very cute puppies, i agree with the comments about the AKC, and also just wanted to check with one comment about "Alaskan Husky" this is simply a mixture of alaskan malamute and siberian husky... its basically a cross breed lol.. - still very cute tho

O liked when you put the black/whote one back in the cage - the others gathered around asn asked - "So how was it?" "OK nothing happened - but man, i do like that petting!!!" You can tell she is a female and the two white ones are male - they try to dominate her by putting their head on her back!!

Alaskan Huskies are a breed that was bred from many arctic breeds. They take the best of many breeds to create the "ultimate" sled-dog. Almost all the teams in competitive dog-sled races are comprised of Alaskan Huskies.

In order to be recognized as an official breed by the AKC, the various lines must be recorded and organized by the various breeders. Because these dogs are mainly working dogs right now, the breeders do not care about them becoming recognized. They care about creating the best sled-dog possible. Puppies that fail the harness test and retired adults become pets.

Siberians are a pure breed - Malamutes are a pure breed - Alaskans are NOT a pure breed - but usually a mixture of Husky/Malamute and some other northern working dog. This is why the AKC does not recognize Alaskan Huskies as a breed of dog.

Actually, Dr. Phill is a human behavior specialist. My statement above is from the AKC website - but they can change this statement anytime they want. Not sure what that has to do with human behavior!! But I do wish I had Dr. Phill's bank account!!!!!

I like how you are all about AKC when AKC has ruined dog breeds over the year. AKC only cares about what a dog looks like not what they can do in a working situation. There are plenty of puppy mill dogs with AKC papers. AKC is the reason the Border Collie had to have a breed Rescue. American Kennel Club is a joke they don't check kennels and dogs personally so they really have no idea who is breeding what.

Actually - you can register a mutt with the AKC - as long as you also send the money!!!

also papers can be forged. Papers mean nothing when you buy a dog and in fact Sled dogs are bred better because the dog is bred based on performance not looks. get your facts straight

I love how people don't know the dffernce between siberians and Malamutes compaired to the Alaskan husky which could have those two breeds in them but still be a separate breed. I myself have a siberian but her pups were mixed thus they are Alaskan Husky. Great looking pups

Not according to the AKC and all other dog breeding groups. In order to be a breed - you GENERALLY need at least 10 generatons of same breed breeding - Alaskans USUALLY are a mixture of several breeds of northern working class dogs.
