kidd could pass the ball to terry becasue he was already on the other side when he caught it. But if terry caught the ball on dallas's side and then crossed the line with the ball onto utahs side, then that would be back court violation. but because he crossed the line before he caught it, it wasn't a violation.

I remember the FIBA Rules, and here in Germany you aren´t allowed to pass in the backcourt if you are standing in the front court or "not in the backcourt or on the middle line"

In germany its so simple, if you crossed the middle line, and a fould or what ever happens, you cannot pass or go in the backcourt what so ever.

And there is no possibility to take a time out in the front court.

Cause you can only take a time out, if the ball is "dead". Or in the last 2 min of the fourth after your opponent scored a bucket.

And THEN! You have to pass the Ball from the middle line! In this situation you can pass back!
