I think it's great that you young men are getting involved in something that can uplift you, and those around you. Just be aware, all religions have been used by men to manipulate & control it's followers, and unfortunatly Islam is no exception. So-called Christians did it with the Crusades, buddhists & hindus are still doing it in Asia. Since CE Muslims have been steadily raping Africa of all their resources, forcing them to convert, and oppressing everyone especially women.
They have been more destructive than empowering to the muslims in Africa, not to mention the wars the Moors faught. Be especially aware of Muslim groups who may wish to recruit young impressional youth.
