guy in red can improve by tossing the ball a little bit higher and more into the court. that will allow him to coil and load all his weight on his left foot and really explode up and into the court, then he will land with his left foot a bit more into the court. compared to just drifting to the left and not into the court.
how many foot faults does this guy need to do if i was playing him i would totally call him up on that. Which is something that sadly not a lot of people look out for in a game of tennis but should
wow these guys service motions are horrible. the guy in red shorts lifts up his right leg and moves to the left falling down...you are suppose to jump with both feet forward so that your right foot lands inside the baseline, not sideways!!
Man my serve sucks so bad in this video... I posted a new vid in response, if you want to see my improvement. I also have a video of me getting beat by this guy lol
thing is in a match you can clearly see what serve will come at you by looking at how he tosses it, too easy to expect. Decent players can do all spins with one and same toss that never changes.
pretty good. i noticed that you have the ability to place some of your serves almost near the lines out wide. not only do you have decent speed but you seem to be able to place them. keep working on placing them near those lines, if u could do that, ud move up like 2 levels, seriously.
u gotta admit the third person has a good twist and if he stands in that corner and kicks u one its ure ass but. u have a good one hand backhand you will own him
u need Polyester string man. i used to have rough string like urs. now when i go back and use those rough string i feel the pain in my ear the string is tooo noisy. maybe you prefer the rough string it feels better on topspin. but Polyester is more controled
first person has an excellent powerful flat serve. but does it go in at least 20% of the time? if not then your serves are not bad just need better consistency.
do u just stand on the corner because of ur just serving?...cause in a match...if u stand in the corner and serve... oppoent returns to the other side..and meanwhile ur still trying to get control on ur feet,,,u gonna lose pretty badly..
The guy who serves at the end (even though he has the signifigantly better serves of the two) fails at kick serves on the ad court. For one, ZERO DISGUISE! Second, lack of consistency. Third, lack of adequate spin to generate some serious action on the ball. And finally, lack of angle on the ball, EVEN WHEN HE'S SERVING FROM THE SINGLES CORNER! Aim for the sideline, not the corner. You get way more action and angle, and you don't even have to change where you serve from, which is the best part!
ur serves are decent just dont open ur shoulders too early when u serve and no ur toss is not too low if u can get it in that low u can generate a loooot of power
It doesn't matter, it's actually a bit more effective with a lower toss since it's earlier. If you watch how people wait til the ball comes down then the opponent has enough time to see where the ball is going. It's a opinionated question, whether or not you toss high or low.
a twist is the same thing as a kick serve you know. a twist is just what they call it in japan.Eventually it spread through all over the world, and now ppl think they are 2 diffrent serves. kick=twist.
A kick is sepaerate from a twist. A kick can be hit with no swerve and kick staight up at the opponent ie heavy topspin. A twist his hit with top and side so the ball will swerve from (if righthanded) right to left and then kick back to the right side
It might help your balance/timing to develop a longer "ritual" before you serve and slow down a little; my coach would always tell me to slow down. And maybe you should simplify your serve choices. The way I see it, you either hit slice, flat, or kick. There is almost no way that you're going to put only sidespin on a serve consistently unless you have the skill of a high-ranked ATP player. Either put some topspin and sidespin (kick), backspin and sidespin (slice), or no spin (flat).
the 2nd guy looks like he uses a lot of arm.. and then the last guy just had no balance after his serves.. but it shouldn't matter on rushing to the ball when you serve.. just as long as you contribute your pronation.
yeah, but his form still doesn't look "good". The main thing though, like you implied, is whether it is effective or not and won't do long term injury. I don't know whether that form is good for your body, but if it's worked for a long time and you've had no shoulder, elbow, knee, or back problems, it's probably ok. Just be careful because anything not in the normal form has a risk of causing longterm injury. But then everyone said Roddick would hurt his elbow and he hasn't so far, so...
the serves are good considering speed and I guess consistency, but the "kick" and "Top spin" is a pathetic excuse >.>
Just sayin'
