Damnit, instead of making more advanced mobile suits. Zeons should have stuck with making more zaku iis and goufs. Gelgoog was useless because of the lack of experience soldiers. No matter how advanced that machine is, if you can't pilot it you are screwed.

The Gouf Custom is by far one (if not the) of the best Zeon ground MS. It would be better in this game if you could move and shoot while using the Gatling ( primary reason I use the 90mm. Don't want to be standing still against the Mudrock) and if you could use the shield Gatling

The Gouf custom is the best model Zeon ever produced besides the DOM and Sazabi, Frankly I don't think any pilot besides Shiro would have stood a chance.

Amuro would just wet himself against a Gouf with a good pilot.

But for arguments sake their lack of sense worked best with the plot line, ZEON is evil and the federation/Gundams always win.

I have to say however that Gundam 008 was really fresh though, it only helped that the animation kicked ass!

don't get me wrong, I love me the gouf custom but it is FAR from the best model. from the OYW alone, the gelgoog would like a word with you since it even matches up with and according to some stats OUTCLASSES the RX-78-2.

I think the Gouf custom is the best land attack ZEON mobile suit.

The best space model would probably be Chars Sazabi or some other elite model.

But the Gouf custom is my favorite because of its simplicity and versatility.

Hey have anybody notice that in this game the beam spray gun is competly useless and yet on wiki it said it can melt dom armor and it can barly melt zaku1 armor in the game.

yeah the beam spraygun was complete garbage in this game. On that thought, I found the Feddie suits to be mostly (MOSTLY) useless in the simulations. The Hyper Bazooka didn't impress me, neither did any of the GMs nor Gundam RX-79[G]. I only liked the White Base suits and MP Guncannon, which were overpowered anyways. Not even the S-Armor or Mudrock impressed me. Only when fighting against them were the Fed suits any good.

But all in all, this game rocked. Best Gundam I've played on PS2.

@BlackAce1229 Lol yeah. Last night I was trying to beat CounterAttack with the GM sniper solo, and I couldn't kill shit. I kept getting smashed by that MS team waiting right in front of of where Blue team spawns. Both of the beam spray guns suck in this game intensely. It could be also that in the Feddie sims that most if not all of the Zeon are armed with type B armor, but at the same time they drop like pancakes with the ground gundam, or RX-78. Oh well. I still play this game almost everyday.

The computer must be blind to allow a Gouf to hide behind trees spread that thinly. But it was kind of funny to watch it charge straight past an enemy suit in the smokescreen without being bothered.

Basically:

Front = hitting a bull head on

Sides = shield may get in the way

Back = engines go kablooie

Long distance = less accurate

No not really, the 1st time around its normal, but the 2nd and 3rd time around the campaign mode most enemy vehicle are replace with ms that can use support weapon like stun grenade and later on can be equipped with a beam rifle to kill you. If you want an easy campaign difficult start a new game, for hard, beat the game and continue the file from begining to end.

This game was like a pre-rainbow six las vegas. It had weapon loadouts that were very well detailed,you planned routes and strategies between teams and while the combat was intense the stealth missions like this one were exhilarating. Also it had a good balance of difficulty, when u hit a hard mission it made you look at everything you did wrong and perfect it until u became not only a good pilot but a startegist. Now Bandai just pumps out Trash Gundam games, it annoys me how bad they treat us

Damn straight. This game was glorious and I adored it. Now every Gundam game is the same awful interface and gameplay with different titles. The most recent one I played was "Encounters in Space" on the PS2 and it was awful. They basically took out half of the prequel games like Federation Vs. Zeon and slapped a new title on it. Although the game is one of the first to have my favorite mobile suit of all time, the GM Sniper II.

if you pay attention on sim 32 a lot of enemies have mixed weapons that regular gameplay wont allow, like a zaku i with a heat sabre, a feddy shield, AND the 3 barrel MG. WTF!

You'll find Dom Tropens with 08th Team shields and beam sabers, and other missions you'll find GM S-Armors with G-Shields, GM Command types with beam rifles, and a lot of other layouts that aren't "conventional" or allowed by players

I know I tried so hard to score so many S,s on the simulations and missions only to find out that I cant get a beam rifle for my GM command,GM,or my GM armor S type and the GMs beam spray gun is almost worthless.

oh there is no "almost" about it. The Beam spray Gun is fucking useless. It's as useless as a can of mace in an uzi fight.

I also hate how long it takes to fire a feddie bazooka. Notice how the Doms can zip around and all they do is lift up the muzzle and fire and continue to move, but the GM S-Armor stops, crouches down fires, and stands back up. They made the federal suits, save for the Gundam and Guncannon, totally useless. Most of them aren't even teams! Just solo units.

I know Adgar had 2 more Guncannons with him in the game,( oh by the way when I say almost useless I mean compeletly useless for the beam spray gun.) and dont get me started about the GMs and GM command super weak armor the Zakus armor was stronger than that they are a mass produce units.

Yeah, I was actually impressed with the Zaku's performance in this game.  The only reason Zaku's have a crappy reputation among fans is because they are seen being slaughtered by a hyper-advanced prototype. I could care less about most GMs. But at least they aren't Leos :-)

Also, the RX-79[G] from 08th Team was mass produced (albiet in really small numbers). Why not have a 3-man team of them? That would at least be on par with the a trio of really good Zakus or Goufs.

In this part, Shiro's was rebuilt as the EZ-8 Gundam and one had a GM head on after getting the Gundam one destroyed, but technically it's 3 RX-79(G)'s.

Easiest way to complete this mission was to use a Dom. Its absurdly easy with the Dom Tropan(sp?). Though the gouf is more fun to use since it requires more tactics.

If you had ever played this game, you would have known that hitting a mobile suit from behind does a lot more damage than from the front, on both you and the enemy. Sometimes resulting in a one hit kill. Shooting an MS from the front does less damage.

If you watch Zeta Gundam, you will see that Gihren was right about the Federation. And you will also understand Char's speech in Char's Counterattack. A major role-reversal from the One Year War standpoint.

I always liked Zeon technology, militaria, and all the other details better anyways.
