Fuel injection has nothing to do with sound quality or crank design for that matter.

Firing order determines a lot more of what a motor will sound like.

Thats why the Ford V8 5.0 sounds so good.

ok, but im not exactly sure what you mean by crossplane and flatplane.

im guessing that a crossplane in an older engine only has 4 crank pins (1 pin per 2 connecting rods)

and the flatplane in new engines have 8 crank pins. (1 pin per con rod.

BTW i seen how they make the wiring in Mercedes, BMW, VW, Audi, Skoda, Porche, Lamborghini, Maybach and it is a timed bomb, it has such a poor quality i wouldn't give money for those brands :) + they are extremley overcomplicated...
