  • You can totally tell this is sooo fake, no spray paint on the cars, or else it's real!!

  • wOWWw0oooooo!

  • That's strange, I just checked this out and it works fine for me.

  • For some strange reason, this video will NOT play? I've tried it several times & I get the same results? It plays for 40 seconds & then freezes up every time? This is your only video that does this? Is anyone else having the same issue with this video???

  • Wow! sounds like we're on the same track--I just took over the entire running of the house, going to be an interesting winter. Only 58"--too bad, such a small set{just kidding} mine's 60" and still runs perfectly. We spend the evenings watching NETFLIX movies that I have picked out. When my girl watches the soaps, all afternoon, I can sneak down and check out the road.

  • Yes Sir, gotta keep the ladies happy if we want to fully enjoy this amazing hobby, lol. I'm retired (medically) & the little woman still works so, I play with my trains all day while she's at work & then I spend my evenings with her. It works out just beautifully & we both are happy. She also loves the big screen (58" Panasonic) & enjoys watching all the old movies & TV thru NetFlix which is hooked up to the big screen. When she gets involved with the TV, I manage to sneak out to the trains!

  • whicht wide angle did you use? 0.7x, 0.79x or other?

    i've bought a canon hf s10 today.

    i have a canon gl2 with a canon 0.7x.

    thanks in advance

  • @celiobarros unable to use the reply

  • @celiobarros I purchased a RAYNOX HIGH DEFINITION WIDE ANGLE LENS .7x

  • @celiobarros I also use a RODE mic. after I fashioned a bracket to mount on the hfs10 shoe. You should also consider a uv lens 82mm and a lens hood.

  • @celiobarros I've forgotten what size your GL2 lens is, but I'd try adapters and go with your CANON wide angle lens as it's so expensive.

  • Thank you, It's been alot of fun----unfortunatly I'm now a nurse also so I don't have the time now.

  • Great train set!!! Wouldn't it be a challenge to film it like it were real, with no cracks in the "reality" so it looks like a movie model? (ie; no walls and other basement stuff, just trains, hills and buildings. Maybe use an even wider angle lens...)

  • @StanleyT123 A larger wide angle lens would be very expensive and you'd have to be constantly concerned with your camera angle as distortion comes into play when you leave the horizontal plane.

  • This video is in the top 5 of great video's.

Don't forget also to spend some time with the wife.

  • As a matter of fact, she's waiting for her dinner. Just getting over a stay at the hospital again! Thank you for the comment. I wonder what people think of this layout. Back in Oct. I purchased a Digital DCC system and I don't seem to be getting anywhere with it. It's for people who grew up with computers. When I power up I get a" track idle" most of the time. I spend most of my time maintaining my girl of forty years. Fortunately she enjoys our 60" TV which is on all day.

  • omg i thought this railrouad was real!!!! wow im a a dumbass!!! lol

  • No No No! your not dumb---it's just that I'm that good!

  • Im not into model railroads, was just looking for footage using the HFS10. But I must say this is very impressive!! I can only imagine the time, effort and money that went into building that - awesome,

  • Well isn't that too bad! You've missed a great hobby. I started this hobby back in "54" and have had many enjoyable hours of entertainment. The layout is only 32' x 24'----small house, and have built more than 100 buildings from kits. Most of the people on the layout are hand painted and will number more than 500. I'm trying to install radio control now to operate the layout and put a value of $45,000 on it. I promise I'll put up more footage in the near future as my wife is coming home.

  • Great video. Super layout. Great sound. Whose layout? HO?

  • Thank you. My next video will be without the wide angle lens and Rode mic.

    honest I will some day!

  • Nice!

  • Well, thanks for that,I don't claim to be any expert but I have built many layouts and have learned what not to do. May be I'll explore sectionalizing the layout and explain why each track is there. It's all used by the way.

  • Very nice video, your layout looks even better in HD. You should do a Tour layout series and with explanations on what you were trying to achieve in each scene. You are getting to be a Video expert.

  • Thank you

  • Hopfully the next one will be even better.

  • Nice job, Dad!

  • I've been teying all day to put up a video and all I get is that it didn't go---thanks for letting me know it apparently did make it. I'll try and see if it went up in HD. Check again tomorrow it might be up in HD if it's not all ready.

  • very cool vid shots always great vids
