  • So, so true. It is so sad that so many gullible western liberals are so dewy eyed about Islam.

  • You do realize that plenty of Muslims disagree with you when you say that Ibn Ishaq is inauthentic, right?

  • You know, that you already proved in your video that such a disagreement is not to be called islamic ?

  • Your statements are based on ignorance and gross misconceptions. Clearly, your purpose is petty fearmongering and islamophobia.

Without the contribution of Islamic civilization, the modern world as we know it today would not exist. But what would you know about history.

  • Oh? My statements are based on Quran, Sahih Bukhari, and Sirat Rasul Allah. Don't bother trying that "ignorance" accusation to get me to shut up. It may work on Westerners, especially Americans who lack confidence on these matters, but not me. As for the contributions of "Islamic" civilization, they were contributions of the older pre-islamic civilizations carried on by Jews, Christians, and Persians, before Islam drained their creativity. What did Islam contribute but war?

  • Ibn Ishaq's Sirat Rasul Allah. I thought so. It's a favorite of most antiislamic Christian evangelists and atheist fondies. Unfortunately for you, it's a lousy resource.

If you ever read the holy Quran or the Sahihs, the primary islamic resources, I doubt you understood them. Islam is nothing short of a blessing to humanity. Without it, human civilization would still be in the dark ages.

    Peace

  • As I'm sure you know, Ishaq is known through excerpts in Ibn Hisham, but it is still a commonly accepted part of the Sunnah. However it was not my primary source for the things I said in this video. You know well that Sharia punishments are derived from Quran and ahadith. Instead of making general accusations of ignorance, prove that these things are not found there. You know it is not just salafi nutjobs who believe them. Which of the four main schools of jurisprudence denies them?

  • Like I said, the book attributed to Ibn Ishaq is unauthentic. As to Sharia, the punitive laws of it's judicial system, that which you want to exclusively focus on, is nothing more than 0.99% of this vast domain that encompasses all aspects of a Moslim's life and society.

You can find similar Sharia punitive laws in the Old and New testament. Peace.

  • Yes, there are very harsh things in the Mosaic law. What makes Sharia relevant is that so many people see it as a guide for life right now. Jews abandoned the more strict and harsh parts of Mosaic law even before Muhammad's time, let alone now. Even outside of the harsh aspects, complete and total guidance for someone's life is something I absolutely oppose - particularly when people are trying to impose it on MY society - and they are, bit by bit.
