I agree. Although, I've seen pictures of Jules looking A LOT like John in profile...but when I see pics of his mum, Cynthia, when she was younger especially, I see a lot of his mum from the front. There are also a ton of photos with John and Julian together during the Beatle hippie days, so i also believe John made an honest effort. Found it on HeyJules-com! It was driving me crazy that I couldn't find it. It was his Aunt Mater in Scotland who talked him out of it. It's when Julian went with John in 1969 with Yoko, & Kyoko to Scotland for a visit with his Aunt Mater & Uncle Bert. It was after the disagreement with his aunt about suing Cynthia for custody of Julian that they got in the car accident.

Well, John did try to reach out to Julian near the end. He had just spoken to Jules on the phone days before his death & was going to go see him for Christmas. No, it's not about his dad, but that's what the vid implies. It actually was written after he had a fight with his girlfriend at the time. If you got to heyjules-com and click on the "Valotte" icon on the top, left corner. It will take you to a page where you can click on all the songs for "Valotte" and there are quotes as to what the songs are about in Julian's own words. You can do that for all his albums. :)

I was listening to him in cass(Recess) and some were studying and the teacher convined me to join a choir group and I did it for 5 years.. Both Sean & Julian are John's REAL sons. Julian is from John's 1st marriage to Cynthia (Powell) Lennon, who he met in art school before The Beatles became HUGE. Sean is from his marriage with Yoko. Julian didn't see his dad much after he divorced Cynthia when Jules was only 4 or 5. But despite popular belief, the half-brothers are quite close. :)

It being the 80's...they didn't always play live in the videos. But I've seen videos of Jules & the people in his band really playing live. Oh...Jules & the others can play instruments...and very well too. The harmonica was played by someone else, though, & is given credit on the album.
