  • Its not a belt is part of the sewing she did. Love the skirt:)

  • Sooo want that belt!!!

  • Where did you get the belt? It is gorgeous :D

  • Wow, you're very skilled! I've been a self taught designing student for a few years because I haven't taken any courses of my major yet, which is fashion design also. But I'm thinking I should go with fashion merchandise instead, may be a little easier.

  • thanks for posting, I really enjoyed watching!

  • Can elastic thread be used in a standard sewing machine from home or do you have to use an industrial, or a specific presser foot?

  • actually, now you can buy pre shirred fabric, count out the rows and add a row or two if you need it

  • i gots a question : fr any high waisted skirts, do u use some sort of band at the top of the skirt r watnot so that u can actually wear the skirt?

  • i wanna know how u stich the elastic band in the fabric can u also have a video of that t.y

  • Which type of elastic do you use? I've tried with several types, but found that the results are only good with gütermann's elasticthread. Maybe some of my settings are wrong when using the other ones with slightly weaker elastic... What do you think?

  • how do you shirr??

  • you are such an inspiration. you are one of my role models and i hope id get to have my own online store. :) all your designs match my own personal style. if only i had the money you buy all your products on your website... ah well. :)

  • i will try doing this in the future; so rad. ;D

  • beautiful and classy but i wouldnt consider it victorian because of the length. very well done though. maybe a change in the title to victorian inspired or something like that so it isnt misleading. i love your work. keep posting please!!! :)

  • @hide1521 haha I know what u mean about misleading..that's why i always have a photo of my project up before hand...I'll definitely change the title ...ty!

  • @SecretLifeOfaBioNerd Um...its been a year...I think you can change it now lol. jkjk, love the skirt.(:

  • Are you using a straight stitch for everything? If so, do you ever find that your thread breaks when wearing/removing? If not, what kind of stitch are you using in each step? Thanks:)

  • @Aloywischus straight stitch, shirring is using elastic thread underneath, you can find shirring videos on you-tube.

  • can you show us how to make a cardigan. the kind that stays open with no buttons and is long and flowy in the front. thanks :)

  • @shannabanona08 A fly-away cardigan, I think? :]

  • i like this song...ill buy their album!

  • so for the rectangle part if im 24 inch waist would i mkae it 48 inches long?

  • @zexycutiepie411

It all depends on where you get your fabric. You can make things look like stuff you see going for $30 and only make it for under $10. I always buy clearance/sale fabric from Jo-ann Fabrics. I also raid thrift store clothes for potential fabric.

  • how do you do the shirring?

  • you can do it with the sewing machine.

just put that instead of the thread. and do a really tight stitch.

  • !! i love your videos !!! so cute and inspiring ^^ thanks .

  • I HAVE A QUESTION TO EVERYONE!!!

Is makeing clothes cheaper than buying them?

My whole life I wanted to be a clothes designer but then y mom told me that you can buy the clothes in a thieft store or something and that reslly got to me so is it worth it?I love to sew but if i waste more money this way then idk

  • @zexycutiepie411 yes its cheaper, think of all those old clothes and other fabrics you run into for free. the money waste comes in relying on patterns. Better to develop a free eye and just create.

  • @zexycutiepie411 Usually.A skirt like this would cost you anything from $15-$30.Making it probably costs $5-$10 depending where you get your fabric. And you wouldn't be able to find it in a thrift store.I'd say as a whole, considering the difficulty of the things you can make, if you make it right it's cheaper. But if it's something like a simple skirt thats just elastic in a folded square or something like that then it'd be cheaper just to buy it.Anything more elaborate is totally worth making.

  • where do you buy fabric

  • do a tutorial for your hair!!!!

  • Your hair look gorgeous..may u do tutorial on it?

  • Hi - If you mean the ponytail, I think she did do a tutorial. Check out here "How To Style: Elegant fish tail Braid" video. =]

  • i love all your patterns and sewing tutorials and i know how to sew its just that i cant afford material!!!

  • I know me too. sad sad.

  • you sew the coolest things.

  • ur videos inspired me to ask my mom to teach me how to use the sweing machine xD

  • What size was this skirt meant for? Just so I can get an idea of how much material I would need to buy for myself, you are thin which I'm not. ;-)

  • thank you, so great !

so i reaaallly like the belt. haha.

  • I love the skirt!!

  • i have a question how did u learn to sew and when did u start to sew by your own??

  • Very cute. Now that I have a running sewing machine I might try this out : )

  • Omg..I've tried every single tutorial of yourz and the stuff i did look amazing.. i mean, i never knew i could such things...You just made me save 100$...Thnx, A LOT!! :)

  • WHOLY i sooo wish i was that good at sewing!!

  • hi..!

you have inspiratet me very much..

thank you for your good and cute vids, but can you please explain how you made the ruffles..? i don't understand how u make the ruffles with an elastic... it would be very nice, if you could make a tutorial.. thnx.. (sry my bad english)..

    greetings from Austria..

    mOni..

  • @monieyyhel the same as her ^^

  • lovin lovin lovin lovin

  • Soo cute :D<3

  • awesome!

  • A bit too brief, wish you had a website too.

    Great look though.

  • @Golden121GAZE in description box there is a link that can help you. I answer my questions there... I don't know how much more detailed I can be, I recorded every step I did. It's a simple skirt that simply look amazing! Any suggestions would go great in the forum..for future tutorials as well as explanation! Good luck!

  • omg yourr gorgeous!

  • You put on a separate belt over the waistband right? Did you make that too, or is that a piece you bought? It looks really pretty with it, I'm afraid the skirt wouldn't look the same without something like it. =\

  • u cud just take a gold fairly thick ribbon, tie it into a bow and put some kind of pretty brooche [ or hair accesory ] in the center of the bow n it wud look similar to her belt :)

  • @BabyMissa I don't like it when someone tries to make the "exact" same thing as me......use your creativity to make something better than what I have posted up. If you don't have this belt I am sure you have a belt in your closet that will look great as well!! Good luck!

  • Then I guess that means you did make it lol

I didn't ever ask how to make that belt. I was just curious because I originally thought it was PART of the skirt because of the picture :P

  • Amazing!!! i love everything u do i hope u do some more soon :)

  • its CRAAAAAAZY!
