I don't know why, but the French version(even the trailer) just looked/looks much better to me than this, but maybe it is because I have seen the French one plenty of times and cannot imagine another version... But overall I guess it is because the French version looks more natural to me than this one, just "hard" to have a good perspective on a remake of a film I thought was already good in the first place.
