And how could I overlook the indescribably beautiful village of Bourton-on-the-Water! It is just sublimely lovely. And also villages like Great Rissington and Little Rissington and nearby are the villages of Great Barrington and Little Barrington. Also the gorgeous Shipton-under-Wychwood. The placenames of rural England are a joy to behold.
The Cotswolds area of England is made even more beautiful by the characteristic stonework of all the buildings - "Cotwswold stone" - a pale golden colour and all new housing developments have to be constructed in this stonework. It is a very affluent area and the towns and villages in this lovely region are extremely attractive with lovely names - Stow on the Wold, Birdlip, Northleach, Winchcombe, Cirencester and many more.
@eliaviel I am sorry to shatter your illusion but crime does exist in England, and as for "poor" - that is all relative - there is "poor" in England but it can not in any way whatsoever be compared with the abject poverty of many countries of the so called Third World. Compared with those countries the "poor" of England would be considered extremely well off.
I adore driving through the Cotswolds - usually on the way to somewhere else, but I do go to Cheltenham specifically, which is supposed to be the capital of the Cotswolds. The whole area is indescribably beautiful, with the most glorious villages and small towns and the area is extremely affluent.
My friend has just returned from England and he says it is a paradise on Earth. Nothing to be compared of. Poeple are always friendly, forthcoming and really warm hearted. The weather is always mild with sunny beautiful days. The landscapes are unearthly not to be seen anywhere on the globe. There is no crime in England and almost no poors. The environmentalists say the air around is crisp and it is a country of pristine nature where national parks are abound. In fact, I cannot keep waiting .....
I live in the Cotswolds, just a few miles from Chipping Campden, in Moreton-In-Marsh. Chipping Campden is the quint essential english village and the most attractive Cotswold village, to anyone visiting the Cotswolds you must visit Campden it's stunning.
One of those beautiful English villages... that can be an incredible tedious place to grow up! Ageing population etc. No wonder Mr Duncan spends so much time in China, I grew up in the SouthWest of England and that's why I'm not teaching in Korea, and will probably teach in Hong Kong or Tokyo next year!
Thank for the comment. I agree that some nice shots inside these old buildings would be fun. There are lots of nice properties to visit that are open to the public. :-)
very nice video, no one has gone inside these old buildings with cam........id love to see the old farms done as a documentry n u-tube.......inside beatrix potters houses and gardens too.........love it
Most of those cars are driven by tourists. This area even attracts visitors from all over the world. Some people cannot get enough of our English countryside. I agree with your point about the many cars!

Beautiful video. All I can think of Ms. Jane marple, having tea and she's going to solve a murder. My Mom would have loved England.
