I do not seem to understand in what way does Bowser infict damage against Dark Bowser in the firery spiked ball minigame. This is after I successfully finished the minigame more than once. I simply try to hit Dark Bowser whenever I can and expect that it receives damage.

@yowvapaa if u hit dark bowser while he is staionary(falling or just stopping)  then he recieves damage but if he is um how do i say it, charging? and u u charghe too, u 2 will clash and niether side will recieve damage u need o hit him when he's falling and not attacking

What would have happened if the Mario Bros. were outside of Bowser's body when you tried to fight his evil twin? I mean, they're an important part of the final battle.

No, you misunderstood me. If the Mario Bros. use a warp pipe to get somewhere else in the mushroom kingdom, while Bowser was one room before Dark Bowser would he still be able to go into the final battle even without the plumbers? Obviously he shouldn't be able to win without them but I see nothing that stops this scenario from happening.

I don't think you can control Bowser with the Bros. outside his body. So, you really can't.

Its not possible. The Mario Bros have to be inside Bowser to control him, and only Bowser can get up to the final boss place.
