I believe it works as follows: You level up then gain classes, which unlock weapons. But that's as far as it goes. And I think you'll have them all unlocked at a fairly low level, but can't say for sure as I don't have the beta. To my knowledge there are no perks like CoD4 or anything.

Actually I looked it up. It seems each class has a nice little ability. Kinda in the vein of TF2. Personally I like this because it makes you mend as a team to actually win. But no, it doesn't have CoD4 perks.

actually as you level up the certain classes get special different abilities, there are several for each, and when you get to a certain levels you can mix and match weapons and abilities however you like!

You can miss buying the next COD MW2, but you definately can't miss buying this bad boy, 4 years in development, $50 budget, it's literally the ULTIMATE FPS game, #1 graphics on console, #1 sound (7.1 surround sound), #1 fps gameplay, one of the biggest community support (hundreds of stats are tracked, you got the official website to organize tournaments and such)

I was in the Killzone 2 beta, and this is just one of those games that can label you a "dumbass" if you don't buy it when you have a ps3, the Beta was awesome and is just miles ahead of COD 4, it's more hardcore, more strategic, more realistic, more breath-taking (visual wise), and the gameplay is very balanced with a HUGE community support behind it, and the innovations such as incorporating six-axis into sniping is very creative too
