First time I heard the anthem in New Zealand I laughed pretty hard at them, since it sounds like a cheap 80's low-budget MIDI-file (most of the time that it's performed).

But this version is great and appropriate for that beautiful anthem.

NZ is about the size of the UK or Japan but with only around 4.2 million people.

Same applies to the hundreds of thousands of immigrants who came from all over the world to New Zealand. What defines NZ culture is different to UK Culture. NZ culture itself is a mixture of differen cultures, Maori, Indian, Chinese European and so on. Compared to UK culture, NZ culture is tolerant.

And of course food in NZ is great, not crappy like British food.
