Several problems. One G-D demand the sacrifice of bulls and goats for atonement of sin, NOT, HUMAN sacrifice. Two, PASSOVER, G-D insrtucted the JEWS to place the blood of the lamb on their doorpost, so to be recognize by death ,as a home, that G-D, spare the life of the first born of that home. NOT, to atone for the sins
What EXACTLY does the TaNaKh say about Human Sacrifice? Google it.
“Quite simply, Yahudim invented the term, "messiah." When we are told by those of the Christian faith (which includes the "Yahudim" for Yahusha and the Messianic "Yahudim" and the "Hebrew" Christians) that our definition, the Jewish definition of "messiah" is incorrect, it is like someone who does not speak English telling a person whose native tongue is English that the word "electrician" means someone who fixes the plumbing.”
@MFPhoto1 There are some Nicene heresies that are so deeply rooted in the Christian psyche that for those seeking authentic biblical religion getting beyond them is very difficult...even with the Light of Torah.
Deuteronomy 24:16 The fathers shall not be put to death for the children, neither shall the children be put to death for the fathers: every man shall be put to death for his own sin.
Galatians 6:5 For every man shall bear his own burden.
Behold the Lamb of God!!! Thank yo Dear Jesus, for dying for a wretch like me...I love you Lord!! He who KNEW NO SIN....took on the sins of the world!! By His STRIPES WE ARE HEALED!! Thank you...
This is beautiful, it brought tears to my eyes. I've been a Christian for some years now but didn't see the connection; how amazing. May YHWH Bless all of U : )
When were the Jewish people ever wounded for Isaiah's people's transgressions? How can they wound themselves for their own sins? Leviticus tell us that "Without the shedding of blood NO ONE will be forgiven of their sins" How can a Jewish person be forgiven today? Where is the blood sacrifice? where is the temple? where is the passover lamb? Only through Adonai'slamb Yeshua can anyone ever be made righteous in ha Shem's eyes. MFPhoto knows this, and will come to trust in Yeshua soon.
@kobi4u Your opening question is just plain dumb. Sorry if the language seems harsh. Try reading a bit of history.
Actually, their are several ways to gain forgiveness for sin. Blood sacrifices are for what in English are translated as sin offerings -- for unintended violations.
Blood sacrifices are also required for guilt offerings -- which are intentional violations. But the Torah is clear that the blood sacrifices do not atone. Rather one is required to correct one's sins.
@MFPhoto1 Only by the blood of a sinless Saviour will you ever have your sins forgiven. Swinging a chicken around your head (Kapparot) on Yom ha-Kippurim is a sad substitute for the blood of the (sin-less) Yeshua Messiah!!! Whether it's a BIG sin or a small sin, they all need forgiven, and only ha-Shem can forgive! we as sinners CANNOT correct our own sins, we can turn away from them them but first we need to REPENT! and receive forgiviness through Messiah Yeshua's shed blood.
@kobi4u What about theft? If you steal something, you are required to bring a blood sacrifice, but the Torah clearly tells us this does not bring atonement. What brings atonement is returning the stolen item plus 1/5 of its value, or the monetary equivalent of the stolen item and 1/5 of its value.
Note the Hebrew for sacrifice is korban, which means "to return." Sacrifices do not bring atonement if you do not return from your transgression. The Torah says so.
Did you actually use the name Yehovah for God? Yehovah/Jehovah is a mistransliteration of God’s Hebrew name! How could you make such a fundamental error? And actually read Isaiah! He actually identifies the servant in 53 as the Jewish people. Is your religion so empty that you have to steal from the Jews and distort all the meaning of Pasach?
@MFPhoto1 Yeshua in Hebrew, Jesus--in Greek, came first to save God's choosen people, the Jews. Who have been, and always will be the Apple of His eye. I am grafted into the "family" by grace, and I am SO THANKFUL!!...don't let the haters of this world take away the true meaning of what was done!! For we are saved by grace....and Isaiah 53----(sigh's) one of my favorite verses!! NOTHING can take away the beauty of what our Lord and Savior did....God bless you!!
@yankeegurl62 Keep reading. Isaiah speaks of the suffering servant in several passages, and even identifies him directly. Isaiah himself says the suffering servant is the Jewish people, although this I believe is edited out of several Christian bibles.
Enjoyed this video...one thing also though is the curtain in the temple seperating the Holy of Holies was torn in two because Jesus reconciled man to God and we no longer need a curtain/veil to approach God to make atointment for our sins...Jesus is our atonement & our High Priest...
"This is what archaeologists have learned from their excavations in the Land of Israel: the Israelites were never in Egypt, did not wander in the desert, did not conquer the land in a military campaign and did not pass it on to the 12 tribes of Israel. Perhaps even harder to swallow is the fact that the united monarchy of David and Solomon, which is described by the Bible as a regional power, was at most a small tribal kingdom." - Prof. Ze'ev Herzog, Tel Aviv University
I just LOVE this!!! Fantastic!!! :-) I wanted something really special to post on FACEBOOK in honour of what Y'SHUA did for us on the cross......and this is definitely it!! Thank you so much....

@Xerxes613 Which proves you can't believe everything you read on the internet.
The Hebrew for messiah is mosheach. It simply means one who has been annointed.

And 40 Yowbel from the time He climbed up on that sacrificial pole will be His return.
Scholars claim 33CE was when Yahushua became our Passover lamb.
1 yowbel = 50yrs....40 times 50 plus 33CE=2033
Look it up, don't believe me. It's there for all.

@kobi4u Actually, "sin" and "guilt" offerings are bad translations. There is no clear English equivalnet for the Hebrew terminology.
Don't forget Hosea who said that since we cannot have offerings today, without a Bais Hamikdosh, we instead substitute our prayers.

Can you cite your references for the archaeological evidence of which you speak instead of just quoting Prof. Herzog.
