hope it runs smooth with my lame ass xp computer. seems I have way more requirements than I need but my luck I will have some kind of problem just cause I wanna play it so bad! haha

I've done one where I had a US CVBG go against a Russian fleet centered around Kuznetsov, two Kievs, and Kirov with escorts. I defeated the Russian fleet, but not without some heavy losses. An Oscar II damn near ruined my day. In the end my submarines were the game changers as I got htem close enough that they could ADCAP the enemy.
@IDF1987 I have a couple samples of my battles with the updated CdG CSG on my channel. The Russians are pretty tough to beat until you reset the accuracy and channels of fire for their SAMs. I have spent hours of research putting in real data to fix it. I tried taking on a US CSG for fun and it is far easier when you take the upgraded Nimitz without F-14s and their damned AIM-54s.
@stalkingalizee Nimitzs are had to kill with F-14s because the F-14 was built for fleet defense. It isn't a good fighter for taking out an opposing air force, but it's great at defending the flat tops from incoming attacks. That is what her job is.
@IDF1987 Yeah, she's not an air superiority fighter. The Tomcat's goal is to shoot down incoming threats, and not tangle with other fighters, though it's no slouch in a dogfight.
Lack of decent AEW and having the Aegis Cruiser at the back makes this mission hard. Scramble more AEW Helixes as soon as the mission starts, and once their missiles start flying, just turn on all radars and let the SM2s on the Aegis rip. Use the Spruance to attack their ships, it has a lot of SSMs... Wow this brings back memories...
@ShitMovies2000 In Dangerous Waters, when you want to take off helo from FFG and play with realistic start up time, you have to wait 60 mins :) but only for first time.
I find it easier to use the military symbols, the small Icons are confusing. This game was so hard on CPU use that even today it can cause a PC with a P4 CPU to freeze and kick back to the desktop.
BTW, I find this mission to be almost impossible to accomplish. Those Shipwreck missiles are pain in ass, one hits a destroyer and it's gone for good.
It really is too bad JAnes quit making these games. I mean we got Dangerous Waters but we only get to command an Oliver hazzard perry in that game and id like to go back to the fleet command style...imagine what the graphic could be like now

u need to load NWP on it. It makes the Russians far more survivable when all their missiles work
