They made them older because.. Can you imagine 12 year-olds in gladiator training..? It's appear to cutesey.. That what Christopher Columbus said in a press con. but Edmund in the Chronicles of Narnia was like.. 12 and he in battle armor in a war for Narnia.. But I sill loved the movie even if they were older. I couldn't imagine capture the flag with 12-year old actors. I can imagine well with the book, 'cause in my head when reading the character are animated.. :DD

i know the book will get off from the book but hopefully it wont be the next inkheart the only problem i have with the movie is that the actors are way to old the person playin anabeth who's supposed to be 12 in the first book is actually 23 i dont think thats right sure maybe a 14 year old girl could play that role but 23 is to old and it looks like they're bringing some parts of the 2nd book into it
