You people are taking the whole "boom car" thing WAY out of proportion. "having to wear earplugs 4 hours a day." "Hearing that non-stop booming for hours on end."

I live by one of the busiest streets in my city and I hear a car with subs MAYBE 1-2 times a week. If you are hearing loud stereos at all hours of the night, you probably live in the fucking ghetto and need to move to a better part of town.

if you want quiet&peace environment move to country or forest where your next home is at least 3km away from the public road.

Nobody doesnt need to live quiet as possible just because you want your peace.

Other way to make your house quieter is to spent some money for soundproofing your home. With experience of many houses, I know how badly soundproofed homes are. Home soundproofing requirements are too low to keep homes cheaper.

I understand that unnecessary noise is something that should not be tolerated, however on bikes I disagree. I was almost ran off the road 3 times in a 2 week period. After getting some loud pipes installed, people now see me before it is too late. If there are people that rev their engine to piss you off, it is something personal. I do not rev my engine or make my bike loud in the neighborhood, only on the highway. BTW...Bikers are among the nicest people I have ever met. You should try it.

Well if motorcycle's were silent you would have the Government saying they were to quiet like they did in the case of the Hydrogen motorcycle in great Britain. Also the exhaust note has saved the lives of some of my friends...because those of you in SUV's just think you can merge whenever it suits you. If you hear a bike you are less likely to kill a biker. PS: Motorcycles are more fuel efficient than any car currently made so if you want to ban them you kill an eco-friendly alternative.

Noise pollution creates a lot of stress. I think this video may have exagarated the sound of the motorcycle to make a point. I think that is fine.

I feel crazy with the sound of leaf blowers in my apt. complex. Not only one is going but several at once! The nosie is outrageous and totally disburbs by peace. Also, these leaf blowers pollute the air with gasoline fumes and toxins they spew inot the air.

Some communities have outlawed them for these reasons.

This is understandable but I can tolerate leaf blowers, mowers, cars with bad mufflers, etc. It's not intentional or unbearable and it's over soon enough. The thing that drives me crazy are these car stereos. Intermittent, intentional, wall shaking noise that you can feel for 4 hours or so a day. It's actually all day, but it's boom boom boom, quiet for 5 minutes, boom boom boom, quiet for 4 minutes, etc for about 4 hours each day. The police have been unable to do anything.

@BeingBob - landscaping kind of machinery noise is intentional and unbearable. Part of a better way of life means leaving nature to grow naturally everywhere, and if it really honestly does need to be reduced or removed cause otherwise someone'd get sick or die from it, then it can be done using quiet hand tools. Now this is reality TV! I don't know whether to cheer or cry. It is a sadly accurate depiction of our so-called civilised lives. So much of our home time is spent in exactly this state of angst and frustration due to the intrusive noise of careless people. The characters are disturbingly resigned to defeat.
