Your first premise about the last trumpet is wrong. 1st Corinthians was written at least 30 years before Revelation. The people Paul was writing to in 1st Corinthians would have said "Hey Paul, exactly which last trumpet were you writing about?". Perry Stone does a real good study on the last trumpet from the Hebraic view point.

I can see why the teaching is so common; you just have to wonder when is that last trump. I hear you, Brian, Elizabeth; As I pour over the scriptures, I can find evidence to support pre-, mid-, even post-trib rapture. As we talked about last night, Brian, I suspect there is reason to believe that God wanted it to remain a mystery so that people will live their lives as though He were coming today. I also think it's key to realize that Rev is not necessarily in sequence. Seems like it sometimes jumps from this scene back to that, etc. I'll share one interesting correlation in my next.

We believe that is judgment of those who were not believers., as Jesus comes back his reward is with him for the believers, so we will have already been judged. If we were not going to be here, there would not need to be a mark to for Satan to distinguish between who follows him and who does not. As Christians, yes we will suffer, but Daniel also says that we will do exploits.
I changed from believing in the Pre Trib Rapture Theory to the Post Trib return of Christ in 1972. Both old Testament and New make sense when you start looking at the Lord's return as ONE EVENT. I no longer have to do mental contortions to get the Scriptures to somehow conform to the Pre Trib theory.

As shocking as it is, about 75% of professing Christians, believe in a PRE trib Rapture.
There's a simple explaination for this. The reason so many people believe in a pre trib rapture is because Satan is that good at deceiving people. He's not called "The Great Deceiver" for nothing. What better way for Satan to create a massive "falling away" from the faith in Jesus Christ, then for a "promised" rapture to never happen?

Once one has the mark of the Beast...we're stuck....So what are your plans if it come sin our lifetime. Did you say you have your own home church? We have the Lord and many true believers will help each other in those times and those appointed by God. You will have to see when the rapture does not happen. It is not a 7 year trib. The last 3 and a half is actually the trib. Daniel says that those who know their God will do exploits. We will truly have to trust in the God that we tell others to trust in.
@Lachance8 I'm questioning the length of the "Great Tribulation." The 7 and 3 1/2 years, are time frames dictated by the Antichrist. It's the Antichrist that makes the 7 year peace treaty and it's The Antichrist who breaks the treaty 3 1/2 years into it.
God is not obligated to honor any amount of time after the Daily Sacrifice is taken away. For all we know, the "Great Tribulation" may last a few weeks, a few months, a few years or more.
The seven days are the years back in Jesus time he had 3& half years of minisrty and was cut off in the midst of the week. at the end of the other 3 and half years was the stoneing of Steven the begining of the gosepel going to the gentiles
You are right their is no rapture until Jesus comes. This idea of a secert rapture came from a Jesuit priest in the 1800s and was taken up by others later. Also the 7 year trib they get from Daniel 9 is not true as well that verse they use is taken out of order.

As a fellow "Called Out One" I believe the Bride will be here during a time of judgment which has already begun and is accelerating. The "Last Trump" as nothing to do with the trumpet judgments in Revelation. Jesus said He will come back and receive His Bride to Himself [at the last trump]. According to Jewish custom a wedding ingagement would be announced with a trumpet [the first trump] The groom would return to his father's house to build an addition to the house for the bride. No one would know the day or hour of the wedding except the father of the groom who would sound the last trump to announce the groom is coming.
From my research I believe that after wormwood has passed and after Earth has passed the galactic plane at the end of 2012, Earth will be a 4th density planet suitable for only those who can sustain that level of consciousness. Therefore your explanation of Zechariah 14:5 may not be correct. Let me provide you with 4 verses to support my understanding that the dead are asleep in the earth. I have heard it preached both ways and it can be difficult to decipher exactley when he will come. It could be to some that at any moment he will come because it says that he will come as a thief in the night. I believe it will be expected by believers as we will know the season of the last days but unbelievers will feel as though christ just came back at any time.

Matthew 24 is the "skeleton" of the literal physical return of Jesus Christ, it is the foundation and cornerstone. All the prophets and apostles are the "meat" that fill in the bones, or support what Jesus said. If you do it the other way around, you get things out of whack.

The rapture is definately a false doctrine. Revelations 7:14 makes it clear that the great crowd comes out of the great tribulation.

What about the verse that says NOONE knows when Jesus will return? Shouldn't we be always ready? Whether is before the tribulation, during, or after it.

Ive never been able to understand how some post-tribbers believe that the 7th trumpet is at end of the Great Tribulation. But aside from all that, the 7th trumpet is never called the Last Trump in Revelation or anywhere else in the Bible.
That is so true, also that is atrumpet blast of Judgement has nothing to do with the rapture.
Another thing they always ignore is the fact that Paul calls these new teachings ... mysteries, if you look that word up it means not known before, the resurecction was known before nothing new, if one studys Paul Mysteries that leads to Pre-Trib Rapture.

Don't they come after the trumpets according to Revelation? Unless we are to assume the seals, trumpets, bowls are actually only 7 events, and not 21...right? Your first premise about the last trumpet is wrong. 1st Corinthians was written at least 30 years before Revelation. The people Paul was writing to in 1st Corinthians would have said "Hey Paul, exactly which last trumpet were you writing about?". Perry Stone does a real good study on the last trumpet from the Hebraic view point.

I can see why the teaching is so common; you just have to wonder when is that last trump. "Go, my people, enter your rooms and shut the doors behind you; hide yourselves for a little while until His wrath has passed by. See, the Lord is coming out of His dwelling to punish the people of the earth for their sins." You can see how some might interpret that as before Armageddon. You?

I hear you, Brian, Elizabeth; As I pour over the scriptures, I can find evidence to support pre-, mid-, even post-trib rapture. As we talked about last night, Brian, I suspect there is reason to believe that God wanted it to remain a mystery so that people will live their lives as though He were coming today. I also think it's key to realize that Rev is not necessarily in sequence. Seems like it sometimes jumps from this scene back to that, etc. I'll share one interesting correlation in my next.

@maxbird2003 The Great White Throne judgment takes place at the very end of the millenium. We believe that is judgment of those who were not believers., as Jesus comes back his reward is with him for the believers, so we will have already been judged. If we were not going to be here, there would not need to be a mark to for Satan to distinguish between who follows him and who does not. As Christians, yes we will suffer, but Daniel also says that we will do exploits.

I changed from believing in the Pre Trib Rapture Theory to the Post Trib return of Christ in 1972. Both old Testament and New make sense when you start looking at the Lord's return as ONE EVENT. I no longer have to do mental contortions to get the Scriptures to somehow conform to the Pre Trib theory.

As shocking as it is, about 75% of professing Christians, believe in a PRE trib Rapture.
There's a simple explaination for this. The reason so many people believe in a pre trib rapture is because Satan is that good at deceiving people. He's not called "The Great Deceiver" for nothing. What better way for Satan to create a massive "falling away" from the faith in Jesus Christ, then for a "promised" rapture to never happen?

One will be taken...one will be left......I've heard the main church is snatched away-out of harm's way---several will convert during the tribulation....those are His remaining people who will be gathered. @Lachance8 I'm questioning the length of the "Great Tribulation." The 7 and 3 1/2 years, are time frames dictated by the Antichrist. It's the Antichrist that makes the 7 year peace treaty and it's The Antichrist who breaks the treaty 3 1/2 years into it.
God is not obligated to honor any amount of time after the Daily Sacrifice is taken away. For all we know, the "Great Tribulation" may last a few weeks, a few months, a few years or more.
God will reveil the truth as we need to know it.

You are right their is no rapture until Jesus comes. This idea of a secert rapture came from a Jesuit priest in the 1800s and was taken up by others later. Also the 7 year trib they get from Daniel 9 is not true as well that verse they use is taken out of order.

As a fellow "Called Out One" I believe the Bride will be here during a time of judgment which has already begun and is accelerating. According to Jewish custom a wedding ingagement would be announced with a trumpet [the first trump] The groom would return to his father's house to build an addition to the house for the bride. Thanks to you both. There is so much plain and simple "marketing" going on with the common view of "end times" , and very little true eschatology. People now hear the mish-mash of a little of this Bible prophecy and a little of that one pieced together and marketed by LaHaye and others, it's no wonder that the unbelievers think that we're nuts! These folks are constructing teachings from the Bible that are not sound at all. They resemble fairy tales not the gospel.

See what you discover if you research the word "mystery" in the Bible. Call it whatever you will, but there will be a major event that will take place at the sounding of the 7th Trumpet. Realize we are now at the 5th Trumpet. Also, research the amount of people that are having visions and dreams of what they call "rapture". Start with "Ken Peters".

Brian, we know that the word of the Lord does not contradict itself. There are many verses that state that dead are asleep in the earth. I believe this to be the truth. Therefore your explanation of Zechariah 14:5 may not be correct. Let me provide you with 4 verses to support my understanding that the dead are asleep in the earth. I have heard it preached both ways and it can be difficult to decipher exactley when he will come. It could be to some that at any moment he will come because it says that he will come as a thief in the night. I believe it will be expected by believers as we will know the season of the last days but unbelievers will feel as though christ just came back at any time.

Matthew 24 is the "skeleton" of the literal physical return of Jesus Christ, it is the foundation and cornerstone. All the prophets and apostles are the "meat" that fill in the bones, or support what Jesus said. If you do it the other way around, you get things out of whack.
There are events that Jesus, Paul, James, Joel, Daniel, John, Zechariah, Zephaniah, and others show that must take place before the church is received in maturity, glory and victory. She will be JUST LIKE HIM. PTL!!!!!

The rapture is definately a false doctrine. Revelations 7:14 makes it clear that the great crowd comes out of the great tribulation.

First of all you need to study what the long hair ment. It does not mean "Hair" at all. There are three little words that many miss in that passage. "because of that angels". It has to do with woman needing a covering because of the angels that came down and slept with them!. God does not care about the length of someones hair. The tribulation coming will be a real trial of peoples faith. Many will lose faith because they thought God was going to take them out before it happened and many will be deceived by the anti-christ, because of this pre-trib teaching. Like I said let agree to disagree. We are more concerned with encouraging people and winning souls right now!

Ive never been able to understand how some post-tribbers believe that the 7th trumpet is at end of the Great Tribulation. But aside from all that, the 7th trumpet is never called the Last Trump in Revelation or anywhere else in the Bible.

Another thing they always ignore is the fact that Paul calls these new teachings ... mysteries, if you look that word up it means not known before, the resurecction was known before nothing new, if one studys Paul Mysteries that leads to Pre-Trib Rapture.

The greatest danger in the Pre-trib (THEORY) is that those who follow this doctrine of devils are automatically deceived because it will be impossible for them to recognize the A.C. because they believe they will be gone before he can be revealed.
