the touchpad volume control on the speaker itself doesn't look so sensitive

@zombie766 it is pretty sensitive ... I was just getting used to it and fat fingering the touchpad.... just a light touch with the tip of the finger is all that's needed

@williamstart123456 well ... a few reasons I did not. 1) The idea in going with BT connectivity was to avoid wires, docking etc. 2) And perhaps most importantly the speaker dock is for an iPod or iPhone and docks securely via the BT adapter shown on the iPod in the video. The BT adapter will plug into the iPad, it's the standard Apple 30 pin connector, but is redundant since the iPad has built in BT. Also, the iPad is too large to mount securely & could easily tip over breaking the connector.

@creativestores No worries! It's a great speaker! The poor audio recording quality of the Droid doesn't provide clear highs/lows and deep base but I wanted to show everyone how easy it was to stream via bluetooth and the range in which you can stream. Great product!
