Wow, you're very skilled! I've been a self taught designing student for a few years because I haven't taken any courses of my major yet, which is fashion design also. But I'm thinking I should go with fashion merchandise instead, may be a little easier.

Which type of elastic do you use? I've tried with several types, but found that the results are only good with gütermann's elasticthread. Maybe some of my settings are wrong when using the other ones with slightly weaker elastic... What do you think?
you are such an inspiration. you are one of my role models and i hope id get to have my own online store. :) all your designs match my own personal style. if only i had the money you buy all your products on your website... ah well. :)
beautiful and classy but i wouldnt consider it victorian because of the length. very well done though. maybe a change in the title to victorian inspired or something like that so it isnt misleading. i love your work. keep posting please!!! :)
@hide1521 haha I know what u mean about misleading..that's why i always have a photo of my project up before hand...I'll definitely change the title ...ty!
Are you using a straight stitch for everything? If so, do you ever find that your thread breaks when wearing/removing? If not, what kind of stitch are you using in each step? Thanks:)
It all depends on where you get your fabric. You can make things look like stuff you see going for $30 and only make it for under $10. I always buy clearance/sale fabric from Jo-ann Fabrics. I also raid thrift store clothes for potential fabric.
My whole life I wanted to be a clothes designer but then y mom told me that you can buy the clothes in a thieft store or something and that reslly got to me so is it worth it?I love to sew but if i waste more money this way then idk
@zexycutiepie411 yes its cheaper, think of all those old clothes and other fabrics you run into for free. the money waste comes in relying on patterns. Better to develop a free eye and just create.
@zexycutiepie411 Usually.A skirt like this would cost you anything from $15-$30.Making it probably costs $5-$10 depending where you get your fabric. And you wouldn't be able to find it in a thrift store.I'd say as a whole, considering the difficulty of the things you can make, if you make it right it's cheaper. But if it's something like a simple skirt thats just elastic in a folded square or something like that then it'd be cheaper just to buy it.Anything more elaborate is totally worth making.
Omg..I've tried every single tutorial of yourz and the stuff i did look amazing.. i mean, i never knew i could such things...You just made me save 100$...Thnx, A LOT!! :)
thank you for your good and cute vids, but can you please explain how you made the ruffles..? i don't understand how u make the ruffles with an elastic... it would be very nice, if you could make a tutorial.. thnx.. (sry my bad english)..
@Golden121GAZE in description box there is a link that can help you. I answer my questions there... I don't know how much more detailed I can be, I recorded every step I did. It's a simple skirt that simply look amazing! Any suggestions would go great in the forum..for future tutorials as well as explanation! Good luck!
You put on a separate belt over the waistband right? Did you make that too, or is that a piece you bought? It looks really pretty with it, I'm afraid the skirt wouldn't look the same without something like it. =\
u cud just take a gold fairly thick ribbon, tie it into a bow and put some kind of pretty brooche [ or hair accesory ] in the center of the bow n it wud look similar to her belt :)
@BabyMissa I don't like it when someone tries to make the "exact" same thing as me......use your creativity to make something better than what I have posted up. If you don't have this belt I am sure you have a belt in your closet that will look great as well!! Good luck!
do you make all of your own clothes? sooo jealous
