What makes this sci-fi movie really scary was the absence of cgi aliens, yeah, sure people wore the alien suits but they felt REAL, you FELT their physical presence. None of today's overabused mocap mierda.

Can you imagine the power loader vs the massive alien queen fight if it was cgi? Hell no! Mummy 2's scorpion king battle, Van Helsing action sequences anyone? Damn...

@krusnicsoulreaper actually starship troopers was written back in the 1950s, it technically started it all. Orbital drops, "orbital bombardment," even the "Bugs" reminded me of xenomorphs, but with slicing energy weapons and starships. It's an unofficial reccomendation for every Marine to read that book. (yes totally more badass and scary than Verhovan's 1996 movie.) both Robert Heinlein and James Cameron were prophets of sci-fi and ahead of their times.

Was absolutely gutted when Drake bought it in Aliens, he was by FAR the most kick ass marine. Think he should have gotten a bit more screen time instead of being weakly killed off with an acid spray. The teamwork aspect between Vasquez and Drake was one of the most watchable and interesting concepts.

@paulman34340 I liked Alien 3 & resurection. I actually like Alien 3 the best out of them all. It has a great mood & atmosphere. I like how all the movies are all unique. It would suck to have all the Alien movies be the same.____Alien Resurecttion opened the door to a possible Alien 5 starring Ripley. At the end of resurection, Ripley landed on the war torn Earth. A great storyline can be written from that. & thats what Cameron plans to do.

@OrionHeights167 spinn offs and side stories are great if done right, Me I believe that Ripley and thus the main Alien story should have ended in a Trilogy, The reason I hated resurection is that I actually though a sequel would have come out sooner, I dispise and refuse to acknowledge AVP as part of the Alien storyline, Ripley's death at the end of 4 was the best in the entire series the fact she would die taking the last of the Xeno's with her was the best part of the series if 5 is great , ok

@paulman34340 I totally agree with you about AVP. It had the chance to be part of the storyline, BUT it failed miserably. That's why everyone hates it. Theirs just so much wrong with AVP, that no one accepts it. I wish they would have made it purely about Aliens fighting predators on some alien world, instead of trying to make it look like a prequal to the Alien movies. They should have never had Weyland Yutani or Earth involved with the AVP movie.

@paulman34340 I'm buying this day on day one. Dead Space is an excellent game. Aliens CM looks like it's going to be just as scary. Kinda like playing dead space in first person mode with 4 player co-op! Their was a Aliens 3rd person RPG planned, called alien Crucible. But it got cancelled. EA should buy the rights to it, because they know how to make a great RPG game.

@OrionHeights167 If you talking about Mass Effect and Dragon Age hell no That's Bioware ( I've been a Bioware fan and buyer since their first RPG series the Baldur's Gate Trilogy still have those three games too), EA only produced the game meaning they payed to have it made, SquareEnix makes great RPG's but you can't give them full major credit for the awesome Deus Ex: Human Revolution (Which I'm playing on my PS3 right now xD). Never knew about Alien Crucible, well the more you know I guess.
