Why is everyone being such a bitch about this girl's performance? Granted, the gesticulations are a bit "irksome," but when it comes down to it, if she ever goes to theatre for a living, things like that can be fixed easily. I guarantee you that Broadway and West End directors and producers do not give a damn about your acting skills as long as you can sing. Acting can be taught. Singing, contrary to opinions, is a talent that can be tempered and honed, but not taught. She has a good voice.

Where did you get this? As long as copyright titles are disclosed and there is no overt statement of claim to any of the music, people can do as they please. Christ, if troupes stopped performing musicals that were still on Broadway, the world would be an empty place devoid of the arts. Besides, "Wicked" has fallen into public domain now. People are getting very rich when non-Broadway performers pull off a production. Gotta love American tort law.

you werent cast in the musical because the rights havent been released.

if your taking songs from the show and creating a medley, thats possible. but this musical is still on broadway, therefore you cannot be doing it. you have a great voice, but your going to kill yourself by straining it with these songs. wicked is made for vocally trained, mature voices, whereas although you have an amazing voice it isnt strong enough. but, you did a great job :D

Not her acting per say she has the emotions and basic thought down but sometimes not moving or expressing your emotion through body is more powerful then actually doing. yes i've seen wicked. plus i'm a professional actor so i kinda know what i'm talking about. just mannerisms are a little childish.

No, her acting is perfect. Those hand movements is how Elphaba is played every single time, so standing still or something small would not work in this case. Btw, in broadway you are supposed to over-exaggerate so it LOOKS normal to the people in the audience.
