This Dr. death who was speaking is sure some fascist pig. He loves to kill babies, ripping them apart and watching them squirm in pain. He is another monster like Tiller. He distorts everything he says. The Constitution is clearly against the murder of babies, but yet he says that those apposed to the murder of babies are against the Constitution. How freaking twisted can one be in their thinking? Well, anyone who enjoys ripping babies apart is twisted, and has no morals.
It's disturbing that there are people who don't let the dead rest.
Personally, I am neutral, like many others, but being pro-life is becoming a misconceived cliche. While in a casual sense, an abortion to many women may seem immoral, there are exceptions that should be acknowledged.
i dont like seeing a bunch of 14-6 yr old with babies... it ruins lives, families and their future and education.... why dont these murder criminals think about these stuff? Instead of killing a bunch of doctors.. why should teach sex education and hand out birth control pills and talk about responsibilities... IDK!
I can only hope that people that think like Scott Roeder read up on both sides of this issue, use their rational rather than emotional brains, and recognize that morality doesn't come from a perceived God..
9/11 should have taught these people that religion makes people do what would be considered immoral things if it were not for the perception of God's sanction.
I'm an atheist. I don't condone murder. But I find it ironic that an abortion doctor is criticizing others for being violent. Abortion is deadly violence against a human being. That's the reality. Whether abortion is justified or not is a personal question ideally a mother and father should answer together.
@truthadvocate Read/watch Sam Harris' Letter to a Christian Nation and then decide if <10,000 undifferentiated cells constitutes a human being.
Scratching your head kills more "humanity" than an abortion. What horrible viaolence you are guilty of every time you shower! (think about it some more pls)
According to Mayo clinic, by 6th week the baby's heart is pumping blood, so cells have differentiated. Women have abortions up to 22 weeks or later depending on state law. At 22 weeks, the baby weighs about a pound. So considering an adult who weighs 154 pounds has an estimated 100 trillion cells, I can estimate a fetus at 22 weeks as having 649 billion cells. "<10,000 undifferentiated cells" is not an accurate description of all abortions.
@truthadvocate Your calculations are more than a bit off. A fetus does not have the same differentiation ratios as an adult. A 22 week old baby has fewer neurons than a common housefly. Would you regret killing a housefly?
And just how Scott Roeder was justified in killing a fully grown adult?
I'm not an advocate of abortion, but the law has been carefully considered here, and it is the women's right to make the decision, not Scott Roeders and not yours.
You didn't refute my calculations. I don't regret killing houseflies. My main concern is how humans treat other humans. I also don't regret using the morning after pill to doom a human blastocyst. I like your argument for cell differentiation. I think that's a decent way to draw the line on when it's ok to kill a human organism. When it's still a blastocyst, no differentiation has occurred. But I don't pretend a stem cell is not human.
@truthadvocate A stem cell may be human, but so is a skin cell, or any other cell.
The law has been established on this topic. Roe v Wade considered the cell differentiation argument and found it wanting.
Without a change in the law (and by legal means), abortion is within the law regardless of your, or Mr Roeder's viewpoint. Murder of an abortion doctor and conspiring to do so are acts or terror, nothing less.
@AEVautomatic What is it about a skin cell that is not human? Is a stem cell more human than a skin cell? How about a fetal cell?
When does a collection of cells become a human? Conception as some religious would have it, or the time drawn by the Supreme Court (who considered it on scientific merits)?" Read the case file on Roe V Wade before making ad hominems.
There are fewer cells at stake in a legal abortion that there are in the showering you do each week.
@AEVautomatic The skin cell contains the same genetic instructions that any other cell in the human body. Is a fetal cell human? Are your stomach lining cells human?
At what point does a collection of cells constitute a human?
You neglected to answer all but the first of thee original questions. I really what to know where you stand on what is a human and what is not. I don't think it is an easy question to answer and careful consideration (not irrational dogma) must be made in answering
The freak is a sociopath, media whore, Murder, and Terrorist, he should never be allowed any kind of access to media!
If he says he has information on more attacks then he should be taken to one of the CIA's secret prisons & water boarded until he gives up all the information he has!
Dr tiller charges 5k for a late term abortion(according to bill oreilly),I know poor women cant pay that much,so who is getting these 5k abortions, wealthy republican women perhaps?
I don't understand why we can't throw these abortion doctors in prison for flagrant violations of the hippocratic oath. Oh that's right..they don't take their oath anymore.
you think this guy is offensive, lets show pictures of aborted babies from dr tillers office...and you;ll see why abortion doctors make this guy look like an amateur.
@beayv6 Well, Dr. Hern did say that abortion is a fundamental component to women's health care. As a woman, I believe I am well within my rights to have an abortion, should I need it. Terminating a pregnancy is not a decision that is taken lightly, but if pro-lifers actually sought to understand, they'd know.
PS. Of course he is pissed off--a colleague of his was murdered in cold blood for providing health care to women. You wouldn't be a little upset?
Can anyone else hear the hatred in Hearn's voice that ONE abortion doctor was killed? I'm not defending Roeder, murder is murder, and he was wrong to murder Dr. Tiller, but how is the killing of one man so much more heinous than that of thousands of unborn babies? I just really don't understand this line of thought.
That P*ssy sounds so scared to die.....hahaha.......Your time is rapidly approaching. Numbers 32:23 But if ye will not do so, behold, ye have sinned against the LORD: and be sure your sin will find you out.
Hopefully, you'll never find yourself in the position of having committed a murder you personally believed in, then losing more nerve than you thought you would as reality marches on.
I'm sure Roeder weighed all this in his head before he ever set out on this path, so I'm kinda with you on the burden he'll carry to whatever end, but don't forget that his victim sinned MUCH greater against the LORD than Roeder did.
Tiller killed countless innocents who never saw the light of day.
The law is the law. Its funny how the law doesn't give a shit about what the bible thinks.
Both sides claimed the other committed murder, but who is in jail now? Obviously Scott Roadkill didn't feel very confident that his cause was gaining ground. If he did, he wouldn't have taken the actions of a retard.
Let's do away with medical science completely! No pain meds for injured vets, no Viagra for limp dicks, no more Oxy for countless paranoid conservatives, and no more women's choice! Yahoo! We're back in the 15th century.
I'd been leaving this one alone, but let's add some TRUTH to this Amish thing:
I'd rather know how to live off the land properly, be able to do more with herbs growing in my backyard than modern medical science can for anything except broken bones & extreme trauma, not NEED Viagra for 80 years or so, and still be able to say, "Complete the sentence: a woman's right to choose what?"
Yes, you ARE headed into the Dark Ages, and you're too big a bunch of fools to even NOTICE, for the most part!
Wha is continually frustrating is that "pro choicers" are met with ignorance at EVERY juncture! IF you want to severly
limit unwanted pregnancies, you'd ACCEPT Beautiful Human Nature for what IT IS, and hand out condoms to EVERYBODY! Starting at age 13...the LATEST!! I put a basket of them in the bathroom for my teenagers! Jesus! Get some common sense! Talk sex unabashadley with your children! If you don't who will? Put the bible down and read something educating for Christs Sake!
@mrechichi Where we started running into this problem is when we STOPPED reading the Bible.
And this doctor is a lying alarmist piece of crap in his allegations; if it was an organized movement of the caliber he's saying, this doc & a lot more others would probably already be dead.
Thankfully the retarded religious aren't smart enough to organize that well. Besides, if they did, having murderous intent is ILLEGAL in a country that has brains.
That retard who murdered Dr. Tiller knows his side is losing. People like that have long been frustrated and it doesn't help that for the next 4 years the country is going to have a president who is totally against them.
I like to see the religious fringe this upset. I hope they all have panic attacks and die.
The bible was written by a few men who - whether they meant well or ill- wrote it to control hoardes of other 'men' (and women). We don't need it anymore. We've evolved! Yay Science & Technology!! We have refrigerators now and we can eat meat whenever we want! Pork: It's not just for slaughtering on Sundays anymore! (though, I don't eat it. Pigs are just too smart to eat....conservatives however!
Now THERE'S a statement steeped in bigotry; not that I'm surprised.
It's never occurred to you, because it's one of the evolutionists' dirtiest little secrets and you tend to swallow their drivel with no questions asked, but evolutionists have no way of knowing the Earth's age themselves.
There's science & there's science falsely so called.
Spelling doesn't count for much my dear. I mean, your Republican Conservative Prez Bushie Poo could hardly even speak - yet because you share the same retarded religious idealism - you probably voted for him. And that's NOT SMART! I mean, look at the state of this country now! Good thing you twits voted on brilliant religious "Merit".
Spelling counts for much more than you think it does, poopsie-woopsie, because it's part of anyone who has a brain's 1st impression of your intellect.
Your next declaration of your intellecual dwarfism is your reference to Bush (either of them) as a "conservative." Both were moderates at best.
But, lest the professors field too many questions like, "Why do we hate moderates now; you've been telling us they're OK," the term, "neocon," was invented to accomodate Baby Bush.
Bush said he was saved by the Lord and that's why he quit drinking - then many many many conservatives voted for him. To me, Obama is conservative; to you Bush is liberal....must be a sign of why we get along so well.
Then why are the vast majority of teen pregnancy cases in the South? I mean, sure, this happens in the North East and the West Coast as well, but nowhere near the level that it happens in the South.
I'd doubt that based on the evidence of my own eyes up here north of the Mason-Dixon line, but not even in the South is the Bible read as it once was.
No, the South does have most teen pregnancy cases in the country.
I point this out because the South is always so full of itself with the whole moral values theme.
Sorry, but they are such an ironic group to be spouting about how patriotic they are, given the fact that they come from a part of the country that tried to leave the Union 150+ years ago.
As for the bible.... GOOD! The bible should have no say in how this country conducts itself, espcially as we improve in social topics.
No, you play it fast & loose with the truth bcause you've been taught that truth is relative & been filled full of yourself at school.
You also need to learn the difference between patriotism & statism.
As for the Bible, no, it's NOT good to keep trying to remove its influence, because we've made NO improvements, only declines, in "social topics," the further we've gotten away from it.
By decline, you probably mean the fact that there are rotten people out there who Bill O'Reilly focuses on: Like the people who gave their 3 year old child marijuana while on camera, and O'Reilly tries to claim it is an epidemic. You go "culture warrior" lol.
Notice how O'Reilly won't include gay marriage in topics like that, of how it is somehow destroying the country. Even he knows better than to think that.
Sorry, there is no fast and loose. Just numerous studies done by medical journals.
No, by decline I mean everyone from those you mentioned to those like you who have to refer to a Fox News personality every time their prejudices are challenged. You go, too, zombie! lol.
Lifting up shills like O'Reilly doesn't faze me. I have God's testimony on it & if you, O'Reilly, & 99% of the nation reject it, you'll just end up in the fire with Sodom & Gomorrha.
And yes, there IS fast & loose, Virginia, even at the medical journals.
The only prejudices that this country is challenging is yours. Gay marriage is only a matter of time. 'Don't Ask, Don't Tell' is way unpopular and will be undone this year, the public supports a woman's right to choose, and I don't give a shit if me bringing up O'Reilly doesn't faze you. All those topics I just brought up are what fazes you, my friend.
And as for your "god's testimony, and Sodom&Gomorrha"..... blah blah, something biblical, that is just your opinion. People don't care anymore.
I agree NewGuy. The fear that's out there just can't hold up, not in this country anyway. People have been filled to overflowing with "shock & awe", fear based religious fervor, with political & religious figure heads pitting American against American. The thing is, the hypocrisy is undoing them. I always wonder how many of these 'Family Values' senators who've been found out for adulterous relationsships have paid for there mistrisses to do away with the evidence.
The only people spouting fear are you & your ilk, mrechichi, as well as inuendo based on bigotry & hatred.
And your side's being undone more tellingly every day by hypocrisy. A recent example: "Climategate."
I can't answer for those timid enough to change their stand's name to "Family Values;" I thought it was a weak move, but God has ways of weeding out the phonies.
You know what's funny about proposition 8? The fact that it was basically supported by the Mormon church in their pathetic crusade to teach gay people and other Americans about "Family Values."
They are a joke that is losing, and I am so glad for that.
I could call your viewpoint a joke that thinks it's winning, except that there's nothing funny about anything that cruel.
But that's your hero the devil for you, keeping the blinders on until you're just about to hit the wall full tilt, and always telling you you're too smart for God.
But thanks all the same for pointing out just whomm it was that coined the phrase, "Family Values."
I AM too smart for a god that thinks like that, and so are you. You want to know why people like you cling to an issue like abortion?.... Its because it is all you've got left. There is no more debate anymore on gay marriage except with people in your own ranks. Going to church is now no longer a do or die mandate. Now, all you can do is hang on to this belief that abortion is cold-blooded murder.... and now even that is only described as "just your opinion."
Oh, you don't need to worry about whether or not I care. You have to worry about the fact that the majority of this country doesn't care what you think anymore.
It really is pathetic for you to think that all you need to do is yell louder. That isn't your problem, we hear you loud and clear. We just don't care.
Fetus means young one. They know exactly what it is they are destroying when they destroy the life of a fetus. They create all of this psychobabble to try and obfuscate the reality of slaughter. America is not the first civilization that has destroyed "young ones" en masse. Historically it has always spelt out the beginning of the end for cultures who spill the blood of the innocents...
"They shed innocent blood... and the land was desecrated by their blood" (Psalms 106:38).
True story. My father went to a bar. He had to go to the restroom, but there was a line. He went outside into an alley at night and let it loose. He now spends 4 months in jail for the "crime" he committed. Victimless crimes, lol...
Now we see this man being worshipped for his crime while he uses other "crimes" to justify his. Have you ever tried living in a world where crime justifies crime? America wouldn't last two weeks. This man needs to serve life in a cell for a safer America.
All anyone's saying is that he should've been allowed to present all maters in his defense, same as Lorena Bobbitt or most other nutjobs are allowed to do, whether it helped him or hurt him.
In a sane world, both he & Tiller would belong in a cell for murder.
More violence to come? Of coarse why wouldn't there be? Any society that lets there innocent children be ripped apart inside and outside of the womb is destined to reap violence.
I don't believe in his murdering of anyone either. But the fact still remains that 1.6 million innocent Americans every year are being slaughtered in legal abortion clinics.
I guess the age old adage still rings true in the postmodern era, "One death is a tragedy. A million deaths is just a statistic..."
Oh BTW I've read more books in my young adult life than you have read entire sentences, trust me on that one! BTW "religious" does not get capitalized mid-sentence, ignoramus!
If someone like me makes a mistake, it is because it was unintentional. If someone like you made the same mistake, it is because you didn't know any better.
Although I must agree with you. The very word (religion) is absolutely not worth capitalizing. Religion will have to do a lot better to earn that recognition.
"Unintentional" & "not knowing any better" mean the same thing, but somehow you can't see that, newguy. XDXDXD
And it may or may not surprise you, but Christ Himself said religion without a relationship with God was just about useless.
Benjamin Rush, the Founding Father who was called "the father of American public education," summed up its only virtue when he said, "I'd rather that ANY religion be taught rather than none at all," because without it, man devolves, period.
Why don't you ever get mad at the pregnant women who, you know, actually walk into the abortion clinics. Why don't you call them murderers.
You fucking idiot!!!!! The world will never adhere to your beliefs. Go die now, not that you would be missed. You lost dipshit.... time to eat what we eat.
And whenever your views are challenged, you bark and howl about communism, socialism, and anything else that my grandpa might know of from 50 + years ago.
Fundamentalists, whether Christian, Muslim, or whatever...are hinderances to society's growth and often morph into terrorists. I see no difference whatsoever between christians killing in the name of god, or the taliban killing in the name of god. What a bunch of ignorant derilicts. Thanks DAP, I appreciate your proactive nature facilitating communication.
mrechichi states: I see no difference whatsoever between christians killing in the name of god, or the taliban killing in the name of god.
Well it might be because your a mindless idiot? Not calling you names just asking thats all. For one name some of the last Christians who killed in the name of God? What Christian flew a plane into a couple buildings? What Christians are blowing themselves up in the name of a false god? I think fundamentalist morons are the true hindrance to society.
Actually, Christians are 'usually' the ones living in relative wealth, paying and playing into materialism and capitalism that feeds on the poverty of other nations. This doesn't happen in Only America, but Mostly America. In any case, if the Christians were the ones who were down, they'd do the exact same things the other religious lameasses do. Cuz their little religious nut job minds are closed to the ever illuminating light of reality!!!
There's no point in arguing with religion. God in one belief system is the devil in another, but any one of them has yet to prove why one is real or superior. That's religion for you, but you won't hear that from the worshippers.
People aren't good or bad. The decisions they make determine that. I might not believe, but I choose to keep an open mind. What happens if one religion is right and another is wrong? Do the "wrong believers" automatically go to hell no matter how good they are?
Roe V. Wade was an usurpation of power by the Supreme Court. That court decision should of been "reserved to the states respectively, or to the people" ...as the 10th amendment of the Bill of Rights states. The Supreme Court over stepped its boundaries by ruling on an issue (power) "not delegated" to the Federal government.
@newguyout How could Roeder say his cause was losing when 20-25,000 people showed up to protest Obama's selection as keynote speaker at Notre Dame just a week or 2 before?
If I'd been in Roeder's shoes, seriously planning violence, I mean, just a turnout like that at one of my side's protests could've kept me from actually doing said violence for at least 1 more year!
There isn't much logic in that argument. About 20 to 25 thousand people protested that visit after it was in the headlines for weeks. I mean come on, gee, what a surprise that people around Notre Dame (a catholic and very religious institution) protested a pro-choicer.
It was probably the biggest cliche of pro-choice vs. pro-life, along with gobs of media attentiion and thats all it got?
btw... most of these people are only the hard-liners who had nothing else to do.
This guy is a piece of shit! It's too bad he wasn't one of Tiller's earlier patients. This guy should have been aborted. What a murderous scumbag. Anyone caught doing these kinds of hideous murders should be buried alive.
I hope somebody at MSNBC helps David Shuster understand that he's a complete corporate jerkoff. He can pretend to be a journalist, but everyone with a brain in their head knows what he does for a living. He (once again) squandered an important opportunity to report the news and conduct an interview.
Meanwhile, ultra-right Christian fascists turn our democracy into a bad copy of the Taliban nightmare. Well done, David! You nasty little sh*t.
that is the second one and there may be more to come and it appears to be a message from the right wing nutzos. time is no longer on their side... they kill and they also kill their party. buh bye gop, repukes, right wing.
if we lock him up, then we pay more taxes for overcrowded prisons, he gets three meals and a roof, that is more than a law abiding hard working citizen ousted out of their homes due to harsh economic times. if he becomes a martyr, the memory of it would be short term.. only serial killers get the notoriety: media attention, books , movies etc.
It costs more to execute him and serial killers might have notoriety, but they aren't considered martyrs within their communities. BTW, American criminals are not prohibited by law from profiting off their crimes through books, TV, movies, etc.
Oh, and if you put this insignificant, pudgy, pudding-soft man in general population, he will be humiliated and used for the rest of his days.
ok logically this does not make sense when u say it costs more to execute him.. by just logic alone this is not correct. so i decided to look it up, despite having a criminology background... i took a snippet from a website called deathpenaltyinfo... "The costs of carrying out (execution) a death sentence were about half the costs of carrying out a non-death sentence in a comparable case.." it is impossible that execution costs more than housing a prisoner for life. avg injection cost: $86!
You're not counting the cost of appeals and special housing. They are tremendous. No prisoner in the US goes straight from conviction to the gallows, as it were.
Sure the injection costs less than your average speaker system, but the run to home is what is so very expensive. Besides, releasing him to the sweet arms of oblivion is much kinder than forcing him to live out his days in captivity. Make him suffer.
i had a secondary feeling that was what you were referencing to, the overall costs: trial, stays of executions, appeals etc. then yes it costs more. but if we were to take our crappy judicial system and mirror it after japan's, a country with one of the lowest crime rates, then a sentencing of execution is ideal (they arent on death row for very long). i had a feeling u were getting at he should suffer. the hardcore criminals in the prisons would "take care of him" anyway heh.
i rechecked my statements about japan and your comments, things have changed since the mid 90's, you are correct and that japan's justice system isn't as tight as it once was. i am not sure what u are referencing to about the horse i got???
ok that is what i thought your horse comment meant. i liked it actually. typically these people who commit these types of crimes have a few screws loose. if they find him unfit to stand trial (mentally ill) u will get your wish of no death penalty. i dont agree with it coming from a criminology background, if i was mentally ill and did all sorts of crazy harmful things and most likely in the future.. put me down. there is no death penalty for the criminally insane.
I don't think there should EVER be a death penalty. Too many times the justice system makes mistakes and you can't free a corpse. Just a few years ago, the Governer of Illinois called a moratorium on executions after 11 men on death row were found to be innocent by DNA evidence. Too many mistakes get made and too many innocents die. It's not a flawless system and because it's not, the death penalty shouldn't be a part of it.
Besides, life imprisonment is crueler if you ask me.
many who were wrongfully imprisoned were from 20+ years or so ago because DNA wasnt created. NOW, i feel wrongfully accussed and imprisoned is next to nill/less because of DNA. i agree to disgaree with you. i do believe in death penalty. i feel badly for those in prison for years that are innocent. i find major fault in our judicial system/government for not adequately compensating them after they have been released. they get a sorry and a few bucks to find their way back into civilianhood.
The problem with the death penalty is that in a good percentage of cases, even today, there is no DNA present to either exonerate or condemn someone. Also, the death penalty isn't evenly applied. The poor, disabled and minorities are more likely to get death sentences than whites and people with money.
Also, we're one of the few countries that will sentence a minor to death. We are in such stellar company as Iran, Somalia, and Ethiopia. Frankly, a death sentence is barbaric and unfair.
If killing someone who kills babies makes you a terrorist, well, by George, let's be terrorists!

"abortion is within the law" That's correct. I'm not arguing with you on what the law says.
I simply pointed out what abortion is. Writing words on paper and passing laws, doesn't have the power to magically change the laws of physics.
If abortion ends the life of a human. Passing a law to make abortion legal doesn't change the fact that abortion still ends the life of a human.
Also, laws passed by a coercive monopoly are a very poor barometer with which to judge actions.

MsWilatowska 1 year ago
Can anyone else hear the hatred in Hearn's voice that ONE abortion doctor was killed? I'm not defending Roeder, murder is murder, and he was wrong to murder Dr. Tiller, but how is the killing of one man so much more heinous than that of thousands of unborn babies? I just really don't understand this line of thought.

HereForNow15 2 years ago

And this doctor is a lying alarmist piece of crap in his allegations; if it was an organized movement of the caliber he's saying, this doc & a lot more others would probably already be dead.
jeffpace60 2 years ago
@jeffpace60
I hope they all have panic attacks and die.
newguyout 2 years ago
Actually, it's the retards who AREN'T religious who're the biggest problem.
All the murderous intent I read on YouTube alone is proof that this isn't a country with brains anymore.
Panic attacks are for YOUR side of the coin, and wishing someone dead is murderous intent enough to qualify you as a hypocrite.
The wicked flee when none pursueth, and the Tiller murder has most of the earmarks of a put-up job.

Pigs are just too smart to eat....conservatives however!
mrechichi 2 years ago
I've lived long enough to know we've devolved, not evolved.
You can't even spell "hordes," which means you'd probably do quite dismally against Jeff Foxworthy's 5th-graders.
No prob, tho; recently I countercommented with a college grad who didn't know what I had to know to pass the 3RD grade when I was a kid!
And your opening remarks indicate you know nothing about the Bible whatsoever.
Apparently, pigs are smarter than liberals as well, and better to eat!
jeffpace60 2 years ago
OK, so I might do dismally in spelling. You might do poorly in the Science department since you probably think the Earth is only 6,000 years old.
newguyout 2 years ago
Now THERE'S a statement steeped in bigotry; not that I'm surprised.
It's never occurred to you, because it's one of the evolutionists' dirtiest little secrets and you tend to swallow their drivel with no questions asked, but evolutionists have no way of knowing the Earth's age themselves.
There's science & there's science falsely so called.
jeffpace60 2 years ago

But, lest the professors field too many questions like, "Why do we hate moderates now; you've been telling us they're OK," the term, "neocon," was invented to accomodate Baby Bush.
jeffpace60 2 years ago

When we stopped reading the bible?
Then why are the vast majority of teen pregnancy cases in the South? I mean, sure, this happens in the North East and the West Coast as well, but nowhere near the level that it happens in the South.
newguyout 2 years ago
I'd doubt that based on the evidence of my own eyes up here north of the Mason-Dixon line, but not even in the South is the Bible read as it once was.
jeffpace60 2 years ago
No, the South does have most teen pregnancy cases in the country.
I point this out because the South is always so full of itself with the whole moral values theme.
Sorry, but they are such an ironic group to be spouting about how patriotic they are, given the fact that they come from a part of the country that tried to leave the Union 150+ years ago.
As for the bible.... GOOD! The bible should have no say in how this country conducts itself, espcially as we improve in social topics.
newguyout 2 years ago
No, you play it fast & loose with the truth bcause you've been taught that truth is relative & been filled full of yourself at school.
You also need to learn the difference between patriotism & statism.
As for the Bible, no, it's NOT good to keep trying to remove its influence, because we've made NO improvements, only declines, in "social topics," the further we've gotten away from it.
jeffpace60 2 years ago
By decline, you probably mean the fact that there are rotten people out there who Bill O'Reilly focuses on: Like the people who gave their 3 year old child marijuana while on camera, and O'Reilly tries to claim it is an epidemic. You go "culture warrior" lol.
Notice how O'Reilly won't include gay marriage in topics like that, of how it is somehow destroying the country. Even he knows better than to think that.
Sorry, there is no fast and loose. Just numerous studies done by medical journals.
newguyout 2 years ago
No, by decline I mean everyone from those you mentioned to those like you who have to refer to a Fox News personality every time their prejudices are challenged. You go, too, zombie! lol.
Lifting up shills like O'Reilly doesn't faze me. I have God's testimony on it & if you, O'Reilly, & 99% of the nation reject it, you'll just end up in the fire with Sodom & Gomorrha.
And yes, there IS fast & loose, Virginia, even at the medical journals.
I call it, "Will give expert testimony for food."
jeffpace60 2 years ago
The only prejudices that this country is challenging is yours. Gay marriage is only a matter of time. 'Don't Ask, Don't Tell' is way unpopular and will be undone this year, the public supports a woman's right to choose, and I don't give a shit if me bringing up O'Reilly doesn't faze you. All those topics I just brought up are what fazes you, my friend.
And as for your "god's testimony, and Sodom&Gomorrha"..... blah blah, something biblical, that is just your opinion. People don't care anymore.
newguyout 2 years ago
I agree NewGuy. The fear that's out there just can't hold up, not in this country anyway. People have been filled to overflowing with "shock & awe", fear based religious fervor, with political & religious figure heads pitting American against American. The thing is, the hypocrisy is undoing them. I always wonder how many of these 'Family Values' senators who've been found out for adulterous relationsships have paid for there mistrisses to do away with the evidence.
mrechichi 2 years ago
The only people spouting fear are you & your ilk, mrechichi, as well as inuendo based on bigotry & hatred.
And your side's being undone more tellingly every day by hypocrisy. A recent example: "Climategate."
I can't answer for those timid enough to change their stand's name to "Family Values;" I thought it was a weak move, but God has ways of weeding out the phonies.
jeffpace60 2 years ago
You know what's funny about proposition 8? The fact that it was basically supported by the Mormon church in their pathetic crusade to teach gay people and other Americans about "Family Values."
They are a joke that is losing, and I am so glad for that.
newguyout 2 years ago
I could call your viewpoint a joke that thinks it's winning, except that there's nothing funny about anything that cruel.
But that's your hero the devil for you, keeping the blinders on until you're just about to hit the wall full tilt, and always telling you you're too smart for God.
But thanks all the same for pointing out just whomm it was that coined the phrase, "Family Values."
jeffpace60 2 years ago
@jeffpace60
I AM too smart for a god that thinks like that, and so are you. You want to know why people like you cling to an issue like abortion?.... Its because it is all you've got left. There is no more debate anymore on gay marriage except with people in your own ranks. Going to church is now no longer a do or die mandate. Now, all you can do is hang on to this belief that abortion is cold-blooded murder.... and now even that is only described as "just your opinion."
newguyout 2 years ago
It doesn't matter if "people don't care anymore," it just makes God's judgment fall harder once it does.
Nothing you've said surprises or fazes me; I've heard almost all those lies before. Even BELIEVED most of 'em myself before I grew up.
Neither a man or a woman has the right to choose murder, and abortion is murder.
The one whose prejudices are being challenged remains you, my friend.
Christ began doing AWAY with MY prejudices the moment I accepted Him as my savior.
jeffpace60 2 years ago
Oh, you don't need to worry about whether or not I care. You have to worry about the fact that the majority of this country doesn't care what you think anymore.
It really is pathetic for you to think that all you need to do is yell louder. That isn't your problem, we hear you loud and clear. We just don't care.
newguyout 2 years ago
So you still think I worry about whether or not you or even "the majority of this country" doesn't care?
What I think doesn't mean any more than what you think or what "the majority" or "the minority" on this country thinks.
What's really pathetic is that when anyone stands for truth, you yell all the louder that you donb't care.
God cares enough to provide you with a way to come to Him whether you care or not, but it must be accepted BEFORE you die.
You make it null & void if you don't.

Now we see this man being worshipped for his crime while he uses other "crimes" to justify his. Have you ever tried living in a world where crime justifies crime? America wouldn't last two weeks. This man needs to serve life in a cell for a safer America.

I haven't seen anyone worshipping Roeder.
All anyone's saying is that he should've been allowed to present all maters in his defense, same as Lorena Bobbitt or most other nutjobs are allowed to do, whether it helped him or hurt him.
In a sane world, both he & Tiller would belong in a cell for murder.

And it may or may not surprise you, but Christ Himself said religion without a relationship with God was just about useless.

Cuz their little religious nut job minds are closed to the ever illuminating light of reality!!!
mrechichi 2 years ago
There's no point in arguing with religion. God in one belief system is the devil in another, but any one of them has yet to prove why one is real or superior. That's religion for you, but you won't hear that from the worshippers.
People aren't good or bad. The decisions they make determine that. I might not believe, but I choose to keep an open mind. What happens if one religion is right and another is wrong? Do the "wrong believers" automatically go to hell no matter how good they are?
AndrewRyan15 2 years ago
"I see no difference whatsoever between christians killing in the name of god, or the taliban killing in the name of god."
In Christianity God gave His Son to die for us. In Islam God commands you to give up your sons to die for God.
That's the difference.
BTW people who kill abortion doctors are killing them to save babies they are not trying to kill doctors to save God!
Thats the difference..

Read the 10th amendment, smart guy!
nef2442 2 years ago
How much power should we give to the states, smart guy?
Should we have let the states decide on whether to let black people vote, or for women to vote?
That "usurpation of power" you speak of is also known as a decision you disagree with. Most people support a woman's right to choose.
Have you noticed that Republicans don't go after this topic in the same way they attack gay marriage or medical marijuana?
Sorry, but the graphic abortion pictures aren't working anymore.
newguyout 2 years ago
@newguyout How could Roeder say his cause was losing when 20-25,000 people showed up to protest Obama's selection as keynote speaker at Notre Dame just a week or 2 before?
If I'd been in Roeder's shoes, seriously planning violence, I mean, just a turnout like that at one of my side's protests could've kept me from actually doing said violence for at least 1 more year!
I could be wrong, but I still say "put-up job."
jeffpace60 2 years ago
@jeffpace60

Roeder should be executed. He is a terrorist and there is no excuse for his blatant refusal to follow the law.
Smartassawhip 2 years ago
To execute him would make him a martyr.
Just lock him up in general population and don't give him anymore press attention.
ciaochowbella 2 years ago 3
if we lock him up, then we pay more taxes for overcrowded prisons, he gets three meals and a roof, that is more than a law abiding hard working citizen ousted out of their homes due to harsh economic times. if he becomes a martyr, the memory of it would be short term.. only serial killers get the notoriety: media attention, books , movies etc.
KILLAMANJARO3 2 years ago
It costs more to execute him and serial killers might have notoriety, but they aren't considered martyrs within their communities. BTW, American criminals are not prohibited by law from profiting off their crimes through books, TV, movies, etc.
Oh, and if you put this insignificant, pudgy, pudding-soft man in general population, he will be humiliated and used for the rest of his days.
ciaochowbella 2 years ago
ok logically this does not make sense when u say it costs more to execute him.. by just logic alone this is not correct. so i decided to look it up, despite having a criminology background... i took a snippet from a website called deathpenaltyinfo... "The costs of carrying out (execution) a death sentence were about half the costs of carrying out a non-death sentence in a comparable case.." it is impossible that execution costs more than housing a prisoner for life. avg injection cost: $86!
KILLAMANJARO3 2 years ago
You're not counting the cost of appeals and special housing. They are tremendous. No prisoner in the US goes straight from conviction to the gallows, as it were.
Sure the injection costs less than your average speaker system, but the run to home is what is so very expensive. Besides, releasing him to the sweet arms of oblivion is much kinder than forcing him to live out his days in captivity. Make him suffer.
ciaochowbella 2 years ago
i had a secondary feeling that was what you were referencing to, the overall costs: trial, stays of executions, appeals etc. then yes it costs more. but if we were to take our crappy judicial system and mirror it after japan's, a country with one of the lowest crime rates, then a sentencing of execution is ideal (they arent on death row for very long). i had a feeling u were getting at he should suffer. the hardcore criminals in the prisons would "take care of him" anyway heh.
KILLAMANJARO3 2 years ago
You have to ride the horse you've got, not the one you wish you had.

KILLAMANJARO3 2 years ago
It's a metaphor. it means you have to work with what you have, not what you wish you had.
ciaochowbella 2 years ago
ok that is what i thought your horse comment meant. i liked it actually. typically these people who commit these types of crimes have a few screws loose. if they find him unfit to stand trial (mentally ill) u will get your wish of no death penalty. i dont agree with it coming from a criminology background, if i was mentally ill and did all sorts of crazy harmful things and most likely in the future.. put me down. there is no death penalty for the criminally insane.

Frankly, a death sentence is barbaric and unfair.

so if your loved one that you truly loved was killed in cold blood you wouldn't want that gal or guy to die? I would! we agree to disagree. peace ;)

No, because dying is easy. Living is much harder. Especially if you have to face those you've wronged on a regular basis.
BTW, I had a cousin killed......her killer got life. I torment him regularly. He also gets raped regularly at my behest and request.
Yeah, let them live and make them suffer.
