Say you play 3 shows a week, and they charge 15 bucks a person, with bands like ADTR they generally pull 3000 people a show that means they make on average 45,000 a show.... that's more then most people make a year. they're not struggling.

Plus they order new merch every other night, they have to eat, drink, smoke etc. Bands this popular also take about 6 or 7 extra crew members who they have to feed, and etc, and their tour manager makes at least a 15% cut of what they make. Trust me, on the road, these guys struggle. They have side business's to help them out cause they're broke.

Even 'big' bands like ADTR would fall into this category. They have crew member's to pay, food costs, gas costs (touring in a large bus could cost a grand + a day), etc. They may have a high guarantee pay per show but a lot it would go towards factors like this.
@andrewpark Actually I do, but more important than that I'm part of a technical crew, meaning that with a band you generally get paid my something called a guild, and those are usually employed by the label. Also they go ahead of bands who do big venues. See if you think that they're still slumming it your mistaken. They do 23 shows up till May saying again that they pull 3000 people at 15 dollars the whole cost is about 1,035,000 dollars saying that they only get half that still

Say you play 3 shows a week, and they charge 15 bucks a person, with bands like ADTR they generally pull 3000 people a show that means they make on average 45,000 a show.... that's more then most people make a year. they're not struggling.

@kushalaslayer You've got to be the biggest idiot I've heard.They pull out lots of kids but have to also give a cut to the other bands. Plus they order new merch every other night, they have to eat, drink, smoke etc. Bands this popular also take about 6 or 7 extra crew members who they have to feed, and etc, and their tour manager makes at least a 15% cut of what they make. Trust me, on the road, these guys struggle. They have side business's to help them out cause they're broke.

@kushalaslayer You clearly know nothing about the music industry. There's very few bands like this now a days that make a substantial amount of money to be considered well-off. Even 'big' bands like ADTR would fall into this category. They have crew member's to pay, food costs, gas costs (touring in a large bus could cost a grand + a day), etc. They may have a high guarantee pay per show but a lot it would go towards factors like this.

@andrewpark Actually I do, but more important than that I'm part of a technical crew, meaning that with a band you generally get paid my something called a guild, and those are usually employed by the label. Also they go ahead of bands who do big venues. See if you think that they're still slumming it your mistaken. They do 23 shows up till May saying again that they pull 3000 people at 15 dollars the whole cost is about 1,035,000 dollars saying that they only get half that still

As much as I hate saying this, ADTR isn't all that popular. Sure, to the alternative/rock/metal/whatever community, but kids and overall people these days listen to pop, R&B, and rap. Some people might think A Day To Remember is a children's organization or some shit.
