This pedal is amazing, I've had one for a couple of years now, it's just got some of the best reverb sounds in here. The reverse is just the best reverse there is. Lexicon knew what they were doing haha.
great demo and playing as always, maybe you can help me out I am torn between this reverb and the tonebug reverb since you have played both which one do you think is better case they are both the same price.
I just bought one of these but I was wondering if it can be used to get the Edge "shimmer" sound like the Strymon Blue Sky Reverberator can and if so,what other effects,aside from a delay, would be needed?
Thank you for the great video. I'm testing a Plush (Fuchs) Good Verbrations. It sounds way superior to the Boss RV-5, RV-3, Boost RVB (I tried them all out yesterday). Unfortunately, the Plush is not stereo.. If the Hardwire RV-7 is at par with the Plush, I will take the RV-7 (it sounds great on your video, and the Plush is also digital). I'm using reverbs for post-rock/ambient stuff.
how do you think this compares to the line 6 verbzilla? I am not sure which one out of these two is better. I heard the line 6 can be noisy, but offers longer decay settings.
@Burgerman666 Well, I got it for my birthday anyway and found the answer! This thing has "boing" for days on the spring setting, sounds just like the old Fender!
A buffer is switched in with the tails function. That's how I use it. Sounds heaps better. All the sparkle is put back. RV-7, last pedal in the chain, buffer and tails on - all good.
The Tonebug is nice but it's no match for this. This has far more 'dimension', or 'in your face'. It also has two modes and two very effective tone controls. You'd need to compare it to the Gristle King - then there would be a competition.
True-bypass isn't always good. Buffers aren't always bad. But used in the right way. When everything is true-bypass you get tone suck, when everything is buffers you get tone-suck + latency. That is if you have a large pedalboard.
Demos like these are why I'm finding myself drawn to a nice clean tone more and more every day. I still love a nice power chord distortion track but stuff like this is very pleasant and easy on the ears. Would love to hear some more surf licks w/the spring setting.
Very nice demo. Thanx, man!

any volume drop in these?

@shckltnebay None that I've noticed, but I don't use it too much. I usually use the WET pedal because it's a one-stop shop.

Hi, would you prefer this RV7 or the Tech 21 RVB ? I need a reverb pedal for my synthesizer actually. Thanks!

Would you say the Spring setting comes close to modeling the actual Fender '63 reverb tank?
spawnofwheezedog 1 year ago
@spawnofwheezedog I'm sorry to say I've never tried the Fender '63 so I can't comment. :(

@menamestom You can't mention PGS and beercandud in the same sentence. That's just blasphemy! Andy is in a league of his own.
