Thanks freeadviceman! Your smug cavalier dismissive review and completely "ethically inappropriate & aesthetically kitsch" hawking of your own 9-11 remembrance at the expense of this one pissed me off so much that I have purchased three tickets to this opera & encouraged every single one of my family & friends to do the same. I would sooner gouge out my own eyeballs than view your "memorial tribute" you absolutely despicable remora.
Ethically inappropriate and aesthetically kitsch. This is not a subject for an Opera! "Streets of This Town" by Rob Halligan is ethically and aesthetically correct. So is my solo piano piece "After and Thereafter" ( see YouTube video "September 11 Memorial Tribute Solo Piano Pice" ).

And yes: I stated that as my own personal opinion. Not as a professional; just as an Independent person and Philosopher.

i worked in Two World Trade Center.
I find the story of Rick Rescorla so absolutely compelling.
And I wish the San Francisco Opera and all those who are of it the very best of luck with this production.
