I took over their Con Yard and built a huge Japanese base on the bonus location marked with yellow. Then I used their units to kick their ass. I crushed them with an army of Tsunamis. :)

Thanks for the feedback. When I played this, I wasn't even familiar with the Japanese units, so I didn't even consider that tactic.

I actually took over the mecha bay by the destroyer. Backed up my later assault with strikers and some tengu. But that's just my style, as a destroyer rush can also do in a pinch.

The shogun battleships look cool, but design wise they're a bit impractical since there's a room on them for extra guns. But most the Empire's units aren't very practically designed anyways.
