  • @MegaZsolti quit bein a twidget, u know hw meant 1954,, enjoy the truck an quit pickin at chicken scratches

  • @buckwill48 erm, you replied to an over 1 year old comment lol

  • uh um !954?

  • Yes, it was built in 1954. Only four Krupp Büffel are still driveable, three in Germany and one in Spain.

  • lol not too big top speed, but your truck is very very nice. =)

    lol i need one

  • Ja, so habe ich die alten bewährten Krupp Lkws in Erinnerung, wenn die sich in den 60er Jahren durch die Bernkasteler Altstadt in Richtung Longkamp die Steigung hinauf gekämpft haben... "rang, raang, raaang"

    Johann

  • Krupp - the only truck that can say it's name.

  • 289 equals 4 and seven tenths,litres, so 263 cid equals around 4 and a half litres

  • 3 outlet valves, was she a 6 or a 3

  • The engine is a 4.3ltr three cylinder diesel with 110 hp. The construction is very near to the detroit diesel or the early Minsei Nissan diesels

  • Hi, Kruppfan.

That works out to 263 cubic inches; somewhat close to the 318 cubic inches, or 5.2 liters of the Detroit 6V-53, which was 205 HP non-turboed, 225 HP with turbo. As was mentioned before, the Detroit 6V-53 sounds EXACTLY like the Krupp engine.

  • 3 zyl

  • @dieselislife

    lol awesome xD

  • what diesels are still two stroke detriot ,the series 60?

  • As far as trucks go, 2-cycle diesels violate the 1993 EPA emmissions standards, and today's are even more stringent. So 2-cycle diesel production is almost gone today.

  • no, the series 60 is four popper

  • That engine sounds EXACTLY like a Detroit Diesel 6V-53. In fact if I closed my eyes, I could picture this as riding in the old Seagrave K-cab pump we had when I was a volunteer fireman.

  • it is a detriot

  • Hi diesellover,

Krupp trucks had engines made by Krupp in Essen, Germany. The engines were two stroke diesel with 3

outlet valves per cylinder. The last Krupp trucks

    had cummins license engines.

  • Excellent!.
