  • This man was amazing at this moment!

  • Can someone out there in Youtube land find the vid of schultz fighting gary goodrich in the UFC? Ive been looking for it for years and cant find it anywhere.

  • @zcolez just use google dammit! search for "mark schultz ufc" and the fight video is like the 5th result

  • man i really want this dvd, but its a non active product on scientific wrestling

  • that man was GREAT !

  • WARRIOR! HIS FAMILY ARE WARRIORS! BRANDON RUIZ IS OF THE SAME BREED! ALPHA MALES TO SAY THE LEAST!

  • My coach trained with mark and said mark was just an animal. He was fast, strong and brutal wearing you down the entire time. my coach had the misfortune of being put in a front headlock by mark and though he would never breath again. Sad thing that happened to his brother though.

  • Fucking animal. A Gorilla among men.

  • This is some of the most creative wrestling I've ever seen.

  • real wresling not just for getting one point to win.

  • @2011seagul You don`t know wrestling right :)? that point is your victory ... in a important championship you don`t must to do a lot of slams ... 1 poit is enaugh for you to win

  • i luv watching good wrestlers, and how they move so quick, its insain

  • @sskkeet27It is chain wrestling. By the looks of it, he countered the opponent's "russian" by turning away fully to get his arm back and executed straight into a single, knowing his opponent's leg would be exposed.

  • Monster

  • beast !!! can someone tell what move he does at 2:54?

  • @sskkeet27 Are you talking about him reversing the armdrag?

  • @sskkeet27 360 double

  • @sskkeet27 that's the 360 double, I like to drop down and do a low double with it cause I actually disappear from view. Pretty unexpected, shocking. Your opponent does not know which way to turn, sprawl or counter. Spin out when they try and peel the collar tie or inside tie with their russian.

  • 0:54

  • perfect title

  • WOW What a Stud Bull 0.08

  • I love wrestling and Jujitsu, I do both. But there is just something about wrestling.... It's so much more physically demanding. An hour of straight rolling in jujitsu isn't nearly as tough as pure wrestling for a hour straight.

  • 1:05 craziest takedown I've seen

  • @762full that's called a gater roll

  • built like a brick shit house

  • dude EPIC.

Nasty kimura on that first guy.

  • the best wrestlers are so athletic. i dont think people realize

  • It is good at edit

  • Wow,Mark Schultz is a monster.

  • Strength meets conditioning

  • this guy is beast i love the move at 3:18

  • This guys went to my schooL!!

  • He's like a croc with that roll!

  • he broke the first guys arm

  • Great video. Thank you for posting. You can definitely see Mark Shultz's gymnastics background in his wrestling style. It's amazing to me how different the styles are of top wrestlers. And the russians have a style that seems different from the americans. I'll bet top russian wrestlers like sajid sajidov and Buvaisar saitiev burn about half as many calories during a match when compared to high intensity wrestlers like sanderon and gable.

  • holy shit!!!! now i know i need more practice

  • this is true wrestling!

  • They do not shoot singles they shoot the highcrotch and switch to a double or they pick it up. Learn the moves please.

  • wrestling is probably the hardest sport out there lol at my school we started out with about 70 kids and at the end we only had less than half that lol

  • for sure. its the most physically and mentally demanding sport. cutting weight and making yourself believe that its worth it to go thru everything you do for wrestling is not easy.

  • @ertren6 yeah dude when i wrestled in high school, we had dudes from the football team come in and try out...we had 28 try out, and 5 stayed

  • I am best friends with his son Mark Jr. Schultz looks just like him!

  • hi \s body kinda looks like kareline's

  • 6:48 beast

  • wow, he's an animal

  • Haha, I love it at right about 5:38!!

  • Wrestling takes it's toll! The body just can't take this for 20 years. This next generation of kids that started wrestling at 5 and having 60/70 matches a year. WOW! The elbows, shoulders, hips, and knees are going to hurt at 50!

  • That is literally the most BRUTAL

grappling vid I've ever seen. Wow. Horrifying.

  • beast

  • Too bad Mr. Schultz has been plagued by injuries and tragedy, I think he would have given Couture a run for his money in the cage.

  • @bjjbear73 Damn right .

  • @bjjbear73 true... but still, he IS one of the best out there, hands down... you could definitely admire him and his brother Dave for their accomplishments... I agree with you also on him and Couture. That would be an excellent wrestling match or MMA fight..

  • Wrestling, oh how I love thee. let me count the ways...........

  • i met him and grew up around byu - i wished i would have went to one of his camps now- i always attended the j robinson - ever want to punish your child in a constructive way - send him to j robinsons- they'll make him puke and push him to the limits and give him/her confidence - hard core workout

  • yeah... thts y they give u the shirt that says "i survived"... its insane.

  • I know that guys got to be thinking how the heck did that happen. lol

  • he has amazing speed for his size

  • I took a few lessons from Mark in SLC and I gotta say he was a very sincere and great human being. I was just a young guy and didnt know much but I felt a serious aura of respect around him when I had never even seen highlights like this.

I hope he is having a good life right now, I wish nothing but the best for him.

  • He's got amazing technique and he's one of the fastest wrestlers I've ever seen. Wow!

  • I had to watch some of those 3-4 times to see just what the hell happened! That's a tough wrestler!

  • incredible. period.

  • This man is probably the greatest man i've ever had the pleasure of meeting..n some coaching on top of that!!! i hope i can live to be this great

  • What a terrific vid. This went on for a good amount of time and could have watched these guys go at it for 3 hours straight. Love that old stuff.

  • youre a beautiful wrestler man... awesome vid

  • He was going to be Douglas high schools wrestling coach in Nevada this year.

  • fucking sick!! DOES ANYONE KNOW THE NAME OFTHE ARTIST AND NAME OF THE SONG

  • what an animal. thanks for the vid, this video woulda went great with fuel by metallica

  • beast !!!!

  • This guy is a monster!!! Holy shit!

  • haha he was just a straight hardnose brutal wrestler.

  • Schultz was a fucking animal. He could have made some major waves if he stayed with MMA.

  • at 1:02, what is that head roll he does called? and why does it sometimes end up with them on their back?

  • It's called a gator roll. Also called a cement mixer. If you don't do it fast enough or whatever, they can stop you halfway and you'll end up on your back. If you mean why the victim ends up on his back, it's because the person that did the move went into a half.

  • That's a russian roll. A cement mixer is when you have one arm around the head and on the chin, and the other arm is underhooking one of the arms. Schultz had his arms locked around his opponents arm and neck.

  • alligator roll... It's tough to explain why it goes wrong through writing though, sorry.

  • Mark Schultz is a fuckin Beast of Burden...

  • dude cannot b taken down

  • I'm surprised Mark Schultz didn't fight again after beating Gary Goodridge very easily in UFC 9. Shoot, he probably would've ended up being a champ if he kept on fighting.

  • Remember what a horrible rep UFC had back then? I remember when bjj and submission grappling tournaments here in so cal were banned because of state athletic commissions freaking out and we had to organize them on Indian reservations. Schultz' employers basically told him fight in the UFC again, and you're done. He made a choice.

  • Comment removed

  • he shoots quick as, rapid hands

  • whats the name of no 2 melody???

  • The two songs are from Ministry's Psalm 69. The first song is "Just One Fix"; and the second one is "N.W.O." Hope that answers your questions.

  • wow, he'a an amazing wrestler. i just love how fluid his movements are and how he uses turns to get his opponents

  • I train briefly with Mark in Jiu-jitsu in 1992-1993. What an amazing athlete, and a humble, kind guy also.

  • I can't believe he only started wrestling as a junior in high school. That's unbelievable.

  • So strong and he would psych out his opponents before the match, poking out his massive upper bodyframe. Great upper body strength!

  • legend

  • OSBA (old school bad ass)...f*n awesome skills

  • I always liked the shoving people over when they tried to trip you trick.

  • The clips at 0:58 and 1:08 are great.

  • it was funny to watch him dominate gary goodridge in the u.f.c.,Schultz is badass.

  • its a shame his brother never got to see kurt angle win the gold medal

  • nevermind I found out what it was

  • what is the name of this song?

  • Next to Cael Sanderson . . .Schultz is the best

  • Very narrow manner of thinking. In college, I'd agree Sanderson is the best. Olympics? You have to remember, Schultz helped make USA wrestling what it is today. It's hard to say any wrestler today is better than any great from the past. Different eras with different rules governing the sport.

  • greco romano é foda

  • amazing wrestler

  • waych his olympic match against the japanese dude. he won flawlessly

  • Bob Backlund lost to him

  • awesome - make more

I enjoyed the music as well.

  • Epic vid! wish we could have seen more Mark Schultz in MMA!

  • he would have slaughtered anybody in the ufc.

i think he would have even beat up randy couture

  • My dad wrestled him and his brother dave both.

Both absolutely 2 of the greats of all times.

  • mark is one amazing wrestler...he came to my high school and talk to us about how he became so great...he started here in ashland OR. and i can tell you just by looking at him he probably could take on a gorilla lol, hes totaly inspired me to dedicate myself to wrestling

  • just plain AWESOME! that dude around 6:00 is gettin jacked ALL around!...musta pissed him off or something! almost feel sorry for him!

  • As for the wrestling... I never saw a more explosive wrestler. I met him at the regionals for the '88 Olympics after his second win, and all he said was, "I'm getting too old for this..." Yeah, riiiiight....

  • Very agile for his size. At what category he used to wrestle?

  • 1:06--love it!

  • His arm drag is just sick!

  • Hey,,it's cool you noticed that!! I was thinking the same thing, but, most wont even pick up on that it's so fast!

  • Mark is one of the best pure athletes to ever compete.

  • What a mean beast

  • UfC AND olymipc gold medalist?

Fuck this guy must be good.

  • Amazing. Simply amazing. This is absolute poetry in motion. Looked up info on Mark Schultz and the wikipedia article on him said he trained Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu under Pedro Sauer, which is pretty cool.

  • one word... beautiful

  • Wow, Mark Schultz just came to my highschool today.

It was really an honor to meet him. He's a great guy.

  • Oh, lord. To the Turk: Head slammed on mat + broken arm = ass kicked.

    A vicious mofo.

  • Holy Sh*t at 3:20

    This guy is a legend!

  • It depends on the match. I think usually catch wrestlers go on the ground, except their are pins so they don't go on their back.

  • If these guys were going for submissions and, had never learned BJJ before, would their match look similiar to this? From my understanding, catch wrestling is folkstyle with all the illegal holds included. Would guys be pulling guard in a catch match, or be constantly moving, trying to get into position to sink in a concession hold? Do catch wrestlers spend most of their time on the ground, as in BJJ, or do they try to get back to their feet as these guys do?

  • breaking the turk's arm with a double wristlock was pure strategy...he was the number one guy in the world. and the tournament was double elimination...by losing he dropped to the bottom...but he eliminated his greatest threat.

  • he started wrestling his junior year of high school

  • guys a freakin beast

  • UFC 9... is his fight i think and as far as brutality goes..wrestling is a contact sport if you go in there thinking you arent gonna get a couple bruises then damn you should not be in there....especially with this boy...

  • Mark Schultz was a great wrestler who i think could have been just as successful without being so brutal, but i do believe breaking the turks arm like that was kinda uncalled for, and yes he did in fact break the turks arm

  • my uncle really is that fuckin mean too. Cool to me though. The turk thing was probably a little on the fucked up side though.

  • just awesome

  • You betcha! It was one of the best albums of 1992. The complete and original title was "Psalm 69: the way to succeed and the way to suck eggs" if memory serves.

Now if you combine the audio greatness of Ministry with the amazing visual brutality and technique of Schultz, then you got GOLD!

  • Yep.

  • This guy is one of the greatest american wrestlers of all time. He's someone I'd be afraid to wrestle because he was so f%&^$*g mean!

  • Psalm 69 and Schultz highlights.... can't lose!

  • That's guy's a pitbull! Still can't find the vid of his UFC fight anywhere.

  • awesome post!

  • amazing

    video complete please

  • Wow!

  • Damn...he's a monster on the mat
