@traxxas908 my grandma has an olds 88 with the MPFI 3800 series II. its a gutless wonder for some reason but gets excellent MPGs and has mabey 40K miles on it or less. my brother has a 2000 gtp mildly built and will flat out f-in run but gets worse MPGs than my 5.7 4x4 sierra in mixed driving but can hit 20 or slightly above hwy. ponitac was gm's performance brand but at least they are bringing back the 6 litre g8. its a 6.0 or 6.2, probably 6.2 since its gonna b a rebadged caprice

if your 5.7 4x4 gets better gas milage than your sc gtp you could try letting outta the gas for a comparison. i had a l67, 3.4, pcm, intake, exhaust, rockers, cat and got well over 30mpg on highway. my 10.5 hour trip from mt. dora FL, to north canton OH averaged 32 mpg (1013miles 12hrs 45minutes - 3 15min gas fillups - 1 45min nap - 1 45min detour because i missed the off ramp for 77 north and didnt realize it until i was on the other side of columbia= 10 hrs 30min
@coolaid84 lol missing the ramp sucks dosent it. best we have gotten was about 20 or so which is how much i can get from my truck. the car has high flow manifolds, 3in.down pipe, no cats, 3/4 pulley, CAI with specter filter, and aftermarket racing computer, and stock mufflers. even before that, it didnt do to great in mpg's.
I always used to be about the Grand Prix and still have mine but slap the same mods on and its over. I never liked comparing N/A vs. forced induction. The Cobra dudes would always do that and I hated it.
@ehilden33 so if the GTP Was stock will the camaro win its cause i gave a 2002 GTP and my brother just bought one over there in california and he wants to race me.
@ehilden33 Thats nice you should really think about getting a performance cam and throttle body, with those 2 mods and good tires you will be running somewere in the 12 second quarter mile range. Also if you dont have a aftermarket pcm I would seriously consider it cause its only a couple hundred and it will give you alot of power and torque and better shifting. I had a 2.8 pulley on mine but mine was fully tuned to handle that without damaging the engine.
@fabiolas4 haha yeah sorry about that, i had some problems with my camera man that night...it's hard to tell from the video, but the track is pretty short. It's only about 350 feet or so so the race was almost over.
