  • 1984...thisbeautifulFrida's song sounded on the radio. So delighted to ear it again, and Frida is extremely beautiful, that smile, those smiling eyes and that voice....So beautiful memories on my mind! Greetings from Argentina.

Jag älskar dig sa mycket, FRIDA! Hälsningar fran Argentina!

  • Brilliant- Frida's a mezzo soprano by the way :))))

  • Sure Mike Oldfield isn't playing guitars? :-P

  • @saveriope Sorry, no Mike Oldfield here!

  • And the idiots still say she can't sing. her voice is unique and beautiful.

  • one of my fav frida solo...

  • OMG her voice is so sweet and clear.. !

  • My fave song on her great 1st Eng-language album, closely followed by the single 'To Turn The Stone'. Should have been released. Considering Per Gessel composes a fair amount of derivative fluff for Roxette and recycles plenty of ideas-including his own, I'm amazed he co-wrote something this original-I guess it was the Dorothy Parker influence, but great idea for him to set it to beautiful music. This conjures up a beautiful fairy land. Delightful. Frid's 2nd 80s album 'Shine' is great aswell.

  • I love this song, it's so magical sounding =)

  • This was my favourite number in this album. The harmonies in the choruses sounded a bit ABBA, I can "almost" listen Agnetha´s voice... really a great song.

  • Thanks...very fantastic, i like it.

  • Thank you for uploading! By the way, in the poem should read "Eyes that WATCH the morning star" and "That A heart falls tinkling down". Loved the video (love the song). Best regards from Mexico =)

  • This was my favorite song from "Something Going On". She and Agnetha had the voices of angel, still did last I heard them, too.

  • Such a beautiful song... I <3 Frida :)

  • Her voice is so beautiful. She really has the best songs outside of ABBA. Frida Rulez! :))

  • btw Benny with an aureola 2:25 lol..

  • The backing vocals really sound like Agnetha and Frida together..I can imagine this as an ABBA song..beautiful stuff!

  • Love this song and album! :)

  • Nov 15...happy birthday to Frida................

  • This was a fantastic solo album by Anni-Frid which didn't get the recognition it so deserved. There are some powerful excellent songs on the album that given better air play and media coverage would have been monstrous hits. Thanks for posting :-)

  • the album 'Something Going On" did very well on the U.S.charts and the single peaked at #13.

  • This song is so beautiful. When I bought the single "I Know There´s Something Going On" on a flea market and put it on my record player two or three years ago, I was so moved by it. Could have been an A-side by its own right.

Some people say that Frida didn´t record stuff with full heart after ABBA. Let them hear this composition!

  • 1:57 Frida looks preggers or bloated. he-he. Frida was Benny's loss

now he can kiss her royal ass. lol

she and her daughter look beautiful at 3:58 :( and the song is very beautiful I have to get it. :) great job. :)

  • This video is a terrific creation Jim, thanks for sharing. Great song.

  • canto fúnebre, asi se llama esta estupenda cancion de Frida,de 1982,cuando una vez separada del prupo,Abba, inicio su carrera en solitario.

  • Another great video, Jim. I think I do the same double-take every time I see Benny clean-shaven, like at 0:44 — Tom

  • wow amazing song i love so much Anni Frid thanks for posting this wonderful song!

    Best regards from France!

  • It is heart breaking to see these pics and hear this song... no idea what happened between them.

  • I love this song so much thanks so much for posting :o)

  • Great song and a beautiful poem - thanks for uploading!

Just a small correction: Dorothy Parker was not and could not have been a member of the pop group Roxette, as some of you write - she died in 1967!

  • Thanks, that was definitly a typo on my part.

As many videos as I have posted, I'm glad there are people out there to point these things out to me, or I'd never know. Again, thank you.

    Peace, Jim~

  • the b-side of "i know there's something goin'on". beautiful frida's ballad!!!

  • mmmmmm...oh ai ai ohhhh. beautiful

  • Thank you. This is a favorite of mine by Frida. It's written by Per Gessle and Dorothy Parker Of The Group "Roxette". It's also a poem that was written by Dorothy Parker. Thanks for looking in.

    Peace, Jim~

  • favorite of mine. actually-

    favorite song

    favorite woman =)

    her voice is amazing.

  • i agree with you.

  • This is a very nice song that soon grows on you Jim. There's a haunting feeling about it, with Frida's lower pitched voice. It seems to be about a broken heart, there's plenty of nice pics here to show how close Frida and Benny were. Amazing how the 2 relationships followed such similar paths!

  • I like how you are going through this album Jim! ;)

    Thanks a lot! Beautiful!

  • I had to spend some quality time with Frida Laura. There are so many good songs on SGO, that I just had to do a few. Aggy will be back though, I guarrentee it! Thank you.

  • Braaaaaaa :-D

  • Can you spell that Sandy?

  • Lots of great pics Jim, nice one at of F&B at 3.53, nice tune too, you are really getting into this album

All hail St. benny at 2.25

  • This is really turning out to be a great album Shay but I gotta tell ya, Aggy's really bugging me about returning so this will be it for Frida for at least a little while. There are to many good tunes on SGO to leave it be for very long though! Thanks Shay.

  • beautiful vid Jim. love the opening pic.

is that a halo above Benny at 2.25?? :)

  • Thank you Elin. SGO is a great album and there's a few more I want to do. But I need to give Aggy a little lovin for a while.

It sure is Elin, your the only one I know with horns(little devil girl)!

  • blah blah blah... that you're not supposed to tell anyone! :P

  • You spelled blah wrong..............made you look!

  • you don't know how we spell it in Sweden do ya? :P

  • No, but I'm sure your gonna tell me in a few minutes aren't ya?

  • no :) you've gotta figure out something for yourself.

  • Wow, those horns get bigger by the minute!

  • yeah you better watch it Jim :P

no I'll be nice today, Aggy's birthday and all... :)

  • Very nice video Jim! Frida is getting her due here lately. She was a huge part of ABBA's success, and they wouldn't have been what they were without her. She did the great haromony parts with AGGY that made the sound so spectacular. I think Frida was actually better in live shows than AGGY, to a point. Frida never had any pitch problems on stage, where AGGY could hit a rough note here and there. But in the studeo, AGGY was unbelievable! Together they were the best ever in pop music!

  • Thanks Dallas. They both made beautiful music together(All 4 did in fact). Aggy's ready to come back though. I felt I was becoming a little stale in her vids, and nothing helps more than taking a step back, taking a deap breath, and forging ahead!

  • Beautiful song,I like your slideshows. How comes that you're doing so much Frida videos? ;)

  • Well Jackie, Frida was as big a part of ABBA as the other three were, and I felt Aggy needed to have a well deserved rest! There's nothing more important to me than making sure that I make good video's. I felt I wasn't doing my best, so Frida's kind of new material to me, and there's nothing like something fresh. Aggy will definitly be back though! Thank you.

  • Woops I mean very nice Jim, thanks for posting :-D

  • I thought you were trying to send me a secret message...Oh well maybe next time! Thank you sweetie.

  • Haha okay :-D
