Capra had to cut a scene in the beginning of this film for time... Deeds punches out someone in one of the opening scenes.
Later when prints of this were distributed internationally, Hitler saw it and... loved it! (Weird). Later than that, it was shipped to the USSR in 1950 where the Soviets CUT the last act from the film, leaving Deeds insane and incarcerated in order to indict the American way of life!
Great film; I think we can all learn something from Mr. Deeds. I like the straightforwardness of his character.

Yes,
Frank Capra is one of THE greatest Americans ever.
What a great world he envisioned of us.
And in it's way, he was just being honest and depicting the truth about our people.
