  • These were all ridiculous laws passed first by my local government putting that much more control on everything I do. My local government btw is democrat based but it matters not democrat, republican they are all full of ideas they want passed. I can get my wife pregnant tomorrow and have it sucked out of her 6 weeks later, but I can't ride my bicycle down the street without a helmut, or smoke in a bar, how ridiculous is that?

  • 4 books you and l should focus on by conservative men are "The Manifesto" by Ron Paul, "What happened" by Scott McClellan, "Waging Peace" by Scott Ritter and "The Conscience of a Conservative" by Barry Goldwater. Once again, we may have our disagreements, but l still appreciate your service to our country, thank you.

  • If not wearing a helmut while riding a bicycle my local representative passed a law stating you can recieve a ticket. How nice. Now children have to be in booster seats till their like 10 or a mutant like tall 4'11" younger child.

  • Anyways my point is.. every president is bound to make a or possibly many huge mistakes we are bound to this overwhelming fact and your local government can trample a man's freedom just as quickly as your president can and they do so constantly. I can vote at 18 join the military but i can't drink nor can you smoke in bars.

  • Bush SR- Couldn't find too much here but the fact that he had raised taxes (as the democrats wanted however he had promised not to so he alienated himself there) and people thought he hadn't ended the war in the Gulf properly this plus he pardoned a number of people involved in the Iran Contra scandal.

  • Clinton- Somalia, the raid was a disaster killing and wounding many, the bombing of Yugoslavia which killed civilians, supporting the KLA with equipment and training which was a terrorist group which went on to commit crimes against civilians as well as war crimes. Ignoring the Rwanda Genocide while close to a million people were butchered. The Lewinsky trial was the real kicker for him though, nothing quite like a man trying to avoid punishment by debating the definition of the word "is".

  • Here are a list of our presidents and embarrassing/horrible ideas that have either gotten people killed or embarrassed our nation as a whole.

Bush (current)- Iraq war- not the worst idea ever to remove a dictator who killed hundreds of thousands and committed crimes against humanity however it is seen as a disgrace. Katrina -(which I believe was a fuck up at both the state and federal level)

  • Another good book to check out by another Conservative Republican is "Iraq Confidential by Scott Ritter and also his rather new book "Target Iran"

  • Kevin...to good books l recommend for you are "What Happened" by Scott McClellan and "A Manifesto" by Ron Paul two books by rather Conservative men from Texas, like Bush coincidentally. What disappoints me is that Bush demoted Richard Clarke who contained knowledge that Bin Laden was determined to use planes to hit the US. In my opinion, both presidents deserve blame, but Clinton is not off the hook.

  • How is this video relevant to Iraq? Dick Cheney was the one to say that Saddam was not worth any dead Americans during the Clinton presidency. And how could anybody trust a president who sat on his ass for 7 minutes and read a book after discovering we were under attack. Just remember if it wasn't for Ronald Reagan, none of us would have heard of Osama Bin Laden.

  • Just remember if it wasn't for Ronald Reagan, none of us would have heard of Osama Bin Laden.

Just remember if it weren't for Kennedy we would never have heard of Saddam Hussein.

  • And how could anybody trust a president who sat on his ass for 7 minutes and read a book after discovering we were under attack.

The same way we could trust a president who led us into disaster in Somalia, and then stood idly by and did nothing while genocide occurred in Rwhanda killing hundred's of thousands, then had previous knowledge of Bin Laden and his ideas and did nothing (Bill Clinton).

  • Just for the heads up: Stewart Air Base had received an intelligence report the weekend prior to 9/11 and no action was taken; there's time for some accountability in this current administration as well as the Clinton administration.

  • Well it's been 7 years since and we still haven't captured Osama Bin Laden so it's unsafe to say that Bush has done such a "good job." and remember, Bush was the one who won the election in 2000 by running an anti-war campaign.

  • Well it's been 7 years since and we still haven't captured Osama Bin Laden

It's also been 7 years and we haven't had an attack on US soil since then either so I would say he's doing just fine in this aspect while other nations all over the world are having problems with bombings and terrorism.

  • Iraq: How much longer?

  • Until it stabilizes however with Arabs being the way that they are, stability just is not in their language, however if you ask the question to the candidates they both say the same thing. They both say that when the country stabilizes they will pull troops out.

  • With an $80 billion surplus they really need to step up soon to defend THEIR country.

  • While true, they also have tribes which don't trust each other and would rather murder one another rather than sit across a table and talk out their differences. This makes a timetable impossible much like both candidates have now stated. In the current situation what would you offer out as a recommendation that the US do?

  • It's going to require a lot of diplomacy, but we can't keep funding the war. You should check out Scott McClellan's book.

  • If we stop funding then we have to pull out, if we pull out now before Iraq is fully ready we will face a militant take over more than likely. This could spell to more terrorist attacks on America as people will feel that the following civil wars and deaths will be our fault, for leaving them without first stabalizing them.

  • What does one thing have to do with the other. This war if anything has made us less safe because the US has lost credibility by going into Iraq. How does staying in Iraq relevant to stopping an attack when al-qaeda exists in 60 nations around the world. And remember in '93 with Somalia McCain voted to cut off the funding? How is Iraq any different from Somalia?

  • What does one thing have to do with the other.

We supported the Tali ban during the incursion by the Soviets however left them high and dry when it came to stabilization and rebuilding. So they hit us with 9/11 the saying that goes well with this is that those who do not learn from the past are bound to repeat it.

This war if anything has made us less safe because the US has lost credibility by going into Iraq.

No terrorist attacks in 7 years, while the rest of the world... not so lucky.

  • The issue in Iraq is not terrorism its to get Sunnis/Shias to get along which is impossible. That's the issue...even Petreaus said the issue was nnot al-qaeda. And Iraq was sovereign prior to our arrival by the way; and this "enemy" we are fighting could not have existed without the help of Ronal Reagan.

One last question: how many of the 19 hijackers were from Iraq?

  • How does staying in Iraq relevant to stopping an attack when al-qaeda exists in 60 nations around the world.

We risk expanding or causing the formation of more terrorist organizations through a hasty withdrawal.

  • And remember in '93 with Somalia McCain voted to cut off the funding? How is Iraq any different from Somalia?

Somalia and Iraq are vastly different the GDP of Somalia is $5.575 billion 153rd in the world while Iraq's GDP is $102.3 billion 61st, this makes it a much more dangerous country due to its vast ability, monetarily to support terrorists and their organizations, and equip them thusly with weapons that would be far superior to those of a nation like Somalia, so money is the difference.

  • By stating in Iraq we are delaying the inevitable. BIran has benefited significantly with our invasion of Iraq, because it makes it easier to kill Americans. A good book for you to read is "What Happened" by Scott McClellan.

  • This is not meant to be an attack but if you believe it's a good to stay in Iraq, I highly recommend you enlist if you haven't already. It's immoral for me a 19 year old to not enlist and tell others to fight in my place. And I don't by the myth that troops are dying for freedom because are 1st Amendment rights are in jeopardy under this administration.

  • This is not meant to be an attack but if you believe it's a good to stay in Iraq, I highly recommend you enlist if you haven't already.

I put in 6 years, Army 96 Romeo or GSR, Ground Surveillance Radar me and my friend went in together, I came back.

And I don't by the myth that troops are dying for freedom because are 1st Amendment rights are in jeopardy under this administration.

I don't have to worry about that when you can't even smoke in a bar in my town due to local nutjubs like Hillary.

  • Well Kevin, although we don't agree, l still respect you for your service. But just remember, that Reagan gave a huge amount of power to Saddam, and we make this big hero out of him. We went into Somalia under Bush Sr. and Clinton was the one who should not have waited to get us out of there, but Iraq is basically the same thing. Disaster is awaiting, it's only a matter of time. Again, although we can't agree don't take any of our disagreements personal because l still respect you 4 your service

  • Reagan gave a huge amount of power to Saddam.

Saddam would not have been in power at all if not for Kennedy.

Again, although we can't agree don't take any of our disagreements personal because l still respect you 4 your service.

You haven't done anything disrespectful and I and I am fully enjoying this debate.

My point to you would be this every president has had something happen in their foreign relations that many don't agree with and some debate whether or not it is even ethical.

  • A major problem is that Iraq does not have the capacity to allocate the money without it being wasted or pocketed by corrupt officials.

  • pfg999:

    "The bottom line" 1/3

CBS Terror Expert, Iraq War Critic and former head of CIA 'hunting Bin Laden' division, on CBS Early Show

Harry Smith: Let's talk about what President Clinton had to say on Fox yesterday. He basically laid blame at the feet of the CIA and the FBI for not being able to certify or verify that Osama bin Laden was responsible for a number of different attacks. Does that ring true to you?"

  • "The bottom line" 2/3

Michael Scheuer: "No, sir, I don't think so. The president seems to be able, the former president seems to be able to deny facts with impunity. Bin Laden is alive today because Mr. Clinton, Mr. Sandy Berger, and Mr. Richard Clarke refused to kill him. That's the bottom line. And every time he says what he said to Chris Wallace on Fox, he defames the CIA especially, and the men and women who risk their lives to give his administration repeated chances to kill bin Laden."

  • "The bottom line" 3/3

Smith: "Is the Bush administration any less responsible for not finishing the job in Tora Bora?"

Scheuer: "Oh, I think there's plenty of blame to go around, sir, but the fact of the matter is that the Bush Administration had 1 chance that they botched, and the Clinton Administration had 8-10 chances that they refused to try. At least at Tora Bora our forces were on the ground. We didn't push the point.

  • "the bottom line" -conclusion

Scheuer: But it's just, it's an incredible kind of situation for the American people over the weekend to hear their former president mislead them.

    My comment:

The clintons are self-serving liars. Psychopaths. They put the country at risk for reasons of self-aggrandizement, power, and self-enrichment.

We return the reins of power to these 2 miscreants at our own peril. And that of our kids. We will not survive another clinton. (We may yet not survive the first.)

  • pfg999 1/2:

Your arguments are absurd. Of course clinton knew about al Qaeda. Bin Laden began declaring war against America and committing acts of war against America, beginning in the early to mid-90s, during the clintons' tenure.

  • pfg999 2/2:

Instead of understanding/acknowledging that we were perforce at war (a terrorist war requires only 1 consenting player), clinton conveniently declared the acts 'crimes,' thereby burying the data by setting up a wall between the CIA + the FBI + the courts, which ensured his inaction, + protected his poll numbers AND 'his' future Nobel Peace Prize-(check out no less than Albright's comment on this made during the cabinet meeting that was to decide the disposition of the Cole bombing.)

  • Albright revelation 1/3:

The Albright revelation occurred at the cabinet meeting that would decide the disposition of the USS Cole bombing by al Qaeda [that is to say, that would decide to do what it had always done when a "bimbo" was not spilling the beans on the clintons: Nothing]. Only Clarke wanted to retaliate militarily for this unambiguous act of war.

  • Albright revelation 2/3:

Albright explained that a [sham] Mideast accord would yield [if not peace for the principals, surely] a Nobel Peace Prize for clinton. Kill or capture bin Laden and clinton could kiss the 'accord' and the Peace Prize good-bye.

  • Albright revelation 3/3:

If clinton liberalism, smallness, cowardice, corruption, perfidy--and, to borrow a phrase from Andrew Cuomo, clinton cluelessness--played a part, it was, in the end, the Nobel Peace Prize that produced the puerile pertinacity that enabled the clintons to shrug off terrorism's global danger.

  • With all the intel that was put in front of Condi Rice and Bush were wide awake and staring at the switch.

And by the way ClintonS? So can we also blame Laura for all of her husbands policy fiascos? Cool.

  • WHO CARES

  • Who r u to judge u righteous pig! Judge not that u be not judged.

  • Bush was in charge of defending our country when they attacked. I think we had too many troops in Kuwait at the time. We are just as vulnerable if not more today.

  • Bin Laden began planning 9/11 in 1998, under the clintons' watch. He had been enboldened by the clintons' repeated and continual surrender, i.e., by the clintons' utter failure to EVEN ACKNOWLEDGE, NEVER MIND DEFEND AGAINST his repeated acts of war and declarations of war.

Anyone advocating the return of these 2 dangerous defectives is grossly uninformed, in denial, or, quite frankly, nuts.

  • I am no Clinton apologist. Her certainly bears his share of blame.

But the problem with laying all the blame for 9/11 on Clinton is that the incoming Bush Administration Already Knew all of Clinton's history when they entered office in January 2001-including the fact that Bin Laden was still at large-and yet Bush did NOT believe that Clinton's history warranted any immediate action to correct.

Hindsight is a wonderful thing, isn't it?

  • yvan03

" I am no Clinton apologist. Her certainly bears his share of blame.

But the problem with laying all the blame for 9/11 on Clinton is that the incoming Bush Administration Already Knew all of Clinton's history when they entered office in January 2001"

That analysis is too objective for some of the readers who have already decided to blame Clinton for everything under the sun. With regard to destroying al Qaeda pre-911: Clinton tried and failed; Bush failed to try.

  • miat111

"Bin Laden began planning 9/11 in 1998, under the clintons' watch."

The planning continued and came to fruition for 8 months of Bush's watch, because Bush was busy planning Iraq. Bush/Cheney/Rice etc all felt that Clinton spent TOO MUCH time on al Qaeda when they took over in Jan. 2001. Clinton left detailed plans on attacking al Qaeda and left the best man to do the job in Richard Clarke, who was in charge at the White House on 911 coordinating our nations immediate response.

  • Turn off your television.

Research FEMA and the 800 prison camps across America. Also google Pam Shuffert. There you will learn about the prisoner boxcars with modern day guillotines and shackles in them.

They are spraying us with harmful chemicals and are planning a mass genocide in this country. There are already 2 million FOREIGN troops on our soil. Every single president since Kennedy has been in the back pocket of the Vatican The info is all there. Irrefutable.

  • WTF? This video only proves Clinton's total superiority over Bush. Bush and his repug cohorts in congress were responsible for turning Clinton's surplus into a massive deficit that my great-grandkids will have to pay for in order to finance his imaginary war against Al Qaeda in the wrong freakin country. The lies and deceit from Bush and his neocon warmonger cronies is what got into this disaster in Iraq.

  • You obviously miss the point. See my 4-part comment, below.

And as for clinton's 'surplus,' you neglect to factor in clinton cooked books, and even more important, the ultimate cost to the country of the clintons ignoring the War on Terror for 8 long years.

  • B.C. surplus myth: national debt deficit FY1994 4.69trillion 281.3billion FY1995 4.97trillion 281.2billion FY1996 5.22trillion 251billion FY1997 5.41trillion 188billion FY1998 5.52trillion 113billion FY1999 5.65trillion 130billion FY2000 5.67trillion 17.1billion FY2001 5.81trillion 133.3billion

  • Interesting that you chose to stop at FY2001.

National Debt on January 28: $9,198,851,207,967.63.

    Heck of a job, GW!

  • Bottom line: clinton never had a surplus. The national debt INCREASED every year clinton was in office. He also spent the lowest %GDP on defense of any president since WWII. So now we're fighting a war that's more expensive in blood and treasure directly beacause of clinton. What makes you think the world will be graced with "your grandkids?" There already exists too much diminished intellect.

  • Thanks for the kind words regarding my grandkids. But I guess that's to be expected from ignorant Bushite sheep. Reality is that Bush and his minions made at least 935 false statements in the two years following September 11, 2001, about the national security threat posed by Saddam Hussein's Iraq.

And the fact remains that President Bill Clinton left office in 2001 with a federal budget surplus of $127 billion.

  • You just proved my initial point with your blackgaurd remark. You further bolster my point with your reference of regurgitated "Waxman report" propaganda. Finally, your ignorance is complete on this mark: clinton left Bush with a $132 billion dollar deficit. That's a fact!

  • You need to take a deep breadth and calm down and do some research before spouting your hateful remarks. Try checking out the Center for Public Integrity. It's a nonprofit, non-partisan organization. Do yourself a favor and educate yourself by studying issues from various sources. Please don't rely on the mainstream media and ESPECIALLY not youtube for factual info. People can easily present facts taken out of context, and manipulate/massage numbers to suit their own personal agenda.

  • C.P.I. is NOT a non-partisan organization. Much of its funding comes from George Soros. Perhaps you need to find better research sources. Also if you go to TeasuryDirect you will find the details of clinton's surplus myth. Have a nice day.

  • boooooooooring

  • An hour after we knew terrorist were crashing planes into buildings, some sleeping administration let a known hijacked aircraft fly a circle through the 'most secured' airspace in the world and crash it into the center of our defense. That is what I call asleep!

After we bankrupt this country fighting in Iraq, al-Qaeda will walk in and buy our businesses for pennies - because the same people are also asleep at the financial wheel.

  • An hour after we knew it was hijacked and hijackers were flying planes into buildings, who let a big jet fly over our most controlled airspace and crash it into the CENTER of our defense?!?! Someone needs to re-evaluate who is asleep.

After we bankrupt this country, al-Qaeda will walk in and buy your company - cause the same people are also asleep at the financial wheel of this country.

  • 1/3

Bush is irrelevant. "Asleep at the switch' is not a relative construct.

Actually, I was being kind. The lovely couple was in a self-induced coma.

The clintons failed willfully at a president's only charge: to protect and defend the country and the Constitution.

  • 2/3

The terrorists declared war on America and committed acts of war against America throughout the clintons' tenure and the clintons did nothing.

The clintons were too stupid to understand, or too self-serving to acknowledge, that a terrorist war requires only one consenting player: When a terrorist declares war on you and commits acts of war against you, you are perforce at war.

  • 3/3

You have 2 options: Fight or surrender. For 8 years, the clintons surrendered, allowing an incipient, still-stoppable al Qaeda and its threat to grow exponentially.

We put these 2 miscreants back in power at our own peril. And that of our kids. We will not survive another clinton. (Indeed, we may yet not survive the 1st.)

  • P.S.

The clintons were self-serving pigs when they were in the WH, and they are self-serving pigs today.

Indeed, look what they are doing to the Democratic Party--and the country--RIGHT NOW.

They are polarizing the races and destroying the Democratic party/coalition in order to amass more power.

Good people of all races must reject these 2 defectives.

  • I don't disagree with you about the Clintons.

But in regard to fight or surrender and 911, three jets following normal protocols was all the fight we needed. We are spending trillions to make up for that gross negligence of national security.

It comes down to if you care more about Iraqs borders or our own. Bring the troops home, fight in a way that won't bankrupt the country.

  • 1/2

The need to retaliate didn't turn on whether the attack had succeeded or failed. Either way, a competent, responsible president would have retaliated: The attack was an act of war committed on American soil.

  • 2/2

Unlike the clintons, who are neither competent nor responsible. When the same terrorists attacked the same building in 1993 (the first attack on American soil since Pearl Harbor), the clintons did nothing. And they continued to do nothing with each new attack, with each new declaration of war.

Gross negligence is a perfect characterization of the clinton 'presidency.'

We would be nuts to put these 2 defectives back in the Oval Office.

  • miat1111

Your claim that Clinton did nothing is contradicted by Richard Clarke (who worked for Reagan/Bush Sr./Clinton/Bush jr). The FIRST attack on the WTC in Feb 1993 was one month after Clinton took office at a time when al Qaeda was not even known to exist. It's SO easy to revise history to suit one's own needs. The only person who truly did nothing was Bush for the 8 months preceding 911, and even 2 months AFTER because he was hell bent on attacking Iraq.

  • Say no to Billary!

    Say no to Clinton dynasty!

    Say yes to change!

  • No Hitlary for 2008! Ron Paul 2008 (and when he doesn't get the nomination), Romney 2008!!!

  • Never forget.

HilLIEry Clinton is a lying sycophant who will do and say anything to anyone to achieve her evil goals of capturing power to achieve her Marxist goals.

She needs professional help for her lack of character and sick lying behavior. She's co-dependent, and an abusive enabler.

The serial lying abuser Sicko Willy was tolerated, enabled and encouraged by this pathetic woman.

She is an empty hollow barren woman.
