THIS IS GREAT, i WAS WITH THE 81ST WHEN WE MOVED FROM MOSES LAKE TO RAF Bentwaters, left in 1955; Returned in 1970 was in the Fire Dept, retired from Bentwaters in 1974. Went their with 3 stripes left in 74 as Wing fire chief wonderful bentwaters.lovely vidows
omg what a flashback; was there from 87-91, (one of the dj's from the nco club-use to help lady ice spin her music) anybody remember the gas rations and the tv tax?
I was there with my family (I'm an ex-airforce brat) from 1965 through 1969. We used to hit the gas station before heading off for off-base excursions (Felixstowe, Ipswich, Norwich, Thorpeness, Cambridge, Orford, Framlingham, etc...). Brings back memories. Thanks!
Man this brings back some memories.I was a Air Force brat 77-82 and again in 84-88 at Bentwaters/Woodbridge and grew up my best years there.Dad teached me to shoot pool at the Rec center and can still remember waiting in line at gas station when gas was rationed in the 70's....AWSOME!!!!

A majority of this drive on the civilian side of RAF Bentwaters no longer exists. It's just houses now.
Cheers!

You would NOT recognise the place now! That goes for Bentwaters and RAF Woodbridge. Damn shame. Thanks for sharing the vids!
