I have a Polish friend who we were trying to get to say Irish phrases (as in Gaelic Irish, not English!) and she rolled the 'R's in such a funny way :-D We *never* do that in Irish, it just made the word sound Polish :)

Well... it's hard to say whether it's difficult to learn or not! I think it's just badly taught to be honest... I've been learning it since I was 5 and I still amn't near fluent. I've been learning French properly since I was 13 and I feel much more competant speaking French. But Irish is such a beautiful language :-) It just has weird rules and stuff.

Not as much as the woman does, but yes, the "R"s are enphasized.. By the way, more than Italian, they're Italo/Amercian (e.g. Soprano's and and the like...) You don't find Italians like that in Italy anymore!...
