I f'ing love Bon Scott era AC/DC. This was the band that rocked me through the hell of disco poisoning when I was in high school 1975 - 1979. Punk wasn't my scene although I respected them. So for us rockers, there were few bands that carried the torch like Bon Scott and AC/DC - burning a hole through disco's pathetic ass to see it DIE. Props to Brian J for helping these bad boys from Back in Black through to now. LET THERE BE ROCK!

Me and my friend (who are both teen girls, by the way) spent New Year's eve this year throwing pictures of Justin Bieber into a fire (no joke, my dad thought it would be funny to stick some in my stocking. Real hilarious, dad). It made me think of Shot Down in Flames. I smiled a lot that day.

@johncarter44 Ibought the home video tape of this concert in 1985 and wore the damn thing out. I don't think it's in good enough shape to even watch now. It needs to be released on dvd with extras etc. This is my favorite Bon concert video. When it finally is released for sale, I will be the first in line to buy it.

They did it's actually in a box set called bonfire. It also comes with back n black, volts cd, and a live cd (not donnington) along with let there be rock the movie.
Greatest hard rock band ever. The engine room/rythym section is like no other. The music still sounds great, even after so much time has passed. They sold out 3 stadiums in Sydney this year 2010. They gave it their all, someone recalls that Angus's fingers were bleeding. Bon Scott didn't hand pick his successor, fans wrote the band and suggested that they check out the lead singer of a band called Geordie, which was Brian Johnson.
@RIFF4361 Bon did not hand pick him, so to speak, although fans didnt write to the band and didnt tell them to check out brian. Bon had met Brian before, where Bon accidently ran into him while he was performing. Brian was writhing around on stage and Bon later found out it wasnt meant to be like that, Brian had some form of vocal cords injury. This is the only time Bon and Brian met.
It is coincidental that they picked Brian, but they later found out Bon and Brian mad met before.

They did it's actually in a box set called bonfire. It also comes with back n black, volts cd, and a live cd (not donnington) along with let there be rock the movie.

Greatest hard rock band ever. The engine room/rythym section is like no other. The music still sounds great, even after so much time has passed. They sold out 3 stadiums in Sydney this year 2010. They gave it their all, someone recalls that Angus's fingers were bleeding. At the end of the day people respect them for being straight to the point and raw, no bullshit effects, electronics, just good old rock n roll. Cheers, Zeljko from Sydney.

@NinjaJedi11 ,try the concert at the university of essex in 78,the perfomances of Sin City,Problem Child and Let There Be Rock are the greatest ever,the glasgow apollo in 78 for Riff Raff,Bad Boy Boogie and Hell Aint A Bad Place To Be,arnhem in 79 for Highway To Hell,and paris(this concert)for Shot Down In Flames,Live Wire and Whole Lotta Rosie,in my most humble opinion these are the greatest live performances of these particular tunes,see what you think,rock on AC/DC,WE SALUTE YOU!!!!!!!!!!!#1.

A great song live- doesnt matter who sings it, I'm fed up with this who's better than who rubbish- the fact is after nearly 40 years the lads are still going is amazing.
Bon- having seen Brian perform- and having been suitably impressed- will be laughing at just how massive AC/DC are! Don't you think this stuff is slightly more important than Lady Ga Ga or Jay Z or whoever else? Will they be around in 40 years? I doubt...........

THE greatest frontman of ANY rock band.....better than Jagger, Plant.....more punk than Joey Ramone. I love all these bands(Stones, Zep, Ramones) but Bon Scott had something that they dodn't have....he sang from the heart and like his life depended on it!

Bon Scott didn't hand pick his successor, fans wrote the band and suggested that they check out the lead singer of a band called Geordie, which was Brian Johnson.

@RIFF4361 Bon did not hand pick him, so to speak, although fans didnt write to the band and didnt tell them to check out brian. Bon had met Brian before, where Bon accidently ran into him while he was performing. Brian was writhing around on stage and Bon later found out it wasnt meant to be like that, Brian had some form of vocal cords injury. This is the only time Bon and Brian met.
It is coincidental that they picked Brian, but they later found out Bon and Brian mad met before.
