  • These are amazing, I JUST made them ^^ Careful not to put too much honey, or it won't absorb as well, I made that errorr ^^''

  • @00Lancer Glad you liked them. You've inspired me to make up a batch too!

  • "I'm gonna put my nuts in and just cook those until theres no more syrup left" hahahahaha

  • I like to watch or read a recipe, and then follow it with intuition and change things up. Your video inspired me to roast some nuts, and here is what I did different. Vegetable Oil (Canola is not healthy) Honey Real maple syrup Water Unrefined sugar Pink Himalayan salt Black pepper Cinnamon Paprika I'll let you know how it taste : )
  • never use canola oil! That is a Genetically modified food product, it is bad for you folks! there are healthier alternatives, the best would be coconut oil.

  • These came out gooooood! Added some cinnamon

  • @stepheck1234 I'm glad you liked them. These almonds are an absolute favorite at my house this time of year!

  • I love how she said "i'm going to put my nuts in"

I don't know why she didn't say "i'm going to put the almonds in"

    Just found it funny

  • "don't forget the salt or they will taste too sweet." How about using less sugar lady ? lol

  • I just made 100 packets of these to give away to breast cancer survivors. They loved them!

  • This is my favorite recipes for nuts.

  • hi..gr8 recpie... can it be done with some other oil i mean any vegitable oil if i dont have canola oil..??

  • shezie125

I know that anyone who tries it, likes it. Happy it worked for you, too.

  • This is fabulous!

  • even her name sounds chef-like

  • Love that you made a new recipe!

  • i had a jar of homemade cashews in the fridge. slightly salted, my family got bored eating that all the time. so i try this recipe. i dont have canola oil, i use melted butter instead. and i added a little bit less sugar. it turn out GREAT, the jar is all cleared now, thank you!

  • A-HA!

I made some using an almost identical recipe, but they're hella oily.

Turns out I used tablespoons of oil rather than teaspoons.

    Such is life.

  • They're also good with a shake of cayenne.

  • Just made these with peanuts instead and they are seriously the best honey roasted peanuts i have EVER had! Super fast to make too!! This recipe is great!!!! Thank you so much!

  • @RankinBryton I knew you'd love them. And they're more authentic made with peanuts! Wait till I share my new recipe for cinnamon/maple country fair pecans - addictive, too. ~ Rita

  • Looks great Rita. But you forgot to show us the packaging that you promised.....

  • Refined sugar is poison to the body, trust me!

  • does roasting nuts not cook the goodness out o them???

  • i'm gonna try this recipe with brown sugar

  • awesome Rita, i am looking at making a spicy bbq roasted almond batch. I have some spicy salt that i think will come in handy!

  • awesome, im looking at making some kind of spicy bbq roasted almonds..i have a hot salt that i think will come in handy!

  • I just made these and yum! I actually didn't have any honey and used dark corn syrup instead. a bit more sticky than in the video, but turned out fine. thanks for posting! :)

  • @treesway Dark corn syrup? Very cool, and now we have a new recipe! Rita from AboutEating

  • hi, why not use actual honey as a coating instead of sugar? It just seems funny that the description is honey roasted almonds and its sugar and salt? Thanks

  • @mellymel42 I agree, that defeats the purpose of eating nutritional almonds if you put salt and sugar on them. Why not just go get a candy bar? I'm going to try the recipe with no salt and sugar. Maybe cinnamon?

  • @AONSproductions Nutritious, not nutritional. Oh wow, sugar is bad for you? What a revelation. If you can't handle it then don't eat it. Most people do fine with an occasional indulgence. You have to live a little, especially around the holidays.

  • @mellymel42 Pay attention; there are 2 tbsp of honey in the coating the nuts are cooked in. Then they are topped with the sugar and salt. That's how it's typically done.

  • yes, best almond recipe ever, so good

  • Glad I found this, I'm going to try next time. My wife bought me the wrong almonds (just roasted and salted) and I had an empty can with a lot of honey roasted powder left over from another can. I just rinsed the almonds to get the powder to stick, sprinked the old powder on them, then broiled them for about 5 minutes. Came out pretty good but I think this will be much better :)

  • I wasn't sure if the almonds needed to be roasted after adding the the honey mixture.

  • I just made them and left them to dry. The honey would probably burn if roasted any more.

  • Hi,

The almonds were DELICIOUS the first time, so I decided to make more right away. I doubled the almonds (4Cups) and double the rest of the ingredients. This time, the almonds were sticky and brown instead of the sugar coating. What did I do wrong?

  • YUMMY! I love almonds!!

  • The recipe at the end calls for mixing the sugar/salt mix coating for the almonds in a separate bowl, not the pan in which the syrup and almonds were cooked. Is one method preferred to another? I like the idea of using less dishes to clean!

  • I just made these using walnut, and splenda! YUM YUM YUM

  • Hi Rita,

Thank you for replying to me.

  • Hi,

It looks good.. please let me, whether I can use a different oil from canola oil? I haven't heard of canola oil before. thanks

  • You can use peanut, corn, vegetable, safflower or olive oil. All work well. ~ Rita

  • No problem, u can use any oil. but dont use olive oil as Klodia says, because olive oil is smelly. use any other kind of oil.

  • my only problem with this is that when your all done the nuts are really sticky even when there dry, kinda sucks to have sticky hands after eating them...are they suppose to be so sticky?

  • I was just searching for a recipe for honey roasted almonds and had no clue there was anything on youtube so thank you.. I LOVE honey roasted almonds..

  • hi...i got to try them today and they were yummy...

i made them with both pecans and almond...the almond was perfect but i think the pecans need 5 more mins extra in the oven...but they still tasted good

  • Thanks for the note. I haven't made these in a while...I may have to whip up a batch too. ~Rita

  • Hi

  • do you men you hate almonds?

  • that is the stupidest post i've ever read...

  • You are wrong and right! They a very good for you...also they ward off cancer cells! If you consume a ton of them day after day and don't exercise you may gain some weight.

Heres another good one I learned ( because it was happening to me ) was a sweetner sp...da was making me gain weight...its only good for dietbetics and its a shame its all over our super markets in tons of products.

So eat thoses awesome almonds lol
