@SweetHighNotes Exactly! This man, this guy manages to convey an infinite sweetness. And I can not stop crying. But I'm also happy because I know that now he can see how much we love him, is no longer alone.
@topplayer100 Yeah, and this was his own recording company. How come when he went to Sweden, the Netherlands, etc., they could spell his name right but they couldn't manage it here?
I read somewhere he got particularly drunk with friends the night before. What a talent. So handsome, so boyish and, yet, so tough. A hero, a liberator. Mozart and Van Gogh died in their 30s, too.
@JackieFuckedup It sounds earily familiar doesn't it? You can swear to god you've heard it before but just cant place it. Thats how I felt the first time too. I was like, "Fuck, Where have I heard that before?" You know what though, I think its something you hear the beatles play in revolution 9 off the white album. Imma check right now...
@JackieFuckedup Almost. If you play revolution 9, and fastforward 3 minutes into it, you hear something played that sounds very much like it. So yeah, I think that could of been it. At least, thats the closest thing I could think of. Check it out and tell me what you think.
Ok question.. Why is his name so commonly mispelled? It was spelt as "elliot" in this video, the miss misery music video and his "suicide note" (which because his name was mispelt on the note makes people think it could be a murder)
@JULIAtalk actually, as much as i hate to say it, im pretty sure the coroner is the one that mispelled his name when copying the note into his report...but i still hope for the best..because the 1st thing i want in heaven is an elliotT concert
i love seeing comments about elliott's impact on everyone..on one hand, we can't help but smile at this, making us happy..and on the other hand, it's so sad realizing that he is no longer with us, that such a great artisit would leave this world in an isntant..personally, when i watched it, i was smiling throughout the video, but when it ended, i remembered how he no longer is here with us..hope he's having fun moonwalking in heaven
I'm so happy I found this video. It just shows he has a very quiet nature and that's fine a lot of people do! He still acts silly at times too. I miss you so much my man.
I feel really sad when I watch stuff like this... showing him as so human. It just reminds me of what a tragedy it is that he's gone.
His music is such a mixed blessing, I love that I have it, but at the same time it always makes me sad and I feel like I've lost him personally. It almost sometimes makes you feel like he musn't really be dead. Not really. It's hard to explain, and it sounds really soppy and over-involved, but there must be so many other people who feel exactly the same way.
@Nathaley92 I can actually relate to the way you feel. Elliott was such an amazing human being... He has inspired me in so many ways that I cannot get over the fact that he won't be with us anymore... it's just so sad.
@kalli199 They can both be found among Grand Mal, a collection of rare studio songs, just google it. Figure 8 can also be found on the Son of Sam single and the Place Pigalle demos.
@ertwyu He was unpredictable, sometimes incomprehensible, but always a genius. He enjoyed the exploration of ideas, the creative process, but could be temperamental.
alright so when he's playing piano on what looks like a fender rhodes and he scoots over to the yellow one... what kind is that! it sounds soooo good.
My favorite artist.....you can hear the undertone of sadness and even depression in alot of his songs....but there just so good--such a talent....such a tradegy. He will be missed.
hahaha...he's my favorite dead homo. allbeit the least talented of the dead homos but if i were some yuppie scumbag ad. guy for head n shoulders shampoo i'd market his head on the cover and put a surgeon general's warning that being greasy kills...hahahaha
