When that didn't happen, they tried to create a civil war.

Umm, from the start, Hamas was never opposed to elections.

When George Bush forced, thats right, FORCED Fatah to have elections, all Bush's advisors begged him not too because they knew Hamas would win.

I read about two days ago, their was a poll done in Gaza AND the West Bank. The majority is in Hamas' hand.

Hamas even had an election in Gaza to choose its leaders, which proves it FULLY embraces democracy.

We will see If the West Bank leadership also like democracy or enjoys power more!

Hitler burned the Reichstag building to undermine elections and opposing parties. And in Palestine's case Fatah has done the same. It is Fatah that has conspired with other nations ( Israel & America ) to undermine an elected party and it is they who have removed the chance of further elections.

AGAIN, youare WRONG. It was the US who FORCED Fatah to have an election.

The constitution of Palestinian states that the Prime Minister can stay in power for 4 years. In that time, Hamas already has had an election to choose its leaders.

When 2010 rolls around, Hamas will call for elections,and because they are by the people and for the people,they will win.

They are corruption free, and spend 90% of their budget on humanitarian needs of its people.

its obvious that the elections was a trap set up to divide . the west wasn't happy with Fateh, and they called for election. who did they expect to have in power if they were hoping for someone other than Fateh?

Israel only turned a blind eye to Hamas, they DID NOT help it. Amid the corruption of the PLO, Hamas would have taken control anyways!

i know Fateh is corrupt, but at the same time i know that nothing good will come out of Palestinians fighting each other.
